Your English was just fine. I read a lot about the og ATRIX but never got one. Instead I stuck to a nexus s. Anyway I can't say much for the og ATRIX but I can tell you that the ATRIX 2 is a GREAT device. I would choose the ATRIX 2 simply for the ram and the new processor. Plus being new it will probably see ice cream in the near future. The original ATRIX will only see ported versions while eventually we will probably have the real deal.
That being said development is starting to kick off around here. We have recovery (not at boot just yet) and a way of flashing back to stock incase you brick your phone. We also have a custom rom and I believe there will be more soon. Things are getting really fun around here. Also any question I have had has been answered either in forum or pm. Everyone is really nice about it so the ATRIX 2 forum is a good place to be. Need anything else from me just pm. Ill do my best to answer any more questions you may have. Anyway welcome!

The Atrix 2 is a wonderful device. I've simply fallen in love with the thing. Very fast , have not had any problems yet.

At&t:-/ is my service provider and i have the samsung captivate, its a good phone but i have a upgrade available. i have been looking at upgrading to a Samsung infuse 4g. i have been reading review after review and it looks very promising. But i have afew questions i was hoping you great ppl at XDA can answer!
Does the infuse have a 1.2GHz Hummingbird processors or a 1.2GHz dual core, ARM Cortex A9 processor?
is the samsung infuse 4g the galaxy s 2? (the of the captivate?), and if its not is it possible At&t will gain rights to the galaxy s 2?
would it be wise to wait and see?
lol thanks for your time i would like to hear any advice you have 2 offer thanks!

Hey!
The Infuse isn't the SGS2. AT&T are getting the Galaxy S 2, although I'm not sure when. The UK version of the SGS2 will work on AT&T I believe.
if you like a big screen, you'll like the Infuse. It's a good, capable handset, and shares the camera with the SGS2 (it's very good). It has a single core 1.2GHz Hummingbird inside, but try not to get caught up with the number of cores yet, as it's not completely important.
It's a big handset, but not quite uncomfortably big. If you like bright, contrasty colours you'll enjoy the Infuse a lot. While I had it I found it very enjoyable, I'm just not a big fan of Samsung's devices.
Would love to hear what you decide to do, keep me posted!
Good luck!
No forum for the Atrix 2 on xda? There's already one for the razor and its not even out yet. The A2 is a great phone. Why no love?

perhaps because the atrix was so bad they're denying that there was ever a sequel... Kinda like they should've done with the grudge.
no idea
people were all over the original atrix, even though it used that terrible pentile display(to each his own). i have used the atrix 2 and it is awesome, beter lcd screen, better specs, better look, and only 100 dollars?. there will be a forum soon enough

I'm sure there will, I was just kidding. The atrix just had a plethora of software issues.
The atrix 2 seems like a waste to me. Why do you want an "updated" atrix that has the same stats as the original and less memory? Seems like a rip-off to me.

Water of time? Don't see how. Internal storage being reduced doesn't seem like a deal breaker to me. Great display, omap processor, good camera, and great battery life. And for only 99.99? Can't go wrong.

Atrix 2 real world speed is a Big + than the OG Atrix. My friend has the og atrix and i hate that thing! Finger scanner dont work, its slooooooow, i mean he done reset, root and flashed a rom, every kind of nick and nack and the phone is still slow! I got a g2x and it dont even feel like the atrix has tegra 2 processors! I know the g2x is vanilla, but STILL. Im going to att, after my month is up with T-Horrible, and its either the atrix 2 or the SGS2? But right now the a2 looking like a winner!
The Atrix 2 is a good phone. The screen alone is worthy of an upgraded model. I lost my Atrix 1 and bought an Atrix 2, it's a superior phone, but almost no development is happening right now because xda won't open a forum.
be sure to vote for atrix 2 forum here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1301121

Please elaborate
I've had my Atrix 2 for a week now, got mine from Best Buy for $49.99 w/2yr contract. Also picked up an Atrix 4g for my son for $29.99 last night. Here are my thoughts
I have played with all the Android phones AT&T carries other than the SGSII which they didn't have in my local store and the Atrix 2 is superior to any of them. The phone is very fast and snappy and has no lag at all, even when running multiple apps simultaneously. The screen being as large as it is, 4.3", doesn't make the phone itself overly large or feeling as if you're holding a brick. The device is comfortable to hold, feels well made and looks very classy with the beveled Gorilla glass screen and black chrome looking trim around the topside outer edge of the phone.
The hardware stacks up well against other high end Android phones with it's 1GHz dual core TI OMAP 4430 CPU and PowerVR SGX 540 GPU, 1GB RAM, 8mp rear camera that records in 1080p, 1.3mp front camera, 4.3" qHD display sporting 540 X 960 resolution. I'm coming from a decent Android device, the SE X10 which I rooted, debranded and was running Wolfbreaks Xperia GB rom v6.0....there still isn't a root available for my phone yet and there is very little that my X10 could do that my A2 can't. I've already gotten rid of the bloatware, changed the launcher, changed the lockscreen, installed custom icons for things like dialer, camera, browser, etc., and can take screenshots too. Hard to imagine this phone can get any better than what it already is......until we get ICS at least
We now have root!

I'm a relatively new android user, just got this new Atrix 2 (MB865) phone.
Ive been researching roots and roms for the device, and have not found a whole lot for it.
I have however found lots of support for the Atrix 4G (MB860), specifically a nightly cyanogen mod (7.2). I am wondering, since there is a stable cwm recovery utility would it be possible to apply the 4G image to the atrix 2?
Thought, concerns?
They are two completely different phones. MB860 is original ATRIX. MB865 is ATRIX 2
Motarolla's site lists the MB860 as the Atrix 4G, which looks identical to the Atrix 2G (MB865).
They are listed as having different processors, NVIDIA Tegra 2 AP20H vs TI OMAP4430. But otherwise very similar in almost every respect.
Atrix 2 have 8MP camera, 8GB storeage, 4.3" display(non-pentile)
We have the Atrix 2. Not 2g. There is no such thing.
And our phone doesn't even look exactly the same if you're paying attention. Screen is .3" bigger, camera has 3 more megapixels, display is non-pentile and looks much better, and most important, we have a different processor. The Atrix 4G boot unlocker will not work on our phones. Atrix 4G roms will not work on our phones. But hold on tight because it's coming. The OG Atrix guys had to wait a while, too.

2G = 2nd generation.
The Droid Bionic is more like the Atrix 2 than the OG Atrix is.
Hey guys, I'm brand new to XDA but am a long time frequent user of the forums. I am currently using the HTC Thunderbolt (great phone). I am looking to upgrade in December and I am trying to determine if I should get the GSIII or wait until q1 of 2013 and get a quadcore device. I know the GSIII is amazing in terms of hardware and receives plenty of support from dev regarding rooting and custom roms but I'm not sure which to do. So as the title says, if you were in my shoes, would you buy the GSIII or wait for a Quad Core device?
you never know what will come out in this last part of the year. Some quad core lte device might come out before December.

Yeah, I'm was just thinking it would be safer to go with a solid dual core rather than a first gen quad core. My problem is i'm impatient and I want a new phone now lol

If you could wait, you should since quad core is a new beginning of another high tech level. Also I believe you're going to see some quad core devices will be out before year end like the Galaxy Note 2...
There's always something better around the corner.
I'd call Verizon and see if they would push up your upgrade. They often will. Failing that, wait it out until a decent quad core is released.
"The next big thing is already here" - Galaxy S3.
In all seriousness, I probably would have waited for the Note 2, but due to Verizon's upgrade policy, I had to get in on the pre-order to keep my unlimited data.
I just upgraded I was going to wait but i suck at waiting. I would wait if you have more patience than me but the Galaxy S3 is great I don't regret.

What phone are you coming from? Not sure how better the GSIII is than the Thunderbolt (overclocked at 1.5ghz with Liquid ICS v.1,5 MR3).

Makes Tbolt look like old feature phone.
The SIII is fast. I actually underclock it in order to further extend my battery just that little bit. Unless youre into CPU eating games I doubt there's much of a need for the quad-core considering the added time of waiting.
Dont get the s3. Youll regret it

The Galaxy S3 is a really solid phone (even the dual core variant). Very little difference with the international quad core variant speedwise.
I would wait for the Galaxy Note 2 (most likely with LTE and Quad Core support). Either that or the LG Optimus G (except it's made by LG......)
sent from my Redneck phone.
The 2 gigs of ram is far more beneficial than 4 cores. All my apps get left right where they were when I swapped apps. Including games. And it's snappy. So with snappy being equal on most high end models, take the 2 gigs of ram in the s3 and run with it! It's not something you think you need until you have it.

Hello,
I'm new member in xda ,but ı am reading posts nearly 1 year.In these days ı am little bored to my phone. One of my friend wants to swap her atrix 4g with my sgs4g.I dont know much about atrix 4g.Is this good choice to change my phone with atrix 4g or not?
Google specs on both and compare. That will give you a good idea. Also not a bad idea to check out the development section for the atrix to see what is available.
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda premium
I looked the specs and atrix has dual core and more memory but sgs4g has beatıful screen and more battery time.Atrix also dont have aries kernel,it has only ports to jelly bean. Some people complains abot lag in atrix , but it's very strange cause dual core and 1 gb ram good hardware.
We don't have an aires kernel. lol Hardware wise the atrix is a better phone for sure. That would make me wonder why the person wants to trade it.
She said just bored too..
