Darky ROM is not compatible with Infuse.
None of the roms under "download" in Rom Manager are compatible for the Infuse Phone except for the one under the heading of: "gtg465x" which is the Infused rom which can also be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1105413
There are 2 other custom roms which are made for the Infuse, one is called "Bionix Infinity" which you can find here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1120469
The other rom is called "Refused" which can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1101072
If you are having problems getting the phone back into recovery mode there is only one thing which will solve the problem for you.
You will need to download the "Ultimate Unbrick" rom.
You can find the Ultimate Unbrick rom here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1116251
This will get you back to the stock froyo 2.2 rom.
Be sure to follow the step by step instructions in the link above.
Good Luck!

Don't worry, your phone is NOT bricked at all, it just has to go into download mode and re-flashed with the stock rom using the Odin3 (TAR file method).
The reason you cannot get it back to recovery mode is that by trying to flash a none compatible rom it messes up the bootloader in the phone and as far as I can tell the only way to get it to work is by using Odin flash method which is really easy if you follow all the instructions completely.
Again, good luck!

Good job on reading threads before flashing Anything smart one! BTW there are only like 3 roms out for this phone right now!!!
Big dog Infuse I997 running Infused 1.5.3, Defused 1.5
i downloaded infused 2.3.3, flashed it with cwm, and it got stuck on the boot animation, the X, i re-flashed, pulled battery, even factory reset and flashed, nothing, getting stuck, im really scared
EDIT- now its stuck at the samsung logo, anything!?! please!
Search this forum for GTGs ultimate unbrick. This will bring your phone back to stock.
or hemidall flash back to stock rom, unbrick it and flash to any other rom of your choice.
so i took it to at&t, they re-flashed the stock rom, but now when i turn the phone on, it ONLY boots into e3 recovery, not the auctual 2.2 rom, any help?
You need to flash the unbrick by gtg to repartition your device... that's what has happened... some how your partitions got jacked and its not letting you get past the kernel screen... its all good...your phone is not bricked... and definately don't take it back to att...gtg unbrick....with pit...factory reset from phone... settings/privacy/factory format...then you should be good

First post on how to do it. Then you need to scroll to page 40 and get the file from secretasianman.
Make sure you thank him.
sounded like you need to spend some quality time with my how to guide.
@OP:
I used Infused 2.2.3 for months since its inception before I switched to Zeus. I would recommend moving to one of the later roms like Zeus or Revelation or anything else since they have the later android version, and pack in more features too.
Does just rooting your g2x brick it? or do you have to intall a rom for it to get bricked. i want to root my g2x but i im begging and am scared to brick it. i found a link, but idk if its reliable if it actually roots the g2x 2.3.4 anything would help
THANKS

With the recovery guides listed in this forum, the G2x can't be permanently bricked, so don't worry so much.
G2x root help?

im a noob at this i have almost no clue what im doing i tried superoneclick but it stays stuck saying something.
Thanks guys i rooted it. next step ROMS
Rooting does not brick the phone, but being rooted gives you the ability to brick the phone. You do not need to be rooted to flash roms. The first thing that should be done is to install Clockworkmod (CWM) recovery onto the device (search the forums) using the one-click flasher. If you are simply rooting and using Rom Manager that is a good way to F up your device. If you install CWM recovery then you just flash a pre-rooted rom if you are changing roms. No need to root first. A total waste of time. And to be safe you need CWM on the device's physical recovery partition (not bootstrap version) before you do anything to your device.

This phone is almost impossible to actually brick. This is probabyl just a bad flash. Redownload the ROM, boot into recovery, wipe, wipe, wipe, and reinstall the ROM and the correct Gaaps.
If problem still persist, you will have no choice but to use Odin. Search around in the forum or Google. Good luck.

Huh? Odin is for Samsung devices, not for LG devices.
Unless there us something I don't know about, don't use Odin in g2x. Unless you do want a brick.
Just re-download the rom and try again.
For root just use One Click to root. It's easy.

How? I tried the steps for Flashing a CWM Recovery, but whenever I hold down power and volume down it just loops between the LG logo and the android unpacking animation and no driver installation window pops up. What's happening?

Sounds like you did not remove the battery from the phone first. Or you are not pressing both up and down volume together and keeping them pressed continuously.

When I do that, It just shows the LG logo and restarts. Another loop.
[EDIT] I'm a noob. I've been looking in to this for hours and just now realized it said both up and down. Derp. Now I can get into CWM recovery mode, but I still cant seem to get my device to actually boot. It's either recovery or the blue LG.

Wipe user data and cache and reboot. Do you boot into UCLB3? If not, the flash didn't complete and we have more troubleshooting to do. Also, let us know your goal. Which ROM do you want to run? Rooted stock UCLB3 or something else?

So I have decided to flash a custom ROM on my SGS. I've update the firmware to 2.2 via Kies and rooted the phone with SuperOneClick. I then tried to install a custom kernel from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1080871. I then followed the direction on this page http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S/SGH-T959V/Kernels and flashed the kernel. I flashed the kernel with SGS kernel flasher and rebooted. The booting animation came up with the word Android flashing on top of it, the S logo soon went away and only left with the android logo and the phone seems to be stuck there. I could go into the CwM Voodoo Lagfix Recovery v3.0.2.8x by pressing every button on the phone. What can I do now to get my phone working again?

Put your phone in download mode and run Heimdall. There are three versions, but one is just a kernel that get your phone rooted if you're on a stock rom. Run either other two will get your phone back to Gingerbread. Remember to click on boot loader option as well if you are from Froyo. This will ensure your phone boot up properly and able to get into CWM if you decided to install a custom rom like ICS.

The model I have is T959 without the v? Is there a difference between the two? Is it ok to use the T959V version?
No... the 959 is just the SGS, not the SGS4G. And they're VERY different. You'll want to go to the SGS forum if you actually have a T959, no-V.
I'm pretty sure this is the 4G version. Maybe I have the model number wrong, but the box of the phone has the picture of the Avatar movie on it. Or the vibrant version. Is that a T959 or T959V?
edit: after a little bit digging, I might be on the wrong forum :S

Yes, yours is a Vibrant version. You cannot use roms in this forum. It will get your phone bricked. Go to the Vibrant forum instead.
