4500 score last night on 1782mhz CPU setup.
What do I have to do to get scores like that. my phones stock and has a score of 2000+

Quadrant scores dont really mean much. But if u want them higher root your phone and u always have the option to use the overclock kernel
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1340526 theres the instructiona for you to root your phone. If you do it read very carefully follow all instructions exactly

yea tegrak... i'll try to get a clear one didnt know it came out that blurry plus i didnt keep track of score cuz i've been getting that all day
I know this is a stupid question but other than improve quadrant scores, what else does it really improve? Im running the overclock at 1.2ghz right now and I dont notice any difference

I was testing it out and it didn't really make much of a difference on my for Quadrant Standard. I used SetCPU and put both min and max to 1.3 and set scaling to performance and not a big change. I dunno if I'm doing something wrong.
well i'm also deodexed kd1, bali kernel so i dunno n also runnin the touchwiz 4.0(beautiful interface, just a btw)... well my overall performance improved n battery life surprisingly good... its been 7 hrs now and i still got juice...

most recent score 1211
What exactly do I have to do to OC it? I tried it when I had my Captivate but I thought that I needed a different kernel? SetCPU wouldn't let me go over 1ghz... But I do have the bali kernel flashed right now.
EDIT: Nevermind, I saw the other post right after I made this. Sorry to interrupt!
I started a thread about this a while back and I wanted to share the info that was shared to me. Just FYI

Quadrant Advanced provides the breakdown for each individual area (multi-colored).

The thing about quadrant however, is it's not optimized or suited for the processor in our phones (Hummingbird). It was designed for snapdragon processors.
Additionally, Quadrant is sub par in my opinion on benchmark test apps (even though it's well known) because it does operations that aren't typical. If you get advanced you'll see that it does like 60% all IO operations, however thats a really strange test because it would be like you running a full on database on your phone.
So the scenarios and tests it runs are not representative of the scenarios you are going to use your phone to perform.
I like SmartBench better because it gives you an index for Gaming and Productivity.
Samsung Galaxy S 4G's will slightly outperform the snapdragon/adreno combo that you see in the MT4G etc. Very slight advantage. In regard to productivity it does well too.

U won't notice anything earth shattering from an extra 200 MHz. However for games and flash and videos it does help. Also improves app loading times and things like that so even though it doesn't seem to do much it does help alot when the phone is pushed to the 1ghz area

i did use smartbench too.... n in terms of gaming it was rite up there with optimus but likely lower in productivity
Scored 1263 Running deodexed KD1, with Bali kernel and spb shell (which is kind of a resource hog)
I know it doesn't truly give a benchmark for our processor, but just like getting your car dyno'd before you build it... it's good for a baseline number. And I was just under 900 stock.

yes that wud be correct
I just got my SGS4G and put the Bali kernel along with the newest beta of the CWM. I still get less than 1k in quadrant. My evo got like 1200 stock and this things hummingbird CPU with its 540 GPU should be FAR faster stock.
It is far faster graphics wise, quadrant is outdated and doesn't really test that, it uses openGL 1 and not 2 that's why i prefer smartbench it gives you a separate score for graphics and processes. Also you said you don't even get 1000 which i find weird because my scores are most of the time over 1000 and i am on exactly the same things as you (bali voodoo and cwm)

whoa, what are you running, and are you running any background services, apps, bloatware apps?
I have all bloatware removed and i'm getting 1023 tops.
Thanks.
We should be getting 1600+. Isnt it because I am using the crappy RFS samsung uses or whatever? Cant I fix that? I remember the vibrant had a lagfix that did the trick.
Just straight up KD1 deodexed with bali kernal 1.4 uv now. No bloat removed
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA Premium App
Whats so great about deodexed builds? If they're stock roms then my rom is better since I've removed bloatware....
I have a question about this kernel, i have it installed on the phone and flashed on it, it said in the post from nemesis2all that there was a Battery hack, i was curious how to use it, i currently have settings at Min=400 max=1300 all settings undervolted 50mV, how good are these settings? and would this be the optimal settings for performance and battery life? or anyone have a better setup that would help. seem to be getting high 1700 quadrant scores with how it is now.
In order to get the best battery life you would not want your phone over clocked, I run otb kernel as well and just uv the stock setting starting at 50 for the 1000, and progressively stepping down to negative 100. Anyways I run, 1000 -50, 800 and 600 -75, 400 200 & 100 at -100 and I have great battery life even with heavy usage and playing memory intensive games, paradise island, drag racing, pocket soccer. Unless your phone is laggy after you enable lagfix I think overclocking is probably just killing your battery faster the only roms I used light oc' ing for was phoenix and miuiwiz, where both launchers seemed to get some lag after a long days use
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
The other school of thought on battery life is, if you overclock the processor, it will finish the task faster and return to a lower power idle state sooner.
well also i used SuperOneClick to root the phone, is rageagainstthecage a good root to use? or are there better ones out there? also sometimes this kernel like to freeze at start up and i have to re flash it. im pretty sure this isnt supposed to happen. any help or advise is greatly appreciated
I've had issues with OTB kernals before. Your problem could be the kernel, but I see you oc'd it to 1300. That too could be causing it. Each phone reacts differently to kernels and oc/uv.

Are we able to still use any touchwiz kernal from ec10 on the new heintz 57 ee19 updated rom?
Well I re-flashed it and used same ovetclock just lower volts and am pulling a average 2100 quadrant score. Don't know if it means much but no lock ups anymore

This could just be my stupidity, but if you can flash kernels then you have a custom recovery, right? What's the point of using super one click? Wouldn't having the recovery and the ability to change kernels, etc mean your already rooted? Just seems redundant, I never used a rooting app and still use all the root only apps....

Kinda. The only way to flash a kernel is with a custom recovery but you don't necessarily have to be rooted to do that. EE19 is not rooted so that's why you need SOC if you want to root. Rooting opens up a lot of options for apps and moving and copying system files but isn't required for Roms/Kernels.
Anyone have any other general good ideas or cool tricks to do to this phone?

Currently, im doing a bit of testing with the new phoenix 1.1 rom.
This baby can handle some crazy undervolting.
Currently:
1000 : -100
800 : - 100
600: -100
400: -100
200: -150
Going to see what i can get this down to...a bit more tweaking i bet the battery life can get phenomenal.
Try opening and closing the camera a few times in a row and see if it freezes. Or try a quad test, those are usually the things that will cause issues with too much under volting.

Already ahead of you. Up to:
1000 : -100
800 : - 100
600: -100
400: -150
200: -175
Usually ill run 4 quadrant tests and if it passes that it should be stable. Currently ran a 2187 is that a good score for 1.4ghz?
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA Premium App
also when using the OTB kernal what are safe settings to use? ive been running it at 1400Mhz but it lockes up and geeps giving me force close things on start up and never stops and i have to reflash to stock and start over? im assuming this isnt typical, can any one help out?
Actually that's probably pretty typical for an OC that high. I know I can't run it that high without lockups. From what I see in the original thread, most people don't run above 1300 most of the time.
Okay, here's the deal... When I run Quadrant Standard vs AnTuTu Benchmark my scores are always higher on the latter, usually about a 10% increase. Now since the update for AnTuTu that has changed to an increase of about 30%.
Now I know that some have expressed that the scores mean nothing, I on the other hand have noticed that as my scores have risen so has the performance of my device.
So, my question is can this be explained?
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA Premium App
Just ran both back-to-back same setup:
Quadrant = 2558
AnTuTu = 4139

I have a n8013 On 4.0.1 I was geting around 5100 after I updated to 4.1.1 I got 6100 a day latter I tried again and my quadrant score was 4598 what happed why did it drop so much?
Edit I am a dumb ass. I had powersaver on
It happens try to restart your tablet it you leave it on for a few days is normal, I usually get about 5900-6200 quadrant score on fresh reboot, about 4900 - 5200 after a full days use
