Hi,
Just wondering how to push an .apk to my Inspire? If you give instructions, please be as detailed as possible, cause I've never done this before
Basically, I want to take the htccamera.apk from a previous version of the rom i'm using and use it on the current version. Is pushing the .apk even what I want to do haha? It's all for HDR and Panorama.
Thanks very much!

Android Control - click and read this thread. This Tool does many things and pushing files to your phone is one of them.
Basically, open tool>browse to file you want to push>click it
then type in path of where you want .apk pushed. Should be same path you pulled it from on the previous ROM.

Oh snap, there's a program for this? Thanks!
there is also a guide which is stickied...
I saw it, but I wasn't sure if it was the same for all devices. Didn't see one specific to the Inspire.
...............
Here is the title of the stickied guide...
[GUIDE]Inspire 4G, Rooting, Flashing, Softbrick, Fixes, Sideloading.(4-23)
Which is at the top of the inspire 4g general thread.

So I the tittle says it all i am getting my xoom today from work it will be a wifi only 32 gig US version of the zoom. My biggest questions are what is the best guide for rooting and flashing recovery i found these two: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=22276224#post22276224, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074979 which one of those is best for my device and also is there another i should be using???( provide link if possible ) Also what is your favorite ROM i pretty much know what ones i want to try also whats your favorite kernel?? And anything else i should know about the devise i am looking forward to joining the xoom xda community,
That guide to rooting should do the trick for you. The hardest part is setting up ADB and fast boot, but really that isn't very difficult. Just make sure to type things correctly when using the command prompt! Haha. Also, that recovery by Solarnz works just fine, but I use the Team Rogue recovery. And I don't know if you've figured it out on your own, but no ROM for the Xoom is worth flashing unless it's ICS. But! you did say it was a work Xoom, and I don't know how much "legal" freedom you're going to be allowed.
Team EOS ROM v 1 and Steady Hawkins CM9 Kang both ran great on my Xoom (4G). You getting to the Xoom party just as its getting good. Honeycomb vs. ICS is a night and day difference.

Fastboot and the like are pretty easy/simple to use after a while, especially if you're familiar with the command line/prompt.
Basically the procedure is:
1. Unlock Device
2. Root and install recovery (I like to do this from fastboot as well)
3. Flash ROM then GApps
4. Reconfigure home screens and accounts for the eleventy billionth time.
5.?????
6. Profit! (sorry. I had to)

I don't think there is a single guide that encompasses all that, but that rooting guide you found is a good start. Each sub part should have install instructions in the OP of each respective thread.

Hello everybody!
Recently saw an article talking about the update CyanogenMod Android for new devices. It is from 7.2 RC1 and also provides support to the device Lg Optimus 3D.
I have the version of this device P920h Brazilian, and I would enter this room on my machine without the risc of damage it or lose some functionality.
What you tell me about the update? Runs cool? worth it? is there any tutorial on how to give nothing wrong?
I also read on other forums that the 3D functionality is lost if upgrade to CyanogenMod. Could you confirm this news?
In CyanogenMod site has links to download all the room, already downloaded mine and am afraid to do some erroneous procedure without first consulting a specific tutorial.
I wait anxiously for hints on how to perform this installation without risk of brick the device!
Thanks guys!
Yes. 3D is lost with CyanogenMod.

hi
yesterday i used this rom and watched a 3D clip on it without
any problem!!
but i didnt test 3d games ! might 3d games doesnt run on it !
Well, 3D is not completely gone. You can take 3D pictures, but unfortunately you can't view them in 3D yet.
You can watch 3D videos and I think you can record them to (but not sure about it)
3D games and apps are not working and probably never will. They use LGs proprietary Real3D framework. As long as LG keeps that closed it can't be ported to other ROMs...
You can take 3D pictures with CM7.

It was all the information he needed.
Now the main one: How to upgrade to the CyanogenMod?
Anyone has tutorial on how to flash with this new Room?
Altair95, this room you have customized on your device?
What are your thoughts about it?
Thanks again guys!
Hey!!!
zwoggel as you did the update?
Please create a tutorial as it did!
I'm looking forward to flashing my phone too!
Download CM7.2 and Gapps, transfer to internal sd card, boot to cwm, wipe data/factory reset and wipe dalvik cache (backup apps using Titanium Backup), flash both CM7.2 and Gapps. How hard could it be?

Take a look at this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1540163
If your phone isn't rooted take a look at point 3. on how to root.
After rooting you should install the Custom Recovery described in step 1
You can skip step 2, that is for installing official firmware.
After rooting and installing the recovery you can proceed like pandaball described.
Few questions
Hey all,
Just a few questions for people who have tried this.. do we know if this will work with the p925g? (Optimus 3D with rogers Canada) Also curious if a couple of critical bugs from the early builds are gone, namely the issue where if you format your SD card you get bricked, and HDMI support? If no one knows the answers to these questions, can you possibly suggest a better source where I might find them? Thanks!
Guys, quick question. When you find bugs in 7.2rc1 do you report them using the official CM bug tracker? I'm asking because I saw a lot of people complaining but there is not a single issue reported for RC1 and P920...

Confused
Sorry pandaball but it was unclear!
Could ride a mini tutorial?
My English is not very good and I use the Google translator!
There is a more practical way for this procedure?
What is your consideration of this room for your device? You use it?
If not which suggests to me? Really worth using it?
Please advise me to make the right choice so that I do not regret later!
Thanks!

Let me rephrase what I said because I'm reading it now and I can see why it came across like that.
The tutorial is ok and it shows a couple in depth stuff but it doesn't fully cover everything, not the little things I've had to go around xda to find to make my build work.
Simply put it not a full tutorial but it comes close.

Does this really helped anyone??
I just wanna know because i own a non famous android phone which has very less roms and mods so i just wanna use this method to compile
ROMs for my phone from sources like cm repos.
i used to make pots roms for the lg p500, i tried to make one for my atrix 2 and nothing, i asked to some developers of atrix 2 (very famous by the way) and i tell them how i make those ports and they tell me that it was other metod for our atrix 2, and NEVER TELL ME WHAT WAS THAT METOD, I ASK LIKE 3 MORE TIMES AND NEVER GET AN ANSWER. It was depressing :crying::crying::crying:
Hi thanks for posting this tutorial and for your work. One thing would like to ask is if anyone no's of some more links or books as I would like to learn how to code and correct bugs and add features to ROMs or build my own. I would greatly appreciate any help thanks in advance.
Disclaimer: I am far from being a dev of any sort, so take this post with a large serving of information reading elsewhere. I am not responsible for anything that happens to you or your phone, good or bad.
**If this thread helped you, simply click the "thank you" button and leave a reply if you wish.**
I had a really hard time entering the rooting and ROMming scene when I first got the phone, but I am now relatively confident in my rooting and ROMming. One of the reasons I had a hard time at first was simply not knowing what anything was or meant. Even after a lot of reading, I still didn't feel like I knew what I was doing (I simply followed instructions and did things to my phone aimlessly). Nonetheless, everything I post here can likely be found in a sticky or in another thread, but probably in more technical terms; I simply want this thread to be informative to a new user.
With that being said, here are a few things to help the truly new-to-the-scene guys (and gals) here:
********************************************************************************************************************************************************************
Definitions:
Root: essentially gives you the ability to access every nook and cranny of your phone and customize lots of stuff.
ROM: kind of the like the operating system on computers; there are many different ones, but find the one suitable for your needs.
imunts: some really cool dude who developed some really cool stuff for our really cool phone; he's done much for us, so he gets his own line here
kernel: the link between your phones software and hardware; comparable to the nervous system of animals by relaying info between the mind and body
flash: basically like installing something on your computer; everything installed or flashed onto electronics has its dangers and risks (and benefits).
recovery: kind of like the "safe mode" on your PC. Incase SHTF, recoveries can be used to save your phone in most cases.
dwitherell: another cool dev who made a really cool ROM by the name of Tweaked
OTA: Over The Air; typically refers to the updates being pushed upon our phones wirelessly from the heavens... or wherever data comes from
Odin: a program used to flash things onto your phone by using your computer; I personally see this as your computer being the brain and your phone being a temporary zombie that takes commands.
CWM (ClockWorkMod Recovery): a custom recovery that must be flashed onto your phone to replace the stock recovery if you want to flash ROMs, backup or restore your phone.

To UNroot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mPocqv9qWyw
Tweaked 3.2: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1895049
Everything you need (all files and instructions) to go FROM BONE STOCK TO ROMMED WITH TWEAKED can be found within those three links above. Please take the time to read/search a bit before asking questions. It's likely been asked 654354 times before and it will even help you learn a lot in the process.

I have not developed anything for the phones, nor am I taking any credit for making the tutorials or providing the files associated with the above material.
I will update this as I have more time.
Again, if this helped you, just click the "thank you" button or leave a reply. Also, go and let the devs know how much you appreciate their work and time by visiting their threads and thanking them with a reply or something also. Otherwise, we may never get any advances to our software (like I dunno... ICS or something)
