Hi all. Brand new Infuse 4G user here and glad I switched from the Atrix (hated the poor camera and washed out colors on the screen). Anyways, I just installed Infused 1.5 with the Infusion 1.5.1 Kernel after wiping all caches and am having a problem with the GoSMS widget.
I restored my apps and settings from TiB but the widget does not show up in the widget list. i can uninstall the app including deleting the data for it, installing it again from the Marketplace, and it shows up again and works perfectly. If I reboot the phone it says "Problem loading widget" and is gone from the widget list again.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Hello,
After installing the mod i an having issues with my launcher pro. The issue is that it glitches and the icons in the app drawer don't show up properly and eventually it crashes and forces me to close it. Now i have tried uninstalling and re-installing a few times and have come to one conclusion. As soon as i use the pure calendar widget is when is starts to fail on me. I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else... I am kinda new at this so I would appreciate a detailed explanation.
I am also thinking that maybe if i un-install adw launcher it might help but im not sure how to do that. Please let me know.
Thanks
Dude - I had some very similar issues after upgrading to froyo on my G1 (dream).
I found that by transferring the bulk of my apps to the sd card the whole thing ran a lot smoother. At the same time I uninstalled the free overclocker app which is I suspect the reason for the better battery life now.
The RC2 install is still only a few days old so I'll post more if I find anything!
Hope that helps.

Thanks man, i will try that! I am using set CPU would that be better if i unistalled?
Hello,
I read through most of the posts concerning custom launchers but still can't find an answer to my problem.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S running on Froyo. I am trying to set GoLauncher as my default launcher but there seems to be a hickup somewhere.
When I hit the home button a window always pops up asking me which launcher I want to use (TW or Go) and I always tick the box underneath to use as default and then select GoLauncher but the window keeps popping up again every time I press the home key.
I also tried to clear the defaults in both TW and Go Launcher but the buttons are grayed out...so I guess the phone does not store my default choice.
Any ideas?

Don't worry about it...took me 15min to reorganize them. It was worth the time for the chance of fixing the problem.

I have the same problem using htc desire z running froyo 2.3.. not rooted.
Have tried re installing. Tried home switcher. tried other launcher than go launcher ex. Problem still persists..
If anyone has made it work for them. Please share what to do.
Thx
Well.. for me the problem was with the 3D camera app.. for some reason it showed up on the bottom of the list of launcher.. unistalled and presto.. no constant settings launcher as default
Via HTC Desire Z
Have tried everything in this post and none have worked for very long.
I am going to try seeing if the Estrongs "Suite" is installed and causing a problem, but I definitely know this isn't a launcher problem as this happens with several different launchers...I thought it was a HTC Sense issue, but I have now seen (I think) a couple of posts from a Samsung device.
I have the Thunderbolt and since the 2.3.4 update, I have had the same problem. I have read several posts, but no real solution. The Homesmack didn't work. This Really sounds like an HTC issue, but I am still trying to read more posts.
Did you try doing a battery pull? Or going into settings and clearing the stock launchers data and cache?

Solution
I have Samsung Galaxy S2 -
Applications - Manage Applications - [All] - TWLauncher - Clear Defaults
I think there's also an App called "Launcher" but look for anything with the word "Launcher" in it and clear the defaults
Or try installing "Go Locker" and it'll ask you again which one you want your default to be
After installing Soundhound, does anyone have the issue where there is no icon in the app menu/drawer? Thanks.
There is something massively wrong with sense 4.0 Plenty of apps are missing icons including Tunein Radio, mirror and others...
I dont know what you guys are talksng about. I updated soundhound today and the icon is still there.

Same here, although I can access soundhound and tunein from the music app...
Never had this issue.
My Soundhound Icon is here sitting on my apps menu.
Just wondering... Do you have your apps menu to show All apps?
Mine is still there, however the girlfriends is having that issue...
*Edit1* Did some digging, there are more apps having this same issue. Mounted to the computer and found some files in .android_secure, turns out it's the missing ones. Funny thing happened while I was typing this out, HTC actually called me regarding another issue I have been dealing with and I informed them of this issue as well. He tested and saw what we see. He'll be getting back to me tomorrow on both issues. I'll update once I know more.
*Edit2* Uninstall soundhound, and reinstall from the market. This will automatically create a new icon on your home screen, but it still won't show up in the app drawer. Good temp fix. Also, using the built-in google search widget you can find your installed apps that don't show up, including Tune In Radio, which I have never seen in the app drawer.

Same issue here. The icon for tunein radio disappeared out of the blue from the home screen and the list of all installed apps. The only way to get to it is through "settings- apps- all".
*Update*
HTC Called me back last night. They are still running tests and will be working on this all week. They plan on contacting me back by/on Friday evening. They are also testing the calender notification issues.
Wow- please keep us updated. Thanks!
Hey guys. Two new unknown icons showed up on my mom's phone. In the attached screenshot you can see an icon for "App Store" and NetSpend. She's using my old T-Mobile G2 with CM 7.1.0.
She says she only installed two applications recently (sorry I can't post links yet)
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tripadvisor.tripadvisor - tripadvisor
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dk.ffpFunnyAnimalSounds - some ringtone app
The second one looked pretty shady so I uninstalled it. This didn't remove the icons so I tried tripadvisor and the icons were still there.
Neither of these show up in the launcher draw or the list of applications in the settings menu, only on the desktop. She has both Go launcher and ADW installed and they are present on both. Long pressing on the icons doesn't really give me much info. I'm lost as to were to start looking for were these icons came from. I could just remove them but I'm afraid of what changes I might not be aware of.
Any ideas?
Download titanium back up, and look for apps which aren't familiar and uninstall through there, they most probably won't show up on manage apps hence why I said titanium backup

Make a factory restore.
I'm running SKY-ICS 4.2F6-2.3 (7/24) (UCLF6 Base) AT&T OFFICIAL ICS..Project Margarine
I just updated to 2.3. It was working great. I was looking around for my calendar, and after I noticed I didn't have one, I decided to add the widget to a new home screen.
The second I did it, my sgs2 said "Unfortunately, TouchWiz home has stopped." All I can click is OK, and it says the same thing, over and over, even after a reboot.
Any ideas how to get rid of the calendar from clockwork, or does anybody else have another solution.
I can't do anything from within the phone itself. It constantly locks up.
Thank you.
Try dropping a new launchers apk into /system. You will have to push it with adb. Then when you boot select the launcher you just pushed.
When it comes up under application management find the s3 tw launcher and clear it's cache and data. Then it'll work once again without the constant force close.
I actually lucked out when this happened to me because I had a shortcut on my main screen for tibu and got into it before the loop fcs.
Good luck, let me know how it goes.
~PsyCl0ne
Edit: actually was just going to say if you have the flash able zips on your computer open them up in 7zip and see if you can find the s3 launcher, just extract it and push that over adb.

The stock calendar widget is somewhat problematic. Try acalendar from the play store. Works great on ICS (I'm on the same rom as you) and has a more useful widget imho.
