hey switched to vegan beta 3 from tnt lite 3.1.1. to try it out. i switched to vegan beta 3 instead of 4 because it seems to be more stable right now. from what i've been reading, beta 4 still has a few issues that still coming up. anyway, i really like the vegan rom since it's really close to my nexus s in appearance which i really love, but the market has not updated to the new one. is this because of the beta 3 rom or another reason. how can i get the new market back.
also, sometime when i open up a flash site, i get a little grey square with a green arrow before the flash loads. i believe that's a setting thing so that i can choose to run the flash. how do i get rid of that so that it does it automatically?
i'm running this flash player apk
Adobe Flash Player 10.1.120.1-fixed.apk
Not sure if it's fixable (or you even want it to be fixable). It's basically telling you that it's ready to run, but doesn't actually load.
I've seen this on sites like cnn, where the video and ads are both using Flash. I actually prefer this, so that way I don't have to auto-load Flash ads. But I don't know how to turn it off.
hey roebeet, thanks for the reply. i really like the vegan beta 3. thanks for providing that to us. also, was the sd card delete fixed on beta 4 already or is it still doing that. that's probably the only reason i have not installed that.
also, how do i get the new market to show up with this beta 3 or do i need to change to beta 4 for that?

If you are using the default vegan browser, just go to more, setting, enable plugins and set it to always. Actually, I like to set IP on demand since it is faster to load some pages. I also, use dolphin browser and I set it to always, so when I watch NFL, YouTube, hulu, I,will, use dolphin instead.

Yep. That did the trick. Now if I could only figure out how to get my market to update to new one.
Couldn't quite figure out which version of TNT lite would serve my purpose or what exactly they included. Watched tons of Youtube videos on the various ROM flashings, and, the after results in action. This site has a wealth of information and I sincerely thank the developers. Someone should do a thorough comparison of what you get in each ROM. Some have details and others don't, just a summary.
Started with TNT 2.2 as recommended. Followed the instructions verbatim. Took sometime and had to search around for the various pieces of much needed software.
Z4Root
ClockworkMod
ROM Manager
Titannium Backup
I rooted the device with Z4Root then installed ClockworkMod, Titanium Backup and ROM Manager. Did my backup in Titanium Backup, turned off my system and booted to ClockworkMod, but not before checking first, it installed correctly. Performed a backup, unmounted the system and data, moved on to installing from the SD zip. TNT 2.2 worked fine. The browser was stripped down in both the 2.2 and 2.4 versions and the calendar was awful. On the upside Youtube worked much better and it was zippy. I could also get streaming radio in from Winamp. Shoutcast worked flawlessly.
Because of the crappy stripped down browser which no longer let me save bookmarks to my desktop I moved on to TNT 4.1.
What worked in 2.2 & 2.4 without issue:
Android Market (scaled down version)
Adobe Flash 10.1
Adobe Reader
Android System Info
Andromax
Antivirus
Auto Killer
Bluetooth File Transfer
Camera
Cleanoid
Contacts
Desktop Labels
Dictionary
Documents to Go
EasyShare
Facebook
Gallery (a much crappier version of the original)
Gmail
Google Maps
Launchpro (with 7 homescreens running in a rotating cube, flawlessly with labels)
Navigation
Photoshop Mobile
ROM Manager
Task List
The Weather Channel (the weather feature was removed from the ROM)
Titanium Backup
TouchRecalibration (the browser was slower and the scrolling was laborious)
tv.com (worked extremely well)
Twitter
Wikidroid
Winamp
Yellowbook (not yellow pages but both work, but yellowbook is awesome giving you a street view of what you are searching for).
The browser and scrolling lag is highly noticeable in both these versions making using the internet and awful experience. The crappy calendar, contact and gallery was a serious let down from the installed stockware. Next 4.1...
I dont understand why you wouldnt just get the latest one?
Was not prepared to deal with troubleshooting a possible endless dataloop and use at your own risk means just that. I watched tons off youtube video and one guy had tried quite a few. Just because it is most current doesn't necessarily means most stable. How is it running? And, are you experiencing any problems and if so what kind?
What's on there? Be specific. Help us out.
Ive had the latest version (whever it came out ) as my primary for about a month now.
No problems apart from the usual apps that dont work properly on tegra/tablets.
Im not on it currently, testing Adam rom...and not liking it as its very slow.
I noticed you mention Winamp and Shoutcast working flawlessly on the GTab. I've been having major issues with various streaming apps on my GTab.
Is this a common issue. I had shoutcast issues on every ROM I can recall trying.
Is there a fix for this, I searched around, but couldn't find anything except this thread, which barely mentions it.
Here are some that I am having issues with.
- Winamp (Shoutcast streaming only)
- Listen (Can't stream episodes, but can download them then listen)
- Tiny Cam Monitor (Can't view my network camera, which works perfectly on my wifi with my HTC Desire)
Any ideas would be helpful.
Thanks.
i just flashed the latest TNT lite right onto my Gtablet with no problems.
My order went like this:
open box
charge gtablet
flash tnt lite 4.4
switch to CW recovery
install kernel
?????
profit

Hmmm, So you are able to do the streams I mentioned?
I just checked the About Tablet in Settings and this is the kernel mine shows:
2.6.32.9-00001-g6e47897-dirty
[email protected] #221
When I did the install I didn't do anything special to install the kernel, I just went with whatever loading the Rom with ClockworkMod. I did do a lot of rom's though, basically loading on all the major .zips I could find on here. Do you have to do anything special to install the kernel?
I assume it wouldn't matter that I am in Canada.

i run pandora and youtube just fine and they stream media. Also hulu.com works
i started with clemsyn 9, but then switched to pershoots OC kernel, but it still needs some fine tuning imo so i've went back to clemsyn 9. I'm about to try his new 10 OC kernel
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=895825
to install it just flash with clockwork mod and clear cache and dalvik cache.

That's the weird thing, I should have mentioned that I do have some apps that do work that stream.
These seem to work:
- Youtube (I noticed you mentioned it, and it works perfectly on mine also)
- Twit.tv by mediafly (This also works perfectly for streaming video)
- Revision3 (I haven't had any issues streaming video on this either)
Shoutcast and Tiny Cam Monitor are really frustrating, as I use them a lot, Listen is another one that I would get a lot of use out of if the streaming worked in it.
I can't test Pandora or Hulu as they are completely blocked up here in Canada.
I may have to try those kernels, I'm really trying to figure out if anybody else is having the same issues as me in with Shoutcast (in Winamp), Tiny Cam, and Listen.
I may give one of those kernels a try, I'll probably start with clemsyn 9 if I do any. I just want my tab to be as stable as possible, and still have hardware video decoding working (which sound like there are a lot of issues in Gingerbread still).
Thanks.
I'd stay away from gingerbread if video is important to you. Until Nvidia release official GB drivers video isn't gonna be perfect on GB roms.
I haven't tried winamp. But I really haven't had any issues with any apps not working. I'd suggest making the switch to TNT 4.4 and then installing that kernel.
@davidukfl - how did you OC the Gtab in TnT Lite 4.4.0?

I am having the same issue. I use winamp alot as well, but am experiencing problems with any streaming audio, except pandora and youtube. I installed TnTLite 4.4.0 directly without going thru CW mod as Roebeet stated that it was best not to do that. Rom loaded smoothly, and all works well, except for this issue with streaming audio.
switched to vegan-tab btw. A million times better than tnt-lite. Much faster and much more stable
A follow up to my post.... for those wanting to access shoutcast streams but couldn't, I just installed an app called "a online radio" from the market and thru it I am able to access the shoutcast streams. Yay!
http://www.engadget.com/2011/05/12/netflix-releases-android-app-for-select-htc-phones-samsung-nexu/
And it works!
Edit: My current setup is a AMOLD dinc, running CM7 with 2.3.3. 16GB msd in to.
Download from market:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.netflix.mediaclient
Netflix is apparently blocking unsupported devices when you try to login, I uploaded the apk to my xoom to test it and it did not let me login.
I have the app and have not yet been able to get it to load. I just get a black screen.
However, I noted that the details on the market page state it is official for the Incredible running 2.2, and I'm running CM7.
Has anyone else tried with CM7?
Assuming there are indeed compatibility issues, I'm hopeful the devs will find a way to make it work, because I'm not looking forward to going back to stock, but I need Netflix.
(Actually. Right now, I'm thinking about loading up one of the dual-boot options with some stock Froyo. This is worth the effort.)
Edit: The dual-boot option is awesome and all... But then, I tried again in CM7, and I found that I spent a few hours heavily tweaking my phone for nothing but the thrill; the app works, and I was watching Ong Bak 3 in seconds. Since I don't need a Sense rom, I undid the dual-boot configuration.
So. Works on CM7.
Just saw this. Not showing up for me in the market. I assume its a CM7 thing.
Maybe we can find locate an apk.
Sent from my DInc
Just installed! Going to test now! Biggest app missing since switching from iPhone 4!
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Here's a market link.

no it works. i had to scroll down in the market a bit to find it. i was able to watch a movie also
apk please!
Can someone pull the apk please? I know it probably won't work, but I can't wait to try running it on my DX and Xoom!
Installed from the market, but all I get is a black screen for a long time, then an FC...
CM 7.0.3
Just tested and it does stream on CM7.
Works fine for me as well.
CM7.0.3
running CM 7.0.2.1 DINC, and program will shut off right after I try to log in
If somebody could post the APK, Thunderbolt folks would be grateful. I know it is blocking unsupported devices, but our devs want to take a crack at it. Thanks!
I am on CM Nightlies and it doesn't work. Considering a move to 7.0.0.3 just for netflix.
Works for me on CM and my DInc
Here's the apk
Working on my DX!!!
I'm streaming Law and Order right now!
Greatest.
Day.
Ever.
(until it stops working again like last time hopefully not)
Xoom trial coming soon.....!!

Im getting the exact same thing on latest CM7 nightly
Running stock (rooted) 2.2 and mine force closes immediately after trying to launch the app. Somebody mentioned something about Flash 10.3 so I updated and still get force close. Any ideas?
Not sure if this info helps, but it works fine on mine:
CyanogenMod-7-04172011-NIGHTLY-Inc
[email protected] #1
Sorry, I'm not sure how that converts to the actual nightly number, but its what I was able to gleen out of the Rom Manager.
Recently upgraded my DINC to ICS using Abduction v1.81 and I'm having a problem with Chrome Beta. When I launch it initially everything seems fine, it asks for log-in info which is provided and then shows the tab and search icons. When actually entering a web address, though, the entire page is blank. It would seem that it is going to the address but nothing ever shows, regardless of what website is chosen.
I have searched the Abduction forum to no avail, no one else seems to be having this problem after the AOKP Build 26 update, or at least hasn't spoken of it. Possibly an HWA problem?
HTC Incredible
Abduction ICS v1.81
V6 SuperCharger (tried Chrome before/after running scripts...same issue)
Holo-mod
No other mods to speak of really. Any ideas would be appreciated.
chrome beta
i have had the same problem on my nexus s 4g running 4.0.4 and it would only open up and it would be blank and foreclose shortly after i noticed that it is a rom problem because i just flashed a new rom and chrome has been working great maybe do a back up and try a new rom see if that helps!
Just upgraded to ics last night from stock rooted gb though kies. Have not rerooted yet.
The first thing i noticed was i lost flash player support on a streaming page i go to a lot. So i updated the Adobe flash and it loaded up in the webpage but after a few seconds of skipping sound and video it freezes.
I've tried another browser chrome which didn't load. Made sure it wasn't internet connection speed by using both wifi and LTE.
Anyone know if there's anything to try or a fix? I know adobe stopped supporting it or something so maybe it's not compatible with newer android firmware?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk
I know that adobe support for flash on chrome will no longer work at all and android support in general is over. but i've heard that guys are still able to load their tibu backups of flash and get them to work in dolphin, so maybe try that. i don't have any flash problems yet, but im running skyics by seanz
Wow i just tried dolphin and it worked smooth as butter! Thanks! Guess the browser just sux lol.
Side question though, I've never flashed roms, only rooted phones and i read about people flashing so often. Do your apps or settings etc. Transfer over or do you start fresh every time and have to set it all up?
I am thinking one day i might try that but if i don't like it i don't wanna go back and have to have a complete do over.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk
Usually you have to do a full wipe, which means losing all your apps. But, it shouldn't matter if you have Titanium back up. And most launchers have back up settings, so there wouldn't be too many things you would have to re-setup. Just remember your Gmail pw( which none of my friends do when I help them flash a rom >.<)
