Newbie..Love these ROMs, but many times can't change settings to 12 hour. (We Americans have a learning disorder with 24 hour clocks) Even regional settings for US often have 24 hour clocks and UK date styles only. Is it a registry issue? H E L P!!
look under settings/system/regional settings
Re read my thread. Particularly the following portion:
Even regional settings for US often have 24 hour clocks and UK date styles only.
settings/system/regional settings/time/time style/h:mm:ss tt
I must not be explaining correctly: All of that is frozen. I go to settings/system/regional settings and pull up English (United States). I hit the time tab, but lo and behold, the time style is grayed-out (no drop down choice), frozen in the 24 hour mode. (hh:mm:ss...)
Change your ROM or go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\nls\overrides (there will be nothing there probably, this is an area used for Overiding the ROMs default time settings)
Edit the following Values according to how you want your device time to be displayed
STime STRING ":" - This setting allows you to modify the separator between hours and minutes, minutes and seconds
STFmt STRING "h:mm:ss tt" - Changes the time layout or format (see below list)
S1159 STRING "am" - Allows you to modify the AM suffix
S2359 STRING "pm" - Allows you to modify the PM suffix
Time Format String
h - Hours 12 Hour Clock with No Leading Zero
hh - Hours 12 Hour Clock with Leading Zero
H - Hours 24 Hour Clock with No Leading Zero
HH - Hours 24 Hour Clock with Leading Zero
m - Minutes with No Leading Zero
mm - Minutes with Leading Zero
s - Seconds with No Leading Zero
Ss - Seconds with Leading Zero
t - am/PM indicator - First Letter Only
tt - am/PM indicator - First Two Letters
ttt - am/PM indicator - First Three Letters
Many, many thanks, mate

Uhhh, any Americans that served their country have NO issue with 24hr, GMT, or with the metric system. (You gotta know what round fits what chamber & in the dark, especially if you are L.I.D.)

Thanks GSLEON3! I definitely don't have any issues with the 24hr clock....
UK Clock
I seem to be the only the person who had this problem the opposite way to everyone else. Been searching the threads and Googling for weeks in case someone else had the same problem but nothing. Then I stumble on the FAQ and find the answer I've been looking for. Such a minor thing really.
I'm using Dutty's latest ROM and I'm stuck with it because it's the quickest and most stable I've come across, and it helps that it comes with all the apps and tweaks I love and would spend hours configuring anyway.
My problem was (that no one else seems to be bothered about) is that Dutty's clock by default is in 12 hour format. Working at a railway station where we speak everything in 24 hour kinda gets you stuck on it.
All had to do was navigate to HKLM>nls>overrides and change the "h:mm:ss tt" to "HH:mm:ss". The amout of time I spent trawling through the registry...I must have brushed past this 100 times.
Thanks.

You know, you guys could try selecting something else besides English (United States) as the region, to see which one unlocks the time-style then.
Switching back to your preferred region afterwards doesn't change what you've already selected (since it's already saved in the registry) unless the region explicitly doesn't allow that style.
I like my Japanese-style calendar where Mon - Fri are all succinct one-character kanji.
Besides, it's easy to convert from 24H to 12H, just subtract 2.
where is this Hkey_local_machine/nls/overrides located at? I'm having the same trouble with the military time on my phone. I have a t-mobile wing phone with an update windows mobile 6.1 rom. Please help
Is there any possible way to schedule a recurring event within a limited time frame?
Let's say I have class every Monday/Wednesday from August 20th till December 6th.
Is it possible to set a repeat event that will stop repeating after December 6th? If I schedule a weekly event, it seems to schedule it forever.
I integrated google anaylitics into my android game 5 days ago and published. Yesterday, I noticed that many sessions'(almost half of all sessions) duration is 00:00:00. Rest of sessions seems normal, no problem. My game has just 1 activity, it uses swipe tabs.
What is the main reason? How to solve?
Hi,
I use the ACALENDAR app on my Moto G5 Plus and even though the phone is using the new daylight savings time zone the calendar still displays the events in a different time zone...so all my reminders are starting one hour before. The phone Home Time Zone is set to (GMT-2:00) Brasilia (I live in Rio de Janeiro...but there isn't a time zone for Rio). In ACALENDAR I went to advanced setting, then I selected USE HOME TIME ZONE and set Brasilia - ParĂ¡ (but here it is displayed as GMT-3...even though the actual time is shown correctly).
Hello,
Any heads up on how to get UTC time on my world clock options? I regularly travel to different time zones so like the standard multiple time zone face. When I'm traveling everything is done in UTC. I'm wanting to display UTC along with local time where I am, where I'm next traveling too and local time at home. (so I know when to call the kids before bed). The standard world clock doesn't seem to have this option. Other watch faces which show UTC don't seem to have the option of changing the local time in different cities. Ideally I'm looking for four time zones on the one face..........
Cheers
