The answer is: It depends. Depends on what infrastructure your company has in place to track your movements should they choose to. Even going through a proxy they could still sniff the traffic to your box if they so chose. I'd have your butt in a heartbeat as soon as that device lit up on the network.
I can tell you that where I work the mere act of putting that on your device and it's use with the intent of bypassing corporate restrictions would get you fired on the spot. Is it worth it?
Well I'm logging on to the customer lounge WiFi... guess the question would be could they tell its me and not a customer ...

Sorry, just woke up so it didn't process. If your incredible is not company provided, then no. They would just be able to tell you're on an incredible, and profile you based upon the sites you visited, if they wanted to go through the effort. But if it is from the company, IT should have its MAC.

Video chat from Tab to PC

Hey guys!
What software, if any are you using for video chat from our beloved tab to a pc and vice versa? Obviously Skype doesn't work, but are there other software capable. Yahoo Messenger isn't working either.
Any suggestions for a PC client?
Thanks a bunch.

TB doesn't support Skype yet. so the answer is no.
There are two versions of Skype in the market. The regular Skype one works fine. Skype for Verizon wireless gives you an incompatiblity message and then quits.

Skype is working but Skype mobile is not working right now. They are "working" on it so who knows when it will be up and running for the TB

Skype 2.0 video chat on g2x.?

Hey xda well Skype just update and now has video chat on nexus s and a couple other phones and I was wondering if there's a way to make it think we have a nexus but I'm pretty sure it might be the same steps when people tried the Netflix app. Also I think I read its only gingerbread not sure anybody on cm7 might give it a try.? Thanks xda.

I am interested in getting this working as well. I use skype for business as well as to my brother in law in Alaska. It would be nice to use my phone instead of being tied to a less mobile laptop.
+1 so far there is no way to have a video call to a pc.. whether it is skype, gtalk, or msn
+1 comeon skype - i have dual camera's and wifi/fast3g on my g2x - i just want some video chatting to other skype folks.
When oovoo updates thier app, we'll be able to use that to video call computers.

You have to change multiple lines in the build.prop. Not just the line that shows your phone model. I used this method to get my MLB at-bat live to work on my Vibrant 4g.
My G2x isn't rooted yet, but if someone posts the build prob I can show you the lines to change.
Try:
ro.product.model=Nexus S
ro.product.manufacturer=Samsung
If that doesn't work post a build.prop file... I believe another line might need to be changed..
