im coming from htc desire, cm7, so i have sd-ext2 partition on my sd card. do i still need that partition for android revolution or can i get rid of it? i tried using darktremor but didnt work. thanks
which one u recommend:
Android Revolution HD or Ledroid?
Virtuous. It has an advanced pull down menu and Wi-Fi calling. But if it I must choose between those two I'd say LeeDroid. Used it for a bit before switching to Virtuous because I really needed those extra options in the pull down.
Virtuous is avaiable for HTC sensation?
+1 for virtuous. I'm running v1.0.1 and its very fast and stable. Can oc up to 1.8 ghz but its really unnecessary because this rom us perfectly smooth.

Your SD Card doesn't need to be partitioned for a Sensation. But a wipe doesn't format your partition unless you specifically select it.

I'm new on here so please bare with me.once you boot into recovery and on the first screen you pick install from sd card then pick your zip file from your sd card and.then back out and reboot your phone is that the correct procedure, way to install a kernel?

Any help anyone.I would greatly appreciate it.

Yep. Put kernel on root of SD card, boot into recovery, install from SD card, choose the kernel, let it install, and then reboot your phone.
Yea thats the general way of installing it... I usually wipe cache and dalvik cache before and after installation... This is my way of doing it... Wipe cache and dalvik cache, then install from sd card, then pick the zip file, wait till its done then, i dont reboot after that, i wipe cache and dalvik cache again... Then reboot....
First thing, Always check if the md5/sha is match after you downloaded the file... Just google and youll find some good free md5 checker

When installing a new rom do I want to download the rom on my phone first or do I want to clear all partitiabs except the SD card I just don't want to download the rom and then erase it be doing a partitions clean except the SD card.please explain the process.I download my new roms to my phone directly then I put then on zip file then install them on my SD card.

Have you rooted and installed a custom recovery? If so, then you would download the rom (directly to the phone or you can copy the rom to the SD Card) and then reboot into recovery, after you've gone into recovery select "install from sd card" and then navigate to the rom .zip file.
Installing a new rom
You should download 4ext recovery, download the rom on your computer if possible and then put it onto your sd card and use 4ext recovery to make a nandroid backup of your current rom in case you want to revert to it and flash your new rom.

What are the partition sizes for the shift? I need to resize everything after a bad attempt to port Firefox OS to the Shift.
