Hi guys, hope someone can help. Does anyone know if there is HTC style Browser (I.e where it renders the text into one column) rather than keep having to move a full web page around like other devices that I can use? I always use htc's because of this but the thought of not having this in other devices is driving me mental, anyone have any ideas?

Dolphin Browser HD - https://market.android.com/details?id=mobi.mgeek.TunnyBrowser
Opera Mobile - https://market.android.com/details?id=com.opera.browser
Firefox - https://market.android.com/details?id=org.mozilla.firefox
Chrome Beta for ICS - https://market.android.com/details?id=com.android.chrome
Boat Browser - https://market.android.com/details?id=com.boatbrowser.free
All excellent browsers and much better than the default HTC one. Turn on 'text reflow' or 'reformat text on zoom' in settings to get the single column rendering.
Click thanks if I've helped you.
UC Browser works good and faster......
opera is smoother
Thanks for replying finally I found another good browser that can do what I want, many thanks!

Cheers dude.

I was looking around to find something to improve the stock browser on CM7. It is really laggy for some reasons.
I found a solution in the Desire Z area. Download this patch and flash it in Recovery.
Here is a video of the patch in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2DZnie3u0YI
Now the browser is smooth as butter, it is comparable to Opera smoothness. I think this is the best we can get for the moment.
Enjoy !
Credits to KnekKeR for the tip.
Wow thanks dude!
I know miui is already pretty damn smooth but would this work because I believe miui is cm7 based. Would be interesting to see what it does

Does it work on MIUI?
Latest MIUI has this feature built-in as far as I know. But you could try and report.

Good find.
But opera is better than stock anyway and can sync bookmarks to desktop.
And I know dolphin wins most android browser reviews.
How come u stick with stock browser?

Yeah, opera us better
I use the stock for quick browsing, fir example when I just want to quickly check something , it loads much faster ar the start up than opera.
But opera is better for all rounded browsing

For me nothing compares to stock browser. It loads pages faster, it's more intuitive than many other browsers and I got used to it. With this patch it's perfect... well almost. I only miss the pinch to switch through pages like stock sense browser.
And why do you choose that one?
Chrome because its fast.

Chrome beta now. No flash is kind of a drag and there's purple artifacting, but it's super smooth.
i have used maxthon, opera mini, ucweb, dolphin hd, and stock browser.
now i use maxthon.
i think opera mini is the fastest browser i have used. but maxthon is more comfortable and convenient. dophin hd is wonderful, too.
many people in china use UCweb, but i think uc sucks.
i am going to download chrome, although it is a beta version. it's my favorite browser on pc!
Dolphin HD , its kinda like chrome but with flash support

Not Google's fault. Adobe said they won't be supporting Android going forward.
http://blogs.adobe.com/flashplayer/2012/02/flash-chrome-for-android-beta.html?PID=4003003
Opera mobile : around 65% less data.
Pretty, stable & fast.
What else?
Maxthon - small, fast, flash support use hosts file to block ads
Dolphin - adblock sometime doesnt work.
Firefox - sometimes loading so slow but good adblock plugin.
I've used every browser users recommend it here for some reason I always end up using STOCK.

I usually stick to stock browser because I hate getting ask a thousand times "open with: " and checking the "preferred application ticker. Currently trying out Chrome though.

Chrome seems promising in it's beta stage. Will be nice to see what they do with it in the future though.
What internet browser do you use on your One X, and why? I used stock ICS for about two weeks, using Chrome beta now and enjoying it.
I tried to put a wide variety of browsers I found in the play store, choose other and please tell us what you use and why.
Thanks

I still use and prefer Chrome beta over the Firefox beta due to the interface. Chrome just "feels" right. But the latest Firefox renders pages stupid fast. Chrome's not bad, but I really wish it was that fast.

Chrome feels different than the desktop version obviously, but I really like how they did the tabs. That's one thing that annoying me coming form an iPhone was having to go to a menu to open my tabs instead of a single button on the screen.

You can also swipe at the edge of the screen to change tabs.... Anyway, my problem with chrome right now is that its a little too laggy for what I was used to on my galaxy s ii so until that gets fixed ill be using dolphin HD, which runs very smooth for the most part.
Stock..
- great battery life
- renders more sites correctly from my bookmarks 100% stock vs 95% chrome
- Labs feature

Hey guys,
Just want to share with you my current browser app, as it is the fastet of all (including chrome) this app was tested on www.chip.de and they say it's more fast than chrome, Firefox etc. After installation you have to install t5 engine, which gives you one more performance boost. In my opinion the fastes browser I have ever tried
Check it out:

It is indeed very fast, but i think is's to early for me since you can't edit the shortcuts and Categoreis on the frontpage.
But i looks very promising.

I feel it is a lot smoother and more stable.
Also syncs with my Google account.

I really wanted to like Chrome just because I use Chrome as my desktop browser and liked the idea of it all synching up perfectly.
That never really worked out. Chrome for Android is pretty slow, and very buggy, for me.
Switched to Dolphin and never looked back. Just a fantastic browser.
Hate the ICS sense browser, but I freaking love the jb sense browser

I'm sticking with Dolphin. Mainly because of the XMarks and LastPass integration.

Would it be possible to get the aosp browser for Sense roms? I tried to install it but it keeps crashing
I personally like Opera. Never been a big fan of stock browsers on Android or Apple devices. I dislike Chrome. Thought it stunk on computers but on the phone its dreadful. I was hoping Firefox would be useful as it's my favorite computer browser but again, fails on a phone.
Opera is very fast and simple. These are my opinions though.

Same here. LastPass integration was the critical feature for me. Otherwise I would be using ICS+. Chrome for Android is a big disappointment.

Currently using dolphin browsing over chrome :silly:
I have searched the forums but have not found an answer to the quick controls on the jb browser.
You know how you can set the quick controls trigger area on the quick ICS browser, I was wondering if there is a way to do the same on the jb browser. I have an otter box case and it makes it almost impossible to trigger quick controls without adjusting the trigger area.

aosp tabbed browser ftw. I just wish it would stop showing xda threads in faded grey and save my login info.
I use Chrome when I want to access my favorites or browser tabs on another device, otherwise I always use Dolphin.
It’s really depressing to me, because I love Chrome on the desktop. I don’t understand how a flagship product can be so bad
Dolphin for me.
Easiest to get to bookmarks with side swipe.
Every once in a while I go and try dolphin again, but I find the side swiping annoying, because I always end up activating it without meaning to
