Since installing Infused current version and transfusion current version randomly my screen timeout settings will change. I had thought that it was the stay asked app. I installed but I uninstalled that still have the issue. I have tried repair permissions in CWM Recovery no change this is really getting annoying.

I've been on Infused for some months now, and never had this issue. Didn't change to the kernel you have on though.
Looks more like some app messing up your phone. I would recommending all kinds of power saving apps you have on. You could try uninstalling and reinstalling apps you have on to pinpoint the issue.

How can I tell what is causing my phone to freeze? Is there an error log or something that will point me in the right direction?
At first I thought it was power amp causing the phone to crash, out doesn't matter whether I have headphones in or not. But it's also been rebooting all by itself. Even when not using that app. I've tried clearing data, have NEVER restored appdata with tibu. Tried downloading fresh copies of apps and have even changed UV settings. Nothing works. Phone freezes and touch screen is completely unresponsive, no buttons work and I have to pull battery to reset. HELP?! I just wasn't to find out what's causing this error. Has happened on nearly every ROM I've tried. They start out ok and two Weeks in the problems start
Any UC/OV?
No oc. Only UV but I've backed off on UV settings as this was my first thought. The phone only freezes when using power amp. I've been using the same UV settings since I flashed this ROM. I believe at this time it has nothing to do with voltage settings but possibly a software conflict with this app.

Hello,
I have been struggling with this issue forever. I am using my Google nav app and all of a sudden it freezes barely updating with CPU @100%. I have tried different options using 3g instead of 4g, not using bluetooth, not starting nav when CPU is busy nothing has worked. All of a sudden either at the start or during a navigation session the CPU will go up to 100% and the app will stop updating and if I am driving I left without directions until I reboot. Huge headache. I used different system monitors like 'WatchDog Lite' and 'System Tuner' and those apps say that the most CPU consuming process during that time period is 'Android System Process'. I have no clue as to what 'Android System Process' is doing during that period of time except it is taking a large amount of CPU.
Only option left is to overclock, upgrade to a faster CPU from Verizon or go to Apple IPhone
That's strange, I used the navigation all the time without a problem, besides slow locks. Have you tried clearing the app data, sounds like its the app itself misbehaving.

I haven't had an issue like that and its definitely abnormal. Have you tried installing a ROM like Tweaked or a kernel like PBJ?

I had the same problem before I rooted and installed my first ROM. No problems since then. Recommend you root, install Tweeked or Eclipse and PBJ, also don't undervolt too much. You're headache should stop. I haven't had that happen to me in long long time. I'm a truckdriver and use the maps quite often.

I had the same problem star up all of a sudden a month or two ago. Google maps would just close by itself, and nav would freeze while driving. While messing around one day, I ended up having to wipe my phone and ODIN stock, re root, and put Tweaked 2.1 ROM on it again, and restore all my backed up apps. To my pleasant surprise Google maps and nav are working flawlessly now.

I have been partially able to fix the problem. One I downloaded Copilot Live as a navigation app which uses offline maps instead of downloading maps on the fly like google nav. However, still my phone used to lag close to 20-30 seconds when I would go to my home screen and similarly when I went to my application lists. I was using Seepu so I could see that my CPU was at 100% all the time. This led me to believe that there might be an issue with my SDCard and hence I downloaded sdbooster https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.mehrmann.sdbooster&hl=en .
I saw an amazing performance improvement after I set the cache size to 8192 mb and the lags all but disappeared. However, still when I am on my home screen it sometimes lags 5 seconds which is still infuriating. What the heck is it doing, is it reading apps from the disk?
I am on CleanRom 3.0 right now, fresh install. Now, for the problem. Today while sitting in class I took my phone out to see it was booted into safe mode. So I rebooted it back, and noticed a lot of my downloaded apps were launching 10-25 seconds after I clicked to open them. So, I rebooted again. That didn't work. I cleared cache and dalvik cache. That didn't work. So, I dirty flashed CleanRom 3.0, which still didn't work. After driving and listening to spotify in my car, the apps launched completely fine, and still are. Does anyone know why this is happening? By the way, this happened on my rooted stock rom, that's why I switched roms. I don't know if this could cause any issues, but I do use Directory Bind.
Have you checked if power saver is on?
Another possibility could be a lot of applications running the background and just slowing your phone down.
Check your task manager by holding the home button for about 2-3 seconds.
Yea, power saving is off. And there isn't any apps running in the background when it's ran slow. Most stock apps will launch fast (settings, phone, clock), but downloaded ones won't (I funny, handcent sms). I seriously can't figure out what the issue is. I've even tried messing around with set cpu, but that didn't help.

Try cache mate.

This used to happen on my phone, and it still happens on my wife's. Basically she presses call, and the call won't initiate for 30-60 seconds. The phone is rooted with factory fp1e. I just wiped it a few days ago, started fresh, and right now it is her only complaint. I've tried wiping cache and dalvik. I also tried to fix permissions with cwm 4.xx but the log says it's missing some sort of file. I tried permissions with ROM toolbox but it just spins for hours... I don't think it did anything.
I've been living with that annoying problem forever. Tweaked 3.2 stock or lazarus. I've had the problem way before 3.x or fp5 too

Try deleting cache or reinstalling software. It fixed it for me different times.

Mine does that too sometimes and rebooting seems to help for a bit. Sucks when trying to win something off the radio and you have to be caller #19 or whatever
Mine was doing the same but only worse. It could take minutes before it dialed. Even worse, it would dial while I was on the phone because I pressed "Send" so many times before. The problem is really bad for me because I have a older phone. Anyway, I fixed it by doing the following. I used Cool Tools, OS Monitor and Watchdog to look for runaway apps or processes that use too much CPU. I removed many tweaks I've added like SD boost and Dalvik Heap size and set them back to the stock settings. Using a tool like Rom Toolbox, set your CPU to maximum while the screen is on, normal when it's not. My CPU usage while idle is now very low (<5%). Cool Tool is a great tool for checking this. I also recommend you try CrossBreeder by idcrisis. It's better than the Seeder app, in my opinion. Good luck...
EDIT: Look @ my post #1819 in the CrossBreeder forum for a little more info.

Ok. I downloaded cool tools and can't make sense of the app. How do I use it. I too want to eliminate the lag.

I had been using an older version of the PACman ROM for a while without too much difficulty, then did an in-place upgrade to the latest version, clearing cache/dalvik. This caused severe lag and stuttering. Using Chrome was next to impossible sometimes because scrolling would just stop, swipes would register late, and taps might hit the wrong link cause the page decided to shift down before registering the tap. Additionally, booting was horrendous, especially waiting for WidgetLocker to load and start working so I could unlock.
Tried switching to the Marla kernel. No help.
Then decided to go slightly further back to the source with the PA ROM. Stuttering is gone but phone randomly reboots frequently. I'll just be browsing FlipBoard or Facebook or using Chrome and the bootanim will appear. Tried hiding Halo. Didn't help. Tried installing Marla. Didn't help.
Also got CatLog to try to diagnose the reboots but I don't know what to look for. So many more errors at the E level than I thought there would be. And having to tap each one to find the approximate time of the reboot didn't help much.
Considering going to straight CM but I really don't want to lose the app DPI stuff from PA.
Any ideas?

Odin stock , factory reset then flash twrp and pa.
So I guess I haven't fixed it yet. Did the restore to stock, flashed Carbon, Marla, gapps. Would still freeze for a few seconds and reboot occasionally. I've updated to latest nightly 3 times now, every time formatting system/data/cache/dalvik.
The only thing I can think of is an incompatibility between Carbon and Marla. I've had same problem while using Moretz too.
On top of the reboots, sometimes YouTube stutters now, with the sound cutting out in a glitchy/clicky way, seeming to be CPU/IO related, not network. Never had that with stock so it's a big step backward.
More info: DPI is changed to 160, Xposed app settings, NFC frozen, Greenify, Lookout.
Not sure where to start to fix this. Reboots 2-5 times a day.
