I've downloaded and installed that SDK thing...what else is there to do? I'm confused!
Are you a registered developer?
You can get mango with microsoft connect.
Normally, microsoft send you an invitation mail.

You need to sign up for the AppHub for $99 AFAIK. Once you've done that you can register your device as a dev device, then when you connect it to the Zune software it asks if you want to install the ISV beta. At least, that's what I understand (I'm signed up but I'm not yet verified).

I signed up to AppHub for free as a Student, but that was a few weeks ago. I was verified and everything. However, the AppHub site is down so I'm not sure what to do now.
Didn't you see my post? Search in your mail box for microsoft connect. That's the place to download it.

I've been verified as a student and all by GeoTrust just a couple days ago. After final confirmation, Microsoft Connect just sent me an invitation today, so I'm going to guess that you've probably gotten yours awhile ago or at the very latest, today.
Waiting for invitation
I registered and activated my AppHub membership yesterday and even developer-unlocked my phone to get it ready for the Mango beta... Do I just sit here and twiddle my thumbs waiting for a connect invitation or can I download the official Mango beta 2 files from elsewhere?

You can wait for your evite, but since your live account is recognised as dev unlocked, you can still upgrade to mango unofficially without an invite and have your phone unlocked.

When you log into your account, does it say that you need to be verfied ? Normally, you need to submit (even a dummy/test) app to the marketplace, once that happends, they verifiy you, then after that, maybe a about 2-3 days, you'll get your mango invite.
You could download the files else where if you want, they will work, just make sure you backup.
Need links..

Same here
Me too. I doubt we'll see it.
I submitted a request to MS Deepfish site Thursday, was told none available, but got an e-mail with link and activation code Friday. Maybe requests are granted at random...or they just like me for some reason.
Here is my email to Skyfire
Dear Skyfire,
I've noticed that the sign up form for the private beta has changed numerous times since the first unveiling of Skyfire. I signed up using the original form that just asked for a name, email, and phone number and was wondering if it was necessary for me to sign up again using the new form that asks for more information? I am really looking forward to testing out Skyfire and helping to perfect what looks like the best mobile browser period, so a clarification on this would be awesome.
Thanks,
Scott ****

Skyfire's response
Scott,
No worries about the form changing on the website as all the sign ups will be processed in first signed-up, first invited regardless of data entered on the website. Obviously, since our private beta initially supports Windows Mobile phones in the US, those people will be able to download first. Soon we will verify the beta sign ups with an SMS message that includes a link that when clicked it verifies the phone type for us. Windows mobile phone users will be invited to download and others will be notified later when we support their phone.
The response has been tremendous and we will be inviting as many Windows Mobile beta sign ups to download as quickly as we can support.
Thanks for asking, and thanks for your interest in Skyfire!

may 14 still waitnin
I signed up and got my confirmation on Feb 3. Just received my invite on May 12. It's possible they are also rolling out the beta based on region (area code)??? But they are indeed still sending out invites. Be patient.
its a very screwy and annoying method .. imo if the beta is ready than everyone should be able to download and test ... extremely frustrated
It seems to take forever to get it. I signed up when it was first announced, and I just got it a couple of weeks ago.
Signed up early Feb from Canada. Got my invite last week. Its ok. Takes forever for pages to render properly. Good to use as a sometimes browser. Problem is that they didn't include support to download anything. Not even a picture.
Guys and gals, I've just published a review of the current version of SkyFire. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=393693
Now that we have root, can US owners get pass the Spotify proxy problem somehow?
+1 I'd also like this

How to signup!
Didn't notice that this already exists so I created my own post here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=715702&highlight=spotify
I found a way to signup. Now just need to figure out to get the apk.
Maybe a mod can join these two.

You can get the apk from their site I think. I got it a while ago before knowing it was for international users only. Let me see is I still have it, but it may be a tad outdated.
Link worked, but I'm unable to pay for premium service because it somehow recognizes that paypal is a US account. I'm going to have to try proxy or some other method. I'll keep you posted if I succeed.
EDIT: Tried paying through paypal with proxy and still the same problem. Tried a regular master card and it says denied right away. I think I might be stuck and SOL.
good try Supa!
i too have the apk, but didn't read my email soon enough to get it to ya. thanks Red.
Is it a one time fee or a monthly charge? Perhaps some sort of travelers check type payment.
Here's the latest apk: http://www.spotify.com/wp-content/uploads/android/0.4.04/SpotifyAndroid.apk
It's a monthly charge, but I already like it because there are albums that you have to buy on rhapsody or napster but you don't on spotify. I guess I'll just continue using it as a desktop app for now until I can figure out how to pay their monthly fees.

I cannot figure out how to register. Invitation code fails, as states, but the "Sign Up" button is for joining their mailing list to be notified when registration starts next.
can the roms for the Arrive be used to downgrade, so i can unlock my phone..?
I'm using the Arrive for Sprint
Doubtful. The NoDo update that came preinstalled on the phone plugged the holes that Chevron exploited.
why would u want to downgrade such a great OS on a great device? u can unlock it by purchasing a developer unlock for $99 or free via dreamspark if ur a college student.
well im waiting for geotrust to email me back... its been about 13 hours now... lol
i already have a dreamspark account and a apphub account. I just didn't think it would take this long, but i'll wait it out.. its worth it
I assume he would want to downgrade to WM 6.5 for a similar reason I would... and that is to unlock and tether using an Energy ROM. WOuld this be possible?
Many of you know, you have to be logged into your HiCloud account and wait two weeks to be eligible to get a bootloader unlock code from Huawei.
Unfortunately for me and others, it seems that a factory reset restarts that clock. So although I have made sure to sign in every day for the past 14 days, it looks like I'm on day 3. I guess this is the price I pay for all of my tinkering?
I'm curious if anyone has been able to get an unlock code, and if so, how?
I'm @ 14 days today, still not getting the unlock code either. Hurry up DC-Unlocker

Can you PM me your Hangouts? I have some questions about it. Particularly, does the notification on your phone show that you've been logged on for 14 days when you go to HiApp -> Me -> Personal Space
Strange, I don't have the Personal Space in the Hicare app. Can't see at all how long I've been logged on.

Sorry, what I was asking applies only to the Chinese version. I'm not sure how the unlocking procedure on an L29 would be, as I haven't got one.
Guess that would explain it ?

Hi @duraaraa,
Just curious! Where would you see that unlock code? Where is it supposed to "land"! I have both HiApp and HiCare apps but I am clueless about how this unlock code is going to materialize!
Thanks.

You must make a request at huawei's site.
https://emui.huawei.com/en/plugin/unlock/index
Log in, then choose Download, then choose to request bootloader unlock code.
FYI, everyone. I can more or less confirm some bad news. As of present it's not possible to get an unlock code for the (Chinese, maybe also International) Mate 9, even if you've had it for two weeks. I hope someone proves me wrong, but I've looked as much behind the scenes as I can with their bootloader unlock code generation website, and the result is, it's looking for a code but can't find it. I'm guessing Huawei hasn't updated their database or something. I'm trying to get a hold of the very elusive bootloader unlock support people, but not much in the way of a response from them yet. If I hear anything useful, I'll update here.
I just got my code from Huawei via email after sending them a thousand emails.
I will put a guide on what to include to get it.

It's already been up in the other thread, but here you go: http://pastebin.com/RYSvQq21
I called Huawei (Switzerland) concerning the L29 bootloader, and they asked me all the questions (EMEI , S/N, etc...) and they told me that in the next 2-3 days i should get the bootloader information on how to unlock my bootloader.
I'll keep you updated if this is true.
