[Q] HTC Desire not booting

Hello All,
I'm hoping someone on here can help me...
My HTC desire will not boot past the White and Green HTC splash screen.
I have tried factory restore by holding vol. down and switching on menu etc. but have had no joy.
The phone has not been rooted or modified in anyway.
Can anybody offer advice?
Kind regards,
Lewis

[Q] Did I brick my phone?

I flashed a new boot.img and after rebooting, I can only get the boot screen with the red logo. I've tried using adb but the device is not connected and I've tried volume up plus the power button and all it does is go back to the logo screen. I have no idea what I can do now? Does anyone have any advice?
Please help if you can, I would greatly appreciate it.
Vol- and power to get into bootloader.
If you can get there attempt to get into recovery and wipe/install new ROM/boot.img

Does adb recognize your phone. If so adb reboot-bootloader. An go from there.

I could be wrong, but you might just not be holding the buttons long enough. That kind of stuff is typically built into the hardware, like holding the power button to reboot a laptop. The ADB reboot method should work though...if you have USB debugging enables (I imagine it would be by default with that ROM).
Had same issue with viper one I flashed the firewater hboot after I adb reboot-bootloader and fixed it… oh I also wiped the boot and dalvik cache then reinstalled hope this helps
