I'm glad you haven't been updating your ROM with all these GB leaks.
I've just been flashing the modems.

Seriously?

[i9003] [REF] Extracted system.rfs

I have extracted the system.rfs of the new GT-I9003 firmware I9003XXJL9 which I think might be helpful for moders and developers.

Edit: This is a froyo 2.2.1, not a 2.3 as thought.

ok, but... What are the advantages of this system.rfs ?
It's the same as factoryfs.rfs on the I9000 firmwares, everything except the kernel and the modem firmware. The XXJL9 is Gingerbread firmware.
Meaning with this,
We get one Big step for unofficial gingerbread Rom, and a giant leap for GalaxyS kind.

Correct, when the applications etc. has been de-odexeded then they can be freely put in any costume ROM that can be flashed to an I9000 and will look/behave exactly as a Nexus S/I9003.
eh, clearly 2.2.1 after downloading. system.prop says 2.2.1 and froyo all over the place and build.prop says sdk version 8 (which is froyo)... boo misleading and disappointment

You are correct, I did not check the build.prop file, my mistake. This is why I thought that it was a 2.3 version: http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=2707&c=samsung_gt-i9003
I would like to ask the mods to delete this thread.
So it doesnt comes with 2.3?

If you have Drhonk's kernel installed on KJ5 already, you'll have to boot into recovery, disable voodoo, then flash this via ODIN. You can put drhonk's kernel back on top of this one when done.

Does this mean ICS is coming
Does this mean CM7/MIUI will finally have bluetooth support
Does this fix the "unregistered device through kies" problem
Will this fix my unresponsive touchscreen
Where do these come from? Like how do we get the leaks? We got an inside man? Lol.
Sent from my SGH-I997 using XDA App
Touchscreen is very responsive and smooth with this leak. Definitely a Improvement! I also noticed ram consumption is lower than it originally was with UCLB1. I love how fast this leak is.... I think the modem is 45% better than UCLB1. The Wifi issue seems to be fixed as I don't see it turn off when my phone sleeps.
Edit: I hope they can make it even better. Till next week I'll be waiting lol.

Download 7zip to extract it. On the right had side of 7zip it has a slot for a password. The password has to be in there when you extract it. Once it is extracted do what dman said with the md5 and odin.

[How To] Fix popping/clicking on new/old baseband

How to Fix Calling on Any Baseband and Any ROM
- For a ROM that doesn't support the new baseband (March 2012), flash this: http://owain.hopto.org/T-Mobile LG G2x (p999)/Domination/new_baseband.zip (Alternate link: http://d-h.st/OkL) Thank you owain94
- Those on the old (March 2011, July 2011) baseband, and want to update: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1674901 Thank you Eagl3007
- For a ROM that only supports the new one (but you're on the old one), flash this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1135176&d=1339901539 (Alternate link: http://d-h.st/UlN) Thank you Volk
Note:
This is not my work, I put special thanks to all in this. This is just for those who have the problem and keep asking for a solution.
Caution: Whenever flashing a ROM (after any ROM flash), you must always flash the fix accordingly right after.
Bluetooth calling on the new baseband does not work unless on a stock (2.3.4) ROM.
This does NOT replace your current baseband. It only fixes the problems with calling, keeping your current baseband!
First bump, do a similar for Ppl on old base band and they flash a incompatible ROM.

would doing this cause the person on the other end to barely be heard and sound like they are a million miles away?

If you arent getting a popping/clicking noise then you havent did anything wrong, certain factors for what your problem is, could be in call volume is low, bad reception, or bad reception on the other persons end, but there's also other factors I'm not entirely sure.
