Hello guys i have just dissembled my infuse 4g to see whats up with my vibration. I saw the cable and i figured out whats wrong with it. I had infusion kernel and i had it all the time on the 1600 which i was stupid because at night my phone was getting overheated as hell. I guess i cant fix the cable so i want to buy the whole part with the headphone jack microphone and vibration so i dont need to mess with the cables just plug it in. If someone know where i can get it at or if someone can sell it to me please reply thanks!

Hi everyone, last night I was replacing my girlfriends HTC sensation digitizer.
The replacement went well, or so I thought, untill we realised that the microphone wasnt working, I knew as I was replacing this, that I had broken something as I felt/saw the little cable snap.
Now I know it is the microphone flex cable that needs replacing (IF I AM WRONG ABOUT THIS PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!)
I am about to buy the replacement flex cable, but I'm very nervous about carrying this fix out, as there is no tutorials on the internet.
I don't generally need tutorials, but I enjoy having them up for a reference, and I HAVE NEVER done a flex cable before.
Can anyone help me find out how to replace this cable?
Also let me know if the cable im talking about is the right cable to fix the mic.
Thanks very much in advanced ! Wilks3y
No one can help?
Seriously?
There posts about everything else but no one can help me out swapping a flex cable?

The Charging Port On My Captivate Is Broke. The Piece That Sticks Up And Goes In The Charger Is Broken Off. I Order A New Charging Port Off Of Amazon The Name Of The One I Ordered Is---Charge Port for Samsung D700, i897, i917, Captivate, Cetus, Epic 4G, Focus
And I Was Going To Switch Them Myself. Im Pretty Good At Doing These Kind Of Things And I Can Take Everything Apart But I Dont Know For Sure How To Get The Damaged Charger Port Off And Put The New One On With Out Completely Ruining The Whole Thing. So If Someone Could Please Give Me A Link To A How To Or If You Know How Post It Or A Video Or Anything It Would Be Greatly Appreciated! Cause I Dont Have The Money To Get It Fixed Anyway Else. Thanks!
Today, I hooked my new S4 into my car's audio for the first time. I noticed that if I have both the audio out and the USB charger plugged in at the same time, I get this buzz in my speakers while no sound is coming from the device.
Now, if the device is playing music or something, the buzz goes away. Pause or something, though, and the buzz comes back. If I unplug the charger, the buzz also goes away.
Anyone else experience this?
Anyone know how to fix it?
Sounds like a ground loop. There are thingies on Amazon you can buy that will reduce it.

i did notice the buzz when i had plugged in my aux cable and my charger. But i think i got rid of it once i tried to plug the aux cable in some more, i had a neo hybrid case on and the aux cable wasnt fitting well unless i pushed it in hard and once i did that i think i got rid of the buzz, havent really paid attention to it after that since the buzz doesnt really bother me cos i usually have music playing through my car speakers if my phone is connected.

Yes. Currently there is no fix that I'm aware of. And yes, it really does suck.
I got this yesterday, worked perfectly!

I have no case, currently, so I can't get the cable in any farther (further?) than it is.
Maybe this ground loop thingie is my answer.
I'm also considering bluetooth for my audio so that I don't even need to worry about a cable.

See my previous post. I just got this ground loop isolator for the exact same problem and it works perfectly.

I bought that exact same ground isolator for my car. It reduces the buzz greatly (to acceptable levels) but is still there a little when the volume on the head unit is up pretty high and there is no audio coming from the phone. I never had this issue from my old nexus s. I was a little disapointed, but like I said this dongle makes it acceptable.
My HTC Sensation, has stopped charging altogether. I took it off charging and when i put it on 10 min later, the LED didnt light up, so i got a toothpick and tried cleaning thecharging port just in case something tiny went in and was blocking it to charge, but that didnt work. The phone was working fine until the battery died and i still cant get it to charge. Now im wondering whats broken, to all those repair specialists out there, what could be broken? I can buy a charging port from ebay, but is that it? or could it be anything else.
I was looking to upgrade soon but was waiting for some christmas deals to pop up, but my phone decided to let me down.
Any help appreciated, thanks guys

Did you solved the problem by buying a new phone?, the problem could be the USB connector himself, if you are very handy you can repair it yourself...

maybe your battery died
I'm assuming you've got it fixed / moved on to a different phone / are using an external charger, but this thread got bumped to the top so I figured I'd chime in.
I had this problem as well. Unfortunately, the usb port is soldered on the board and not a separate unit attached via ribbon cable. The solder joint holding the port on the pcb cracked, resulting in a loose port. Over time, this lead to the pins breaking off the pcb. For a while, I was able to get it to charge by applying pressure to the usb plug. Finally, I took it apart and resoldered it, reinforcing the solder joints for the port itself. It's not too difficult if you use some flux. Just line up the pins and tack the port back on. Then rub flux over the pins and tack them with the soldering iron. No additional solder is needed or recommended-- the pins are in close proximity and it'd be easy to bridge them.
Hi! Sooo basically I went to plug my phone into my car using the AUX cable the other day like I always do, and something didn't feel right. Sadly, I went ahead and pushed it in anyway, and now I can only hear audio from the left side *car, headphones, anything plugged into the headphone jack*. Does anyone have any suggestions? I tried looking into it to see if there was anything I could do, but I can barely see into it at all. I emailed FixEZ.com about the issue to see if I could send it to them to have it repaired, but they told me they couldn't and to check back in two weeks Does anyone know of a place I could send my phone to have it repaired? I use my headphone jack almost daily and the left side only thing makes it unusable Thanks!
Send it to Samsung for repair?

Any chance you'd know about how much that might cost? I bought the unlocked model *SM-G930F* off of Amazon so sadly it isn't under any sort of warranty or anything, that I know of.
I dont know.. Spontaneously I would say under 70 euros? But then you can be sure that it is water resistent.
Did you try other headphones?

Yep. Tried other cables, and an extra pair of headphones I had laying around. I'll try contacting Samsung and see if there's anything they can do. Thanks for the reply
Phone will still be in warranty, return it to your seller / get it repaired free under warranty

Did you make sure the headphone jack is all the way in? Also can you put the headphones in, play a song and very slowly take it out to see if you will get sound? You probably did that already anyways.
Can you also check if the mic still works on the stock headphones?
