Is there a way to get the 5 row app drawer and 5 row launcher. There is a rom for the epic 4g touch that has it and I really like it.

Im looking for a home screen replacement that is basically like launcher pro with the aability to scroll vertically instead of just side to side to view your pages. Is there anybody who would be able to add this feature to their app/ tell me if there is an app already out there ? That would be great thanks

I doubt that there's a home screen replacement that does that. I've tried ADW, SSKin Butterfly, Zeam, LPP, GO Launcher, and Open Home, but none can do that. :S
No such a thing so far ... 3d stuff and all these .. but verticla? nope ^^
Try this... http://www.sweeterhome.com/

Have you tried "Crazy Home". It offers both side to side and vertical scrollin.
I'm looking for a launcher to use I am currently using adw but I tried go not a fan of either... I was hoping there was a launcher that let me place my icons and stuff without being on a grid... any ideas,

There is the Go Launcher and ADW Launcher like you said. Try LauncherPro or NovaLauncher. Just search the market for launchers. Or google. I think its all based on grid.
I've been trying them all was hoping someone knew something 3rd party not based through the market :/

You can always use circle launcher for increased personalization.
Sent from MIUI on my HTC Inspire.
My favorite right now is Launcher 7 from the market. Its simple, stylish and customizable. I'm running that on top of CM7 with an ICS theme, and haven't looked back.
Where do you get themes for it I mean I've had It but wp7 never appealed to me

I paid for adw launcher ex and love it. ive used launcher pro, go launcher and adw is my fave.
I too am using ex but I'm a person who wants something different all the time and these are just getting boring :/

There are no themes for Launcher 7 as far as I know. It's basically 2 screens; the WP7 style tiled grid, and the application list to the right. What you can do though is use your own images as icons, so it doesn't necessarily have to be a colored tile with the white icon in the middle (the default setup). Using a transparent.png and some images you like you can bend it to your liking. The CM7 ICS theme just affects the highlight color when selecting an app from the list and some small color accents when hitting the soft menu.
Before I found Launcher 7 I was using Launcher Pro, so that would be my next vote, then ADW.
I use Zeam. Love it.

Go Launcher EX is really good. I can't really think of any launcher not based on a grid but there are Circule Laucher that's not really a laucher but more of a "laucher" inside of a launcher. It look really good though. An alternative is WaveLauncher which is not bad either.

I still use zeam with miui. With the Suave HD miui theme and dark fade dock it's pretty nice looking IMO

If you want something completely different, you could tty Rocket Launcher. Not my thing, but kind of cool.
i used SPB Shell 3D for some time and thought that was really cool .
Not at 15$ its not awesome xD

Launcher
I paid for ADW and used that for quite some time. I just purchased SPB Shell 3D and I have enjoyed it. The price tag is a bit steep but I have been using it on my Acer Iconia tablet and found it to be great!
I liked how you could change out the panels

I'll cast another vote for Launcher Pro Plus. I'm a big fan of its widgets. The calendar widget is very clean, minimal, and lets you toggle easily between month and list views. I have LPP running on CM7 and it's incredibly stable. It's also very customizable. You can't do away with the grid layout, but at least you can change rows/columns. It also has a super smooth vertical scrolling app drawer, if you're into that.
I don't run widgets. Cost to much memory so I just keep it clean and simple. I only use one widget at a time

Hey guys. I'm running seanz's skyICS 4.2E-14 which comes with touchwiz ux. I'd like to change the grid size on the home screen (perhaps to something like 7 x 8) so I can adjust the LCD density. Is there any way to do this?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using XDA
Im not sure but if u click the menu button and go under settings their should be launcher settings then u could click homescreen and choose the size.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using XDA
Download lcd density pro from market and adjust the screen density to around 180

People.. thats NOT what he is asking !!!
seacritasianman .. as of right now, no .. there is no way of changing the grid size with the new Samsung TW-UX. I to had asked the question in the original development thread in the Samsung 9100 section .. and to Sean.
The only grid size that can be modified is the Apps Drawer .. thats it.
Don't know how attached you are with Touchwiz, but you can try a 3rd party launcher. I think all of them have an option to change the icon grid size.
Ah alright. Thanks LordGeek. And I used to use Apex, but for some reason, I've taken a liking to TWux, so I'll just stick with it for now xD

How can i set the center screen as default when i press the home button?
Sent from my XT897 using xda premium
You can't with the default launcher unfortunately (unless someone 'fixes' that in a custom ROM down the road). But you can get a 3rd party launcher and do it.
Such as? I hate adw and am not sure about go launcher ex performance on this device, wish i could use go launchers tablet version as it is set up in a very convenient way as i always use this device sideways

I think the two I hear the most about with 4.0+ are Nova and Apex.
+1 on Nova.
I used that on my G2 and my N7. Havent tried with my new PQ since I'm not sure if the fancy icon swipe feature will still work.
Hmmm nova... my old photon had nova on it with cone name android rom.

Moving to the Nexus 5 from a Galaxy Nexus. (It's in the mail)
I'm using Nova Launcher Pro on the Galaxy because I just don't enjoy the low grid size of the GP stock launcher. I'm guessing I'll only be even more frustrated on the bigger screen, but I'd really like to stick to the stock launcher if possible.
So my question, is there anyway to just tweak the stock launcher to to a different grid size without all the other changes that come with the custom launchers?
Thanks.
Yes, Install xposed framework and a module called xposed gel settings.
