There are Atrix 2 - MB865 and Atrix 2 - ME865 - Motorola Atrix 2

But what is the REAL difference between ME865 and MB865 except the model no.???
Anyone knows it?

Radio, Sound device, WIFI chipset, and a couple others. It is basically a different device, with "close enough" hardware. I would not try using things from one for the other though, because as others have found even the ME865 has 3 different versions, with some small differences in hardware, and have flashed fxz files for the wrong version and been very unhappy.

[Q] ICS Radios.. Which is working best for you?

Hey, I've been reading around the forums and it seems there are 3 main radio's to choose from. I plan on testing them all in depth. It seems results vary from phone to phone especially with the UCLC5 Modem (from the Note). I was wondering if other users would post their results I'm curious to how your phones are handling these modems and what your opinion on them are.
UCLA4 (from the original leak)- I started with this one. I felt like my speeds and signal didn't reflect what my bars indicated. It felt like it said I had more than what I had. I don't recall my speeds but I intend to test this radio more in depth tomorrow.
UCLC5 (modem from the Note)-The note radio is what I have been using since it was posted here. While my radio seems to show less bars I tend to get better signal. 2-4 megs down and 1-2 megs up on HSPA+. I have yet to have noticed anything strange with it.
UCLD2 (from the 2nd leak)-I haven't gotten to test this radio yet since I've had connectivity issues all day.
I think these are all the ICS modems. feel free to post any I missed.
essential I'm trying to get a general idea on the modem with the best speed.
Personally I think the new UCLD2 radio is much improved.

Newest leak is working the best for me so far. Signal looks weaker in the notification bar but my connection is much more solid than it used to be.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
I agree with shepherd the latest leak works the best.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
the best thing for everyone to do is to try them all yourself. I think everyone's phone reacts the the modems differently. A modem that kicks ass for me may suck ballz for you. Also once I flash a radio I always use it for a day or two before making any judgements as to whether its an improvement or not.
Edit: forgot to mention that my decive picks up wifi signal better as well. Not sure if that's even a modem thing or something else Sammy changed in the latest ics leak but I sure do like it

I post this allover skyrocket forum, but i notice and some others too : if you on WiFi UCLA4 and UCLD2 radio seems to be in download mode all the time. I did not try UCLC5 from Note so i don't know if this one have same problem.
You should add another modem.
Blaze 4G modem. Its what I use and I like it. Have yet to try the new leak one.

Maybe it is good radio but do not connect to lte network on At&t
Using the UCLD 2 radio released with Sean's Sky ICS 4.2 rom. SO far so good. Not LTE coverage in my area but 4g speeds seem okay.

Ha, and I'm looking at now. I'm assuming many have moved on from Skyrocket (I unfortunately destroyed my HOX), but any update on radios for this device?

Calls only work through speaker phone

Got a weird problem here with my 1727r. Rooting is is basically the only thing I've done with it, no fancy roms or anything.
Here's the problem: People can only hear my talking to them when I put them on speakerphone. If i'm using the phone like a regular hand-held, they don't hear me. I even tested this myself, calling my home landline and leaving my skyrocket near some speakers. Nothing comes out the other end. Tried with speakerphone and it works.

Would really appreciate some help if anyone can offer some.

Well, generally there are ways of fixing things, this forum is full of details of tuning every little part of your phone and getting all the potential out of it. I was expecting it to be possible to fix, as that's what I usually do when my items break, but it seems you're intent on being useless. So I'll just award you full marks for that and try to get help elsewhere.
It seems like a hardware problem that software tweaks don't fix. Good luck with it man

I've seen this reported across different phones
I had this happen with my Atrix and have seen reports from across the android products. It almost has to be a software glitch that allows it to get 'stuck'. Do you get music through your headphone jack?

Remove/change Verizon Wireless brand from notification pull down?

I have seen, for the Nexus for example, a way to remove/change the Verizon Wireless text next to the date in the notification pull down by pushing an edited spn-conf.xml to /system/etc.. but it did not work for the SGS3 it seems.
Anyone have another idea?
Taking it from your signature, it appears that you are already rooted. Since that is the case, it may be worthwhile flashing a custom ROM. You can take roms that are based off of the Stock TouchWiz firmware that came with the phone, such as SynergyROM or Bean's Custom Stock, to name a couple. If memory serves me correctly, those roms get rid of the carrier label. Then there are AOSP based roms, such as Cyanogenmod or AOKP. In AOKP, there is an option to change the carrier label, but you can only do it once.
Thanks.. but ROMS are not my thing, I like to do small custom tweaks, mods, hacks like this. I am sure it can be done outside of a full ROM, like the Nexus and many other phones can, it is just a matter of finding the right hack to do it. Heck, I know there is an app you can pay for that will do this, but there must be a manual hack.

no can find. was removed from market and all links references I find in Google are old. even ones here are DOA. App was last updated well over a year ago.
I'm not sure if it's compatible with the S III, but look into the carrier name change app by conap (xda dev). I think the actual apk was called ccname or something. You just type in what you want in place of the carrier label and it'll cycle through airplane mode and voila.
I used it for my Droid Eris without any problems. I see no reason why it wouldn't work for the S III.

Which is more important in the next update

I've been waiting for an official OTA JB update for a while.
While I'm sure there are nifty bells or whistles with JB the only thing I care about is a better radio. If JB offered more accurate/reliable voice dial I'd probably put a hacked version of JB on my phone as that is about the only thing I can think of that Android doesn't do well enough for me. VLINGO seems to be very accurate for voice dial in comparison.
Jelly Bean works fine. I take it you are still on ICS? Google Now works great for voice dialing. Has about a 99% success rate for me.
As soon as I bought my GS3 I unlocked & installed the JB leak, & now CleanROM. But I came from a G.Nexus, so I was already spoiled on JB.

Thanks - seems strange Verizon and Samsung haven't made this a bigger priority. This phone has been out a while. Never did get a fix for the Samsung Nexus before I gave up on that phone.
I'm curious what the other was that some people wanted most out of the next update.

what people want most is for the update to come but if you want the update its in the android development section and all of them are good.....
I installed my first aosp Rom last night so now I want the update to come out so the source code release can help the data reception and other issues with the aosp roms and custom kernels.

RAM Help

Can you guys help me? I think my Walkman Z's broken. I went into the running applications menu and checked how much RAM is being used. The Z's supposed to have 1GB of RAM. It showed up as 97MB used and 247MB free. This doesn't add up to 1GB and it's worrying me, I know that the system uses some RAM but 700MB? That doesn't seem right.
Thanks!
I have no idea if something is wrong with your phone.
But.. you can always try to do a factory reset. It´s a good start and then check if there is an update to your phone.
Dont forget to back up your stuff.

I`ve already tried all of those methods. I`m just going to take it to the Sony Store. Hopefully this is covered by warranty.
Ok. I hope it will work out for you.
Let us know whats happens after that
Is strange the ram from 1gb to 97 +250 please let us know what happen.. I think is just one idea if the phone has 2 ram modules of 512 each one of those could fail? And the other one is there.. Is just one idea:banghead:

The ROM wouldn't boot if the RAM was Brocken haha stuff just doesn't break in a phone none of them ram meters is right the only real ones are the ones like in v6 supercharger

I think one of the modules is in fact broken. When using this app it only detects 512MB of RAM. I tested it on my Galaxy Tab and it shows 1GB so the app seems to be accurate.

But ohhoho a phone isnt a PC it doesn't have a bios that would recognise the ram first of all or that its even gone. All the parts on the phone work in harmoney and when something internal breaks the whole phone does. And the ram is built into the motherboard so that would mean you have a broke motherboard. Do you really think the phone will function then? Please try to use a little sense lol.

I'm actually using some sense. Ram chips do go bad. If there's disk 512mb chips n one went bad then he wouldn't have 1gb ram. They go bad for many different reasons thus not affecting the motherboard. The only problem is you can't swap out ram like you can with a PC.
You say a cell phone ain't a PC but android is a form of Linux. Linux doesn't need a bios to work. Allot of devices out there run a form of Linux without a bios. Wi-Fi routers, cable boxes, ps3, blu-ray players, Nintendo Wii , etc etc.......
I've had devices where the ram has gone bad n they still worked. Just not at a 100%. I'm speaking for experience n knowledge. I'm a developer for android. I work with the ROM n kernel source code. All the devices I have worked on I haven't seen no fail safe in the android source code that will prevent the phone from booting. I have seen the code that loops at the ram n reports the ram found.
