I am having this issue as well. I am going to call Tmo to exchange it.
I don't think that will fix the problem. Your replacement will most likely get the same results
It wont solve the issue. I went thru 7 G2s all with dust under the screen. Im telling you you will get use to it. HTC qc sucks ass.

I was thinking about doing it until the limited warranty ends
I've heard of people complaining about this "issue" a lot now, but I've never experienced it. I've had an HTC DREAM (ADP1), HTC VISION, and now my GF has an HTC DOUBLESHOT. There has never been an issue with dust under the screen. I would suggest that it may, therefore, be related to EXPOSURE to dust. Possibly related to how you protect the phone. Do you keep your phone in a clean pouch? Or do you drop it in your pocket along with whatever other cruft you may be walking around with? Do you work in a particularly dusty environment?
In any case, the issue would be that the digitizer sits above the LCD. The only place where dust could conceivably get to that would be visible as "under the screen" is between the digitizer and the LCD. You should be able to disassemble the phone and wipe it out (after warranty expires). Until then, use warranty, and then protect the phone from dust.
I've never had issues with dust under my screen, but then again I've always kept my phones in a G1 pouch
http://www.amazon.com/T-Mobile-HTC-Google-Phone-Pocket/dp/B001OOEQJ2
The only time I've had an issue was when I took apart my MyTouch 3G slide and touched underneath the screen and got prints all over it and put it back together without realizing it, so that was entirely my fault..
No dust for me. Have my phone on me 24/7 in an extremely dusty environment. I am a powder coater
I am usually covered head to toe, with powdercoat and metal dust. Kept loose in my pocket and I use it 3-4times an hour to check the time.

Never had any dust in mine either, but I pouch mine like RazoE and take absurdly good care of it. Used to have a G1 that I bought used and it never had any dust either.
The earpiece on this phone is kinda big; perhaps dust is making its way in from there?

Thanks!
Upon further inspection, it seems this might actually be the port of entry; see attached photo.
The glowing blueish area in the red rectangle is the LCD, pretty much open to whatever can make its way in, i.e. dust. There is another opening similar to this further down the track between the screen and keyboard and you can see it pretty well if the screen is lit up.

What better way to start a 12 hour shift than dropping your phone a couple of inches only to have it land on the one spot the case isn't protecting. Now the left side of the tough as nails gorilla glass looks like my first generation iPhone did after I had thrown it out of a moving vehicle.
As much as I love my infuse I think after staring at the crack for 12 hours ill be lucky if I remember to pull my SD card out before it has the same fate. So come first pay check galaxy S2 Skyrocket or swtich to Verizon for the nexus.
Random question anyone know if the att unlimited 4g that I have now will still be unlimited if I change to LTE?

Not sure about the data plan, but everywhere I've looked people are against the skyrocket. I don't know the problems off the top of my head, but everybody says go with the original s2 attain. I'm sure if you're running stock software you'd be fine, but the attain has way more dev support.

Thanks for the input. I was kinda hoping to try out att's LTE, guess ill do alittle more reading to find out if it's worth it. I wonder if it would be better to get galaxy nexus on Verizon or be pacient and see what att comes out within the next couple of months.

I get that issue on multiple roms....have heard others say the same.
as for upgrades skyrocket isn't bad just not the strongest development there, however rumor is the galaxy note should be here soon! Suggestion might be to grab a skyrocket for 29 days to test out Att's lte if its in you're area and hope the note shows up in your first 30 days.
Edit: and yes if you have unlimited it would follow you to an lte device.... but than there's the throttling :-(

From what little research I've done it seems it would cost more to repair the screen than what i paid for it. So time to move on to a new phone and get a better case for it. Either wait to see what att comes up with the next couple of months or be impatient and get the galaxy nexus.

nexus specs are pretty standard, its no sgs2 for sure but neither is the infuse. atleast the nexus will get long term updates and always have the newest android version. you don't get that with Samsung.
to each there own I guess. I have no issue with the 5mp camera or 1ghz processor nor the pentile matrix display, I turn the MP down on all my phones to save space. no phone can take good 8mp pics. the iPhone 4s may take better 8mp pics but better than bad doesn't mean good. hell I'd like to have a nexus1 just cuz I like the illuminated track ball and poketable size.

If you read on cornings website the infuse is not listed as one of the phones with gorilla glass and if it does it certainly isn't scratch resistent

They also state on their website that not all products are listed. The infuse DOES have gorilla glass.

just because its gorilla glass, does not mean you can not scratch it, the atrix has gorilla glass, with in my first week of use, it had hair line scratches.
its glass bro, same properties, just a tad more durable.
I think were all forgetting my poor infuse is cracked. But I must say its the only flaw not one scratch on the screen and never used a screen protector. Lol

Hi guys,
I'm new to the community but hope to be part of it!
Anyways I used to be an iphone user but switched to the skyrocket and love it! Its been about 3 weeks and everythings been great. I actually decided not to use a screen cover and have gotten no scratches thus far.
However today i noticed under a bright light theres two horizontal whitish lines on my screen, both near the top each only going half way across the screen. I can see it most clearly under bright light and almost not at all under a regular light and if I look at my phone at an angle (from the bottom to the top or vice versa) It looks more like a smudge (that cant be rubbed off) than a sratch because it looks thicker than a scratch, almost a discoloration. However it looks fine with the screen on. What could this be? Should i be concerned or go to the Att store? Thx guys!!

I was wondering if this case is for the Skyrocket/T-Mobile S2. I known it says Nexus on the sticker. But at first I thought it was for the AT&T S2, but then noticed the oval style camera cutout similar to your guys' phone.
Oh, and I'm referring to the case on the left. Not the one to the right.
Reason is, SGP keeps screwing up my order. I ordered one for my Nexus like 2 weeks ago, and finally they send me one and it's this one. Definitely not for my Nexus. I'm trying to tell them it's wrong but they're insisting it's for the Nexus.
Anyways, long story short. Once I get my correct case I'm not sending this one back. Would rather give it away to an XDA member. So I was hoping I could figure out what phone this case is for.

The speaker cutout and the camera seems to be in the right spot for the skyrocket. Wouldnt fit the t989, their speaker is on the other side
Yes its for the skyrocket

Gnex is too rounded. I think it's a Galaxy case, but don't know which variant.
Really? Then I'm stumped. Can't be VZW Nexus as well because the speaker is in the middle like the GSM not to the right side. Well if this isn't for the Skyrocket or T989 then I have no other idea. Dunno what else to do with it lol.

lol so crazy every carrier has their own different version of almost the same exact phone... Do the big wigs at each place say you know what, I want my speaker to be on the opposite side of the phone! Our phone has to be different!! lol
Seriously just makes it a pain in the ass for case companies and everyone else... Don't understand the reasoning...lol
Lol alright then. Thanks for the help guys... If this isn't for the Sprint S2 then I'm just gonna give up and stash it somewhere lol. Thanks for clarifying!

I explained it on my first post. I ordered one for my GN, but they gave me that instead. Says GN on the sticker but tales one second to see that it's not even close to the shape of the GN. And the speaker is centered on my Nexus, not off to the side.

I bought a Galaxy S Glide (I think the same as the Blaze) from an outlet in Hong Kong on import from Canada (on boot it says "Rogers" so I can assume it's from Canada).
After using it for a week it suddenly stopped using the network and said that I need a lock code.
I went back to the shop where I bought it and they said they couldn't do anything immediately and would I like a replacement, which seemed like a nice thing to do.
However, after a couple of days I notice a glitch on the screen happen a couple of times.
I refused to believe it was a big problem (because it was my new phone right!) within a week the screen started to totally crash to the point that it would freeze in the boot up process.
You can see a picture attached of how the screen looks after I managed to do a hard reset.
When it starts to go like this, you cant do anything with it.
The guy at the shop wont change it or refund it, he claims I dropped it.
Samsung Hong Kong don't support it because it's from Canada and the only shop that knows what to do with it is the guy that sold it to me.
I'm taking the guy to the small claims court, but I'd rather have a fixed phone.
Any ideas please?
