More recently, the game sweeping iOS users up a vacuum goes by the name of Temple Run. Just like the aforementioned, it is incredibly simple to play, but difficult to master – particularly if you don’t have the steady hand and concentration. You control the direction and position of a continually running Indiana Jones-like character, avoiding obstacles such as fallen trees and large gaps while collecting power-ups and coins in order to survive for longer and unlock additional extras.

While there is no multiplayer feature, the competitive edge is still prevalent in the score achievable. On the iPhone version, the final challenge is to get a total score of 10 million, which is calculated using a combination of distance covered and coins collected, and is, often, the achievement which eludes.
Droidsters will be pleased to learn that Temple Run is now in the process of being ported through to Android, with developer Imangi Studios’ Keith Shepherd stating:
"We are excited to finally share the Android release date with our fans who have been so enthusiastic and supportive of Temple Run. By expanding to more mobile devices, we hope to provide the same addictive and fast-paced gameplay to an entirely new group of players."
Although the release is sure to please Android users, iOS users will also have a larger army of potential rivals in the battle to see who is the niftiest Temple Runner.
If you’ve just come out of hiding and haven’t heard of Temple Run, well, it’s kinda popular, having just surpassed 40 million downloads on iOS, so you may want to give it a try! There will be a free to download version of Temple Run available on March 27th!

Yeah they hired an outside development company to port it to Android, since they didn't have enough staff/time to do it themselves.
Let Down
Honestly I think Imagni screwed up the port to android on so many levels:
1. It's laggy and not nearly as smooth as iOS
2. The app still constantly crashes for me making it impossible to actually play the game
3. Took way to long to port
4. The hype and momentum the game had in the beginning is fading away
The app should have either been released along side the iOS version or a few weeks after, not months .
I would say : Finally!!!
"about time" agreed, was such a tease watching co-workers play on their iphones
My son has it on his iOS and I have been waiting ages for it to be ported to the Android but unfortunately I am very disappointed. It feels rushed. A lot more laggy than the smooth iOS version and mine (Desire) will have the character run into the left wall after you choose run again. Also, the left and right swipe only make the character jump.
With these bugs, I have just uninstalled it until they sort the port out.

Hi,
I am independent Android game designer and developer and few weeks ago I released my first game project Frenzy Fugu Fish after 6 months of fulltime effort. Game was already reviewed on few sites and got 4.5/5, 10/10 and similar ratings (so I am pretty proud). I would be happy to get feedback on this forum from gameplay and also from designer/developer point of view.
http://market.android.com/details?id=com.frenzyfugu.frenzyfugu
Screenshots are below.
Frenzy Fugu is casual fish game with 45 levels in 3 sets, each set with unique graphics design of the environment and introducing new game elements. Game will receive new set of 15 levels each month.
By tilting the phone you control Fugu, the Puffer Fish and have to collect all pearls in the level within a given time limit. If you finish the level below the time limit, you get one star for each 20 seconds (up to 3 stars). Just finishing the level is not complicated, challenge is to finish it and get 3 stars.
Over the time you will meet various enemies and obstacles. There are various fish, stone fish, jellyfish, anemones, starfish, bubbles etc. Some are just obstacles some will try to eat you. In some levels you can collect pufferpoison powerup to inflate as all puffer fish do and are invincible for short period of time and even can eat smaller fish. First few levels are very easy ones to get used to control the fish and principles of the game.

Game was developed using great free framework Andengine, I recommend it to everyone. Currently Zynga is using it for new projects.

Great, I hope you downloaded version 1.0.3 I released this evening. There are small "clocks" on pearls to make the gameplay more tactical
Here is short gameplay video created by reviewer. I need to create my own next week, as camera cannot be used for this because of tilting the phone, I have to use video cable to HW recorder.

Nice work
Wow the graphics looks incredible! I managed to get to level 10 in first levels and level 5 in next set )) Is there any way how to publish my score to net, like Openfeint or similar?
I would also suggest to improve help a bit, for example slowly introduce info on new game elements like Angry Birds did with introducing their birds.
Apart from that, perfect game, congratz.
T.
Thanks, nothing is good for my ego than liking my game )))
Yes, I am planning to add there OpenFeint or ScoreLop or other service, makes sense, but I was focusing now on finishing last updates to gameplay based on user feedback.
Hmm, HELP. Yes, maybe you are right, there is only one helpscreen that shows up before playing first level and then only after you click the icon Help. Need to think about it, as you can choose to play different sets of levels since beginning. I got feedback that most of the users just skip the initial help screen and go directly for game. Need to think about it, but thanks for feedback!
Any other end user advice? As the game is only getting the mommentum there are possible changes to gameplay
Good and Fun Game
Thx.
@fredrikk: level set 4 in progress, part of current update available on market, use standard unlock Official release in 2 weeks. Version for reviews with unlocked levels available too, use standard link, 01_004_unlocked.

Here is one bug
When I switched off sound and vibration almost at the same time the sound did not stop and it was not possible to switch it off even after I ended the app. It happened to me only once and when I did tapped sound and vibration immediately one after another.
This happened to me with few more games like Where is my water and one other (do not remember which one).
So not a big problem, but you should know about it.
T.
Yeah, thanks. I am aware of that bug but I am not able to resolve it. It happens occassionaly, the game is not able to switch off sound. Really rare, still I hope to find a solution. Happens to me with more games too. Thanks again for report.
What framework was used for development? Graphics is really cool I like the waterworld. I working on small game too, decided to go with Andengine.
cool game
cool game, playing it since yesterday, perfekt graphic
Yup, AndEngine. Pretty cool framework, without that one, it would far harder to make a game. It is pretty stable too. I used older version, from march/april 2011, now there is out GLES2, need to play with that one a bit to get familiar with. Probably new game will be done with GLES2.
i hope i will make such game someday, will check the andegine
Ragequit because the pearls kept closing.
10/10

Oh my ))
Imagine now, that the afternoon before first release I finished all 45 levels twice for 3 stars all of them, just to proper test the game But of course, after the 6 months of development I had the perfect experience in controlling the fish
But with the small clock on pearls in latest release I think it should be far easier.
10/10? Rating?
Nice one
its a nice one u got here...
really cool graphics....
Finished all levels. But by far not for 3 stars, som levels are damn haaaaaaard! Addictive, but maybe I am too old for that, my daughter beats me in most levels :-D
Congrats with release! Game looks very polished and works great on milestone 2.

I know these are in JPN only but still these look awesome and I would love to see Kemco release these. I have email Kemco regaring each game asking if they plan to release in ENG. If anyone is interested please email them at the address below:

lol, I predicted that Infinite Dynamis would be on your list.
All the Kemco fanatics are looking forward to that. I still need to get into Knight of the Earthends!
I emailed them about 15 minutes ago and this was their response, from a live person not a computer zombie. (well maybe..lol) Kemco is always so dang fast replying, always in minutes never days or hours even.
My email to them:
Hello,
I am a huge fan of your current games that are optimized for the Xperia PLAY. Just to name a few:
Eve of the Genesis
Aeon Avenger
Symphony of Eternity
Dark Gate
I am aware that Symphony of the Origin will be released soon in English but was wondering if you could tell me if there are any other games currently in development that will be seeing a release in English and or any older Kemco games that will see a translation from Japanese to English? I look forward to your future projects and do sincerely hope that you continue to support the Xperia PLAY. Thank you for your time.

I gotta say... at first that game looked painfully generic, but it turned out to have the most enjoyable class system I've seen on any RPG in a really long time! I ended up starting End of Aspiration late because I wanted to get the most out of Dark Gate.

Description
The next installment in the smash hit JRPG series, Alphadia II, is finally here! It’s time to unleash your energi once again and enjoy an immersive experience in a new and exciting world honed to perfection with a massive graphical overhaul, richly developed characters, and a streamlined battle system!
Alphadia II takes players on an unforgettable adventure 200 years after the events of the first Alphadia. Though after seemingly being lost to the inhabitants of the world, energi once again makes its appearance, and before long begins to drive opposing powers into an all out scramble to take control of this ever diminishing resource.

Those new to this exciting series can check out and also purchase the original Alphadia at the linked address below!

Energi… the source of power interconnected with all living things.
In times of old, the human race erected a great civilization that thrived on the use of this power. However, some two centuries earlier, an incident known as the Energi Crisis erupted and led to the planet's energi being sealed away. As a result, people lost the mysterious powers they were once capable of harnessing.
The story now picks up with the protagonist, Leon, who has been assigned to his first solo mission by the Energi Guild. And there within his mind echo the words of the guildmistress when she stated: "Energi is the hidden power within each individual. It is the power of the heart and mind, and when purposefully sought, its true potential is unleashed."
■Nostalgia at its best! It’s like old-school meets new-school with perfect harmony!
Sporting a colorful and gorgeously detailed 2D battle system, individual break skills, elementals that combine to create more powerful energi skills, and even an auto-battle function, Alphadia II comes equipped with everything fans of traditional JRPGs could expect and caters to both the hardcore and casual gamer alike!
■Energi is the key!
Energi is derived from one of six unique elementals and has the power to not only grow, but lead players to the acquisition of new and more powerful energi skills. These energi skills then, in turn, play an integral role in attack, recovery, and even support. Furthermore, once two separate elementals have reached a certain level, they can be combined to create even more powerful energi skills!
■Can you handle it?!
Aside from a voluminous story, Alphadia II offers a new "Mission" system in which players are able to accept missions from the guild in order to receive valuable coins. These coins can then be exchanged for powerful equipment and other hard-to-get items later on. In addition to the main story and missions is a wealth of subquests, making this title truly the whole package. In fact, after finishing the game, there may be still much more to do than one might think!

Other then my brief lapse of faith I am sure that there will be other games from Kemco with XP support. Both Alphadia's, and Grinsi (I think thats how its spelled) are the onyl games from them not XP optimzed. So I would be surprised if this was the begining of the end.
I'm sure this isn't the end.
Alphadia, as well as a few others - are simply published by Kemco with different teams behind them. The previous Alphadia wasn't optimized for Xperia Play at all and this one seems to use the same game engine - so it's not really surprising.
Just noticed this today. I bought the Knight of the Earthends when it was released and noticed today that now there is a version for Xperia devices....... looks like we get som additonal stuff thats not in the regular versions.
ORiginal, version I own:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...a#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDIxMiwia2VtY28ud3dzLnZnYSJd
Xperia Only Version:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...GwsMSwxLDIxMiwia2VtY28ud3dzLnZnYS54cGVyaWEiXQ..
Edit: It now appears there is a special mode that can be unlocked where you can battle of Xperia users via our character in this game. Interesting........... Dont know if its online or simply local bluetooth/wifi.
I couldn't find any information regarding an online battle system; it appears they just added a new difficulty exclusive to Xperia devices but please link if you know anything more about the online mode.
Thanks for pointing this out btw, I've never tried a Kemco game, I have lost the will to play JRPGs (have tried playing Chrono Cross, Star Ocean: Second Story, FFIX, FFX, Grandia 2, etc. this year and haven't enjoyed any of them) but somehow I'm finding this game to be a lot of fun. First of all, it is ugly as sin and the scrolling effect when moving from one area of the screen to the next actually hurts my eyes. The story and characters are awful IMO. Beyond that, this game gets everything else right. Each character works very differently while still being completely customizable. The battles are quick and fun. The dungeons are designed well. The game has so far (only played for about two hours) been wonderfully linear and the map and quest-log systems make sure that I'm not endlessly searching for the next destination. Great find, completely worth 99 cents!
I thought I read it from Kemcos Facebook page. When I have a minute I'll see if I can find it and post it here

kk, thanks. Would be awesome if it was included but if so it's strange that they have completely hidden any information on it within the game itself.
Hi. After playing video games for almost 20 years now, we (a frind of mine and me) finally decided to create one by ourselves. We released the first version on google play store these days...
I hope everybody has a great time and a lot of fun with this game. For questions to technical details and other stuff i am available, of course, in this thread, or you can drop me a mail
Fly the dragon named Dracoo through the lovely 2d scenery in this casual game. Roast as many enemies as possible with your fiery breath. But watch out, they will try to harm you.

The game runs really smooth with no problems so far for me. Its really challenging but that might be because im so bad at games xD cute graphics as well may I suggest different 'types' of dragons or fireballs in the future?

I'm glad everything worked smoothly. We thought about different power ups with different effects and ammo (ice ball for example). We plan to deliver new levelpacks through updates later this year. We would include these new powerups there. Thanks for this suggestion. I will discuss it with my partner, but it seems logical to me. It would enhance the depth of the level design
Is the game too hard? Some people stated by now that it is a little too challenging. They haven't faced the first boss yet. He will be hard work to beat
When I was designing the levels, I had games like rayman origins or the gameboy classic parodius in mind. This games are very challenging too. I hoped, our levels can be beaten with less than 5 trys per level from the average casual player. To target all 3 eggs per level is very challenging indeed.
What is your opinion? Should we aim a little lower?
Maybe have a selection of 'easy', 'normal', and 'hard' levels?
COOL!!!
funny, cool !!
Awesome!, It kinda remind me space impact
looks soo cartoon pretty
Reminds me of Rayman Legends style.. EXCELLENT WORK!
I gotta hand it to you, the game got me hooked. Over and over again trying to get a full 3 star. Hahaha and I agree, it is challenging but that's what I find to be the charm here. When playing, you get this feeling that it's not that hard but everytime I failed I always go; "ugh, just a little more" or " damn, curse that dead end" lol but I always came back for more. Thanks

Thank you very much. It is fun to make a game. But it is even more fun when someone actually is playing it. :fingers-crossed:
At the moment, we are drawing and designing the 3rd levelpack: Terror Forest We're going to put 3 free levels in the Lite version, of course. The full version will have 45 Levels (and we will enhance the gametime with additional levelpacks via updates). And the full version will be ad-free. I hate the fact that we had to put Ads in the lite version, sorry for that. But, at least the GameScreen itself and the TitleScreen remains ad-free. I would love to read more feedback from you.
I hope everyone has a great time with our game. And don't be shy: Please rate Dracoo Lite in the Google Play Store. :good: :good: :good: :good: :good:

Beautiful!!!
Very cool game, run smooth and the graphics is very good. It is a little hard to play but it is also very very fun!!! :good:
Looks really nice, reminds me of Rayman Origins with Rayman being on one of those mosquito's.
I'll be getting this on Play Store.
Cool
Awesome
Runs smoothly on my Galaxy S2 (CM 10.1).
Nice ExtJS level editor too.
Can you give to us developers a overview of the geral game architecture ?
Do you use a SurfaceView in the game ? How you do it so smoothly ?

Thank you. I use the LibGdx framework for creating the game. They supply everything you need, from box2d physics simulations to application lifecycle handling. But, compared to cocos2d, it is more technical and you have to do more things by yourself. When it comes to performance and asset management, I bet I have done some things wrong (this was my first android app and my first game). But with every update, it becomes better . I wrote a small "history of prototypes" on our homepage a little while ago, where you can see the milestones we achieved with each version. But I stopped updating some versions ago, so the latest version of the game is not there. To run the game in your browser, you need the webGl plugin.
We plan to make some development and design-tutorials in the future (2-3 moth from now). Frankly, since we have dayjobs too, it is a matter of time. But I hope we find the time to walk you throw the tricky parts of game development. If you like to keep track, simply like our facebook page or check this forum post in the libGdx forum.
Why is it so smooth? Hm. Maybe because I went down an endless road, trying to tweak the performance. I came up with some pretty memory-saving ideas how to build the parallax. More on that topic will be covered in a seperate tutorial.
When you think now: Hey, why is it not smooth on my device? That is probably because of the HD graphics we used. Not every phone can handle this big graphics and animations without problems. Especially phones with 320x480 screens. But we are working on that.
Surface view: My understanding ist that LibGdx uses a GlSurfaceView under the hood, but usually you do not get in touch with that.
cool !
good work bro...
congratulations !!!
its ok to play
Hi there,
I was hoping to get some feedback on my indie game: 'Mole Warfare', which now has a FREE version on Google Play. This version has all the features of the paid version but with minimal ad support.
You can get the app at on Google Play now

Mole Warfare is simple to pickup and play. Players must strategically set a bomb fuse length with their finger then roll it along a variety of tunnels by leaning the device left and right.
FREE fully featured release with minimal ad support
Touch screen and accelerometer controls allow you to plan and execute your bombing runs
Roll through 60 levels of increasing difficulty, across 3 uniquely themed chapters
Avoid obstacles and traps to reach your target before the bomb explodes, but don’t overshoot the mark!
Collect useful power ups to help you reach the target
Boost your ranking with a shorter fuse, using less bombs and collecting as much mole money as you can, along the way
Future ‘themed’ bonus levels planned for even more moley action
We have a website at molewarfare.co.uk with a development blog if you’re interested in how Mole Warfare came to be.
Cheers for looking, this is my first foray into programming or games creation for that matter
Hope you enjoy!
Johnny
Hi everyone, feedback would be very useful and perhaps we can swap downloads / reviews if you have a free app online too

- I decided not to use in-app purchases as I prefer games without them myself. I wanted to give players the full featured game with revenue only coming from ads (or purchases of the ad-free game). Perhaps I should at least promote the paid version of the game within the free version?
- Sorry to sound very amateur but, what's arm v6?

Hi illusion, thanks for playing.
I gave Space Scrollers a go, it's quite a challenge but nice and simple to play. Good to see there's a quick tutorial in there.
The only thing I'd say is, occasionally I swipe and nothing happens which can be a problem when the spaceships are building up on screen!
The amusing interesting game, really very much likes

Many people are having this swipeproblem, then i got to know that people are not swiping it correctly, they swipe in diagonal which doesnt take any effect.
Wish to see you scoring more

Thanks playing and the nice feedback. Also for explaining arm6! I'm unsure it will run on low end devices. The oldest phone I tested it on was a Galaxy S2, which ran it smoothly. I do know that the earliest OS it'll run on is Android 2.2. I'd be interested to hear from players with lower-end devices if they manage to run Mole Warfare.

It is type of processor. Older phones use arm version 6 processor architecture. So If you wrote app for arm 7 users with arm 6 devices can not see this app on google play. But I think there is too small amount of arm 6 devices for nowadays but they still are.
I like moles
Yes I also think, that youtube videos are key to better understandment!

Thank you for your post! It is under development, we are working hard on this game, you could send email to us about your ideas, feature request, experiences and issues! It is based on the FreeCiv but it is MMO and it is designed to mobile; the rule set is continuously evolving based on the players feedback.

Well... My first offer is: I think you should really change "Offered By: Golden Age of Civilizations" in Google Play There should be your name, not the game.

Oh, we will establish a company with the name of the game soon, so that every registration and domain name based on the prospective company name...
Do you want me to translate for you this game description for Google Play into Russian? (for free)
This game is a great idea!
I understand it’s still in development, so I have few suggestions:
- I think the basic development of the cities is too slow. We hit times like 1 day or more only to build the 1st building. It would be more motivating if we could do the basic buildings in few hours.
- On the other hand, for the research, it’s a bit weird that we can discover new knowledge instantly as long as we have science points. I understand that the time to gather these points = time to discover this knowledge, but it makes the evolution the civilization a bit weird: Nothing happened during decades (because the player didn’t take care of his science points) and then, the civilization go under a major science breakthrough discovering the wheel, horseback riding and iron working at the same time (because the player noticed he had a huge amount of science point to spend).
- The unit movement needs more fluidity
Keep the good work !

Making unit movement more fluid will make the animation slower; as I know it terrible irritates the users
I like the unit movement animation, when are shown the phantom of the unit path. Alas, it's not the task for the free indie game, I suppose

UI improvement
I understand, that you are focusing on features, but you really should spend some time in an apealing UI. This is really necessary because many users will look just 1 time at your app and in this moment, they have to be caught by a nice design.
The images don't have to be "the best drawing images of all time", but they have to be similar with all other assets used in the game and share one design. They have to build up a whole thing together. For now, your UI and the Game-World are seperated thigns, they don't look like one thing.

You are right but it is a hobby project and we have no time to do all task at once.
We've just finished a border drawing feature! It is a huge first step toward the complex territory based actions, like see everything inside border, bound resources of the cities must be on an owned tile and military units of a nation at peace with the territory owner are not allowed.
Waiting for final version
Its an awesome game. As i downloaded i was skeptic of the game play as the name suggested it must be something like Ages of Empire kind of thing. But beta version proved to be a huge fun.
I even recommended to my mates & but still waiting for their feedback. So just waiting for the final version now. I hope its better than it sounds, cuz market is saturated with this genre games. So thank you developing team and I hope you guys have mega success with this game.
