Has anybody tried out Chainfire3d on the Atrix 2 and had success? I don't want to try it unless it has had previous success on this phone. So, is anybody using Chainfire on their Atrix 2?

Went to pick up the g2x today and realized they had the G-slate at the store. Had to get it and try it out. Anybody know if somebody is working on rooting this?

Yes there are quite a few of us working on rooting it. So far no one has been successful. One problem we're having right now is with XDA, they won't create us G-Slate users our own forum so all of our threads are scattered around the site like crazy.
At any rate, I've tried three seperate attempts to root the damn thing and no luck. I thought I had it when I used the same method that I found worked on the LG Optimus but I damn near bricked it. I know there's one guy working on rooting it using a method similar to the one that worked on the G2x, which apparently is more similar to the G-Slate than meets the eye. I don't have the link handy, but just do a search for g-slate at the top of the screen and you'll find the thread(s).
I opened a thread below you on this. I'm also still working on getting us a forum.

Not yet that I know of, that will come with time.
I saw a root hack for Droid at

Does anyone know if this works on a Galaxy Nexus?

Do not try hacks, firmwares or mods of other phones on yo phone. It'll result in instability in your phone or may be even a hard brick..

Try changing superuser.apk to something different. I know with time warner app it wouldn't work because of root. So changed it to just user.apk rebooted and it worked.

It appears that it works on my end but I'm on Verizon so ultimately there is no way for me to try on an international phone. Sky go was obtained through an alternative source because Google play says it was not "available" for download through play store.
Also I'm not entirely sure we're even talking about the same sky go since there were a couple available and op didn't offer up anything other than ramblings.

I would like to buy a Motorla Atrix (MB865) but before to buy it I need to know two things. First, is it easy to install ROMs like cyanogenmod? adn second, is it possible to use Jelly Bean and have all the phone's functions working?

mmmm, On this phone It's easy to install ROMs or Flash Stock ROMs. In my experience CM10.1(JB 4.2.2) is much more smooth than stock ROMs, but It's inestable too :/.
I found that Official Jellybean 4.1 leak #3 (only for international Atrix 2) has a balance between stability and smoothness.
Anyway... Atrix 2 is a good phone (I learned a lot with this) and You will need to test what is the "best" ROM for you.
