with it's gorgeous screen and perfect size. I had originally planned just to try this phone out while waiting for the Evo3D to drop. I bought an Evo3D to use side by side for a few days, and I ended up returning the Evo. The 4.3" screen just seems too small after using the 4.5, and the screen just cannot in any way compare.
it's too bad Sammy hardware with HTC software isn't possible....that and I wish Sammy would add physical camera buttons
YES! i know how you feel. i change phones like crazy and well i was using my HD2 the other day, even though there is a .2 difference i find it kinda hard to adapt.

I completely agree. My last phone had a camera button on it (the button also acted as a shortcut to start the camera as well), and it was hard to get used to not having a camera button with this phone.
However, everything else about the Infuse just about makes up for it .
Well one the revolutionary new features of iOS 5 that Steve Jobs single handedly came up with is using the volume buttons as a physical camera button. I'm sure we could figure out a way to do that, and we can already pinch zoom on the screen as an alternative zoom.

On the i9000/Captivate forums you've been able to use the power button (the volume keys are already mapped to zooming).
I see no reason a similar mod would not work for Infuse.

I agree the screen is just incredible. I saw my nephew's evo 3d today and was underwhelmed by the screen. Odd because i had inspire 4g and thought the screen was fantastic. i guess the infuse's screen has spoiled me.

Tell me about it. Haha, I've gone through over 15 different high end android phones over the past year, and none of them have compared to the Infuse.. especially in terms of battery life running Infused 1.5. Don't have to charge my phone every night!
I agree this screen size this phone period I can't go any lower every time I pick up another phone it feels small and weird

interesting you like the infuse better, while I agree I didbuse an evo3d and it is much better than I thouht. I love the lock screen, I love the home screen flick scrolling. but it is htc and I hate sense. thouh htc did replace the notification bar with one that has two pages (similar to miui) and some shortcuts. I also did some benchmarks and was both impressed with the open gl and not impressed overall. the qhd resolution will slow the frame rates but it seems the graphics chip has up to 60% more power than ours and it can still get 10-20% better frame rates than our gpu. so the qhd screen doesn't effect the apparent smoothness like it might on the atrix.
now I would never own the phone as it is nand locked (supposedly encrypted this time) and I'm not sure if it will do anything significantly better than anything else. it kills in linpack but that is only a measure of its fpu, just one part of the cpu. I'm not sure how reliable mflops is as a measurement on any modern cpu. you would need to know how much the cpu actually runs floating point in normal operating conditions.
the curious thing is with both these advantages the evo3d gets a mere 1900-2200 in quadrant. that is good out of the box but the atrix does better and the sgs2 kills them both. there is clearly a deficiency or problem somewhere, it may be better to try antutu as a comparison between the dual core chipsets.
this all does make me wonder about any phones not on htc that will have this chip. and also how the chip in the thrill which has our gpu on a dual core will compare. the market is actually getting pretty interesting right now.
I love the 4.5 screen, now if only we can get the screen to go edge to edge on the the galaxy s3 ,and keeping it the same size as the infuse...any bigger is a pain in the pocket!
My wife has the HTC inspire which I can't stand that phone sense makes no sense just like motoblur I've had my captivate since last year and it is truly the best phone since. Samsung finally did something right. I tested the infuse seeing how fast it was I just might make the switch its basically the same phone but the 1.2 ghz will make a big difference. I think Samsung is going to blow everyone out of the water this year.

That however will be a SuperLCD screen and not a self-illuminating Super AMOLED Plus type.
The only screen that will sway Infuse addicts will be one of the upcoming Super AMOLED HD screens for the SG III that will do the qHD resolution. Til then, we stay

I just switched back to ATT from Sprint (Evo 4g) and bought the Inspire with the intent of returning it next month when the Atrix comes out.
I seem to, however, really like the Inspire and am wondering if the Atrix is really worth the additional $100. Besides the higher res (yet smaller) screen, why would I change to the Atrix? Sure it has a dual core Tegra2, but Froyo doesn't even use 2 cores so what am I getting?
I know that the Atrix has a locked bootloader but that isn't a huge dealbreaker for me.
Thoughts?

Honestly I can't say I'm a fan of pentile screens like the Atrix has. Not to mention I read somewhere(cannot verify accuracy)that the Dalvik VM system on Froyo at the very least does not support multithreading so a dual core won't make any difference yet.
Plus, I have had bad experiences with Moto. I'm pretty happy with HTC so far.
Apps built with the NDK can take advantage of the dual core processor. The processor, resolution, ffc, hdmi, and 1080p recording all sound great, but software is more important to me. The Captivate tought me that. Great hardware doesn't mean crap if the software sucks. Sense is a lot better than Motoblur and the locked bootloader downright sucks. HTC is also slightly better about updating their software. Oh, and the dock and laptop are a complete ripoff.

I just did the exact same thing, still waiting for the inspire to arrive though. I came from the Evo and I love HTC products, I think I'll keep it afterall and wait for the next HTC flagship phone.
The Atrix is more future proof than the Inspire with dual core and a gig of ram. Froyo may not take full advantage of dual core, but how about future builds? Gaming will certainly be smoother and with that huge battery I should be able to get through a day of heavy usage. I can't seem to do that with my Inspire unless I turn off most of the things I like about the phone. It's a tough choice, but blur doesn't bother me so I may make the jump.

Quoted for troof. HTC is the manufacturer who seems to get it right.
It looks like the difference that the inspire has a .3 inch bigger/lower resolution screen screen, 8GB less memory, higher MP camera (8MP), has digital compass, has HTC sence (maybe better than momto blur?), has fm radio.
I guess it just depends on what features are important to you. My only real question is about the insire's FM radio. Is it actually functioning out of the box or did att disable it?
Go over to the development threads and check out all of the Roms for the Inspire. Then immediately leave because the Atrix will never have that good of a development community. Crippled software on overpowered hardware will never be as good as quality/variety of software on perfectly capable hardware. Dual core isn't standard yet and the benefits of it have yet to be implemented effectively. When we're running custom roms of the next Android update with an optimized kernel, the Atrix will be stuck waiting for an official update with nothing more than a glorified theme.

I just exchanged my Atrix for an Inspire yesterday.
After rooting and unlocking, adding CM7 and the 1.8Ghz kernel, I can say with 100% confidence that I made the right choice switching.
Although the screen on the Inspire is lower resolution, it looks amazing, much more so than that of the Atrix.
I think everyone over there in the Atrix forum is coming to the conclusion that their phones will probably never see an unlocked bootloader, and are jumping ship because of it.

^This.....I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks so. I think the Atrix display looks horrible. I continually ponder how more people don't make mention of it. I came from a Captivate (which I still have) and the Inspire before I tried the Atrix and its quality leaves A LOT to be desired.
I still have both devices. And I had decided to return the atrix once or twice but cannot pull the trigger because of the hardware. Everything else, is better on the inspire. I feel like I have to force myself to like the Atrix. I've given it a try (a day's run) and each time I went back to the inspire. Hm, I'll see how it plays out.
Via the XDA app for the HTC Inspire
I am extremely confident with my decision to get the inspire. I love the screen and man this thing is fast. Even though the atrix has better specs I really think that the inspire, once rooted and oc'ed is way faster. I pop in to the atrix forums once in a while and it just solidifies my confidence that I got the right phone. Everyone over there is complaining about one thing or another, which wouldnt be that big of deal because Android is so customizable, but that isnt the case with MOTO because of the locked bootloader. Also who really wants to have to wait for official updates? Especially from companies like MOTO and Samsung. I am happy.

Depends what you are looking for. If you are looking for a phone that under-performs but looks great on a stat sheet - Atrix is for you. I had nothing but hate for that phone after just 3 days of using it. Its sluggish, the UI is clunky, animations were horribly slow.
Inspire has a far better screen believe it or not. It has no pixelation that I can even see (atrix had a ton) and the colors are far far far more accurate. The atrix couldnt even do the color yellow.
Atrix - 2/10 stars
Inspire - 9/10
So far on the att website users averaged give both phones 4 out of 5. I have weighed the pros and cons after playing with both of them for about an hour and believe I will go with the inspire for its 4.3 inch screen, faster and more accurate acquisition of GPS during my tests, 8MP camera, FM radio and good old HTC hardware.
I did notice an issue with the inspire that I was playing with where the pull down screen that shows running or recently launched programs was slow to drag left and right. Anyone else notice this?

had atrix for 3 days and for all 3 days tried to full my self i like the phone... nope didnt work. second day into.. dead pixels exchanged to find screen off to the left and actually twisted another one and the same problem, overall the qhd screen is horrible just go ahead and search something in google and look at the smaller text you'll see the pixels are missing . motorola screwed this one completely ; the phone really feels like was put together in some tiny village in 3th world country. side by side inspire feels smoother faster ( ain't no joke) and with iphone build quality.the last feature got my girlfriends attention and trust me she's one of this iphone4 owners that no matter what point you'll make that makes android shine vs iphone she'll tell ya i don't care. and i dont care if the atrix is better with games , pointless feature if u ask me... ill stick with my ps3 for real gaming experience. would be nice to have hdmi out and louder speaker otherwise thats pretty much what's missing. inspire much better phone.
Ok, here's my opinion and comparison between the two, which I waited two weeks handling the sensation before posting.
The G2X was awesome without its fault the first couple days I had it. It was fast and reliable, simple to its core running the stock froyo. I miss the G2X to tell you guys the truth, and would have kept it if issues were solved, but I really couldn't wait months before an update are sent out. Even if updates are sent out it is still a gamble whether or not it will function the way it should. Paying a premium price for a phone should get you a near flawless device that should keep you happy for atleast a year or two, and shouldn't give you so much hassle that you can't use it due to bootloop for a whole day while you are out.
The HTC Sensation, so far, is working flawlessly. The lag people are talking about is pure nonsense. If you do remove most of the widgets that is running when you first turn on the device it should work without any lag, and people shouldn't really have that much widgets running.
Build Quality:
They are pretty much the same here. The G2X does feel more plasticky in the back, but it didn't really annoy me. The only thing about the sensation I didn't like are the power and volume buttons. They look like they will fall off any minute compared to the G2X which looked solid.
Screen:
The screen on the G2X does pop out more compared to the Sensation, but the resolution fares much better like it should on the latter device. I have to say the screen on the Sensation is amazing even under the sunlight. The only annoyance I have is that you have to go under settings to turn on the automatic dimmer because it is not on the power widget. Browsing the web is also better on the Sensation since you can see more with higher resolution. I have not experienced any of the issues they have posted such as dust, and touch sensitivity. Comparing to the G2X the touch sensitivity fares better on the sensation. I remember that sometimes I had to swipe the unlock button twice on the G2X, but haven't had that issue on the Sensation. The new sense UI is cool, that's all and will give you entertainment for 5mins.
Volume:
This is where I saw a really big difference. The G2X is far superior when it comes to the sound of the loudspeaker. I can hear the sensation's notifications just fine, but with the G2X I can hear it without any problem from another room and I can't say the same thing with the HTC. For this amount I would expect HTC to fit a better speaker, although, it doesn't annoy me since I usually have my phone on vibrate.
I like the Sensation, and I think that it is a superior quality to the G2X. Although, I do miss my G2X too.

This is basically my experience. G2x would have been awesome minus bugs, I couldn't wait to find out if they would be fixed. I did that for the vibrant and never again will I..
Sensation is just more reliable... Camera and video camera eat up g2x, I agree the screen on g2x is better looking. No lag on sensation either...... G2x is pimp, but I think reboots are hardware....sensation it is for me. Id come back if the phone was fixed and with gingerbread...
As a person who went from a G2X to a Sensation I agree with pretty much everything you say. I think you got the Sharp panel for your display which is why you think the G2X pops more. The AUO panel found in done Sensations is super bright with vibrant colors that pop almost as much as a Super AMOLED. I have handled 4 Sensations and trip of them have been laggy due to the person keeping the UI animations, weather animation and a HTC widget on every page. The Sensation I have only has the click widget with 4 pages worth of icons and it is buttery smooth.
Tell me if you notice a difference in these areas.
-App speed: I have found that most apps load and interact faster on the Sensation such as Google Maps which loads and zooms twice as fast than it does on the G2X.
-Flash Videos: Play smoother on the Sensation.
-Contacts app: Scroll faster than on the G2X which would stutter a little bit. Also my contacts pictures on my G2X would take a second to load when scrolling but they are instantly there as I scroll on the Sensation.
-Display: After looking at the Sensation for a couple days, do the icons and peters look fuzzy on the G2X?
All in all. I think once we get the Sensation rooted and this bloatware off of it, this phone will be a super beast.

I don't think I could ever go back to any device with a resolution less then QHD. I looked at the G2X last night and the icons/letters looked fuzzy.
If you display isn't better than the G2X's then try returning it for one with a AUO panel which almost pops as much as Super AMOLED. You probably have the Sharp panel.

I am curious about this. The unit I played with look like garbage compared to my G2x. The contrast was horrible on the Sensation. Washed out blacks and poor visibility in sunlight. I was not aware there are two different panels available. Is there a manufacturing date to look for? How can you tell before you purchase if you are getting the good panel?

I didn't really say that the display is bad compared to the G2X. The only reason I say this is because I was looking at the display through maybe 60-75% brightness to save battery, plus I don't want to get blinded. Full brightness then yes sensation does look really good.

Isn't 768mb vs 512mb of RAM Apples to Oranges?
Isn't a CPU clocked at 1.2 vs 1.0 Apples to Oranges?
Fact of the matter is not two devices are alike and they people will always compare Apples to Oranges. Just because both devices are running on 2.3 doesn't mean they can be compared then. There will still be other differences so I I don't ever see a Apples to Apples test.

Well sure, we can compare iOS to Android... but with Android, there are lots of optimizations in GB could make a big difference in numbers.
A good test is Stock G2x and Stock Sensation (2.2.2 vs 2.3.3) just as a good base. The true test comes when both are running official versions of the same software (2.3.3 vs 2.3.3).
GPU Accelerated OS parts aren't even included until GB so the G2x should feel faster on GB.
Even a G2x CM7 test wouldn't be fair because while they are on the same OS, CM has always had lower numbers (for some reason).
CM7 on Sensation and G2x would be a perfect test.

Agree. The best comparison for me is both phones right out of the box since we can't get apples to apples until GB is released for G2x.
Why does it HAVE to be apples to apples?
I have a T-mobile contract for another 6 months. I want the best phone on that T-mobile contract I can get. I am going to compare every T-mobile phone to every T-mobile phone and choose the best one for me. Its about comparing one device that is available to you to another device that is available to you. If I can root it and load a custom ROM on it to make it better I will consider that as best I can in my decision making... because it is available to me. Also, if something changes about a device and makes it a better option later on I will have to weigh that and consider switching because what is available to me changed.

I am enamored with the Sensation and I will be enamored when the Hercules gets released. I still play with my G2X and still do like it. There are some games I can't play on my Sensation that I love playing on the G2X and I still use the G2X to get my hack on.
Just because I extensively used both devices side by side (unlike most of the people here) and decided that the Sensation was the better all around device due to a number of reasons doesn't mean I don't like the G2X anymore and for that matter doesn't mean I don't use it anymore.
I have already stated the things the G2X does better than the Sensation. If those reasons were enough to use it as my main device then I would return the Sensation in a heart beat as I am not tied to either one. I understand some people are tied to the G2X and will defend it until there contract runs out but quite frankly, I could give a two ****s less about defending devices just because I own them. The things I think the G2X does better might be important to you and that's why you choose to use it. The categories the Sensation does better in are more important to me and is why I use it as my daily driver.
Bottom line. I still use my G2X and my Nexus S for that matter every day and until I stop using them, I will not stop browsing there respected forums.
By the way. I guess you didn't see my post yesterday saying good things about the G2X...uh?

+1 my friend. This is exactly how I feel. When it comes down to it. NOTHING is going to be apples to apples. It's always oranges in the mobile world and people have an excuse for everything. Compare the available devices no matter what kind of fruit they are and just go with it.
I will say I honestly love both devices. I had 2 g2x's and my daughter has one. I traded one of them in a trade for a sensation and the 2nd one I had sent back to LG for repair(should be here friday) I will admit I do miss my G2X a bit. I'm looking forward to getting my other one back and restoring it to the way my other one was before I traded it off

It looks promising with awesome camera and dualcore
it seems too small for me, and motoblur gets more and more disappointing each release :/
the camera seems nice, but 1 feature isnt enough to turn me...if anything, im waiting for the hercules
also, while there was a time when i exclusively used hardware keyboards, they just seem unecessary these days, and i prefer a thinner profile on 4.3"4.5" screen

nope, cant go back to a smaller screen and lower res after having a 4.3 inch Qhd, hell my g2x 4" screen seems small to me now(and I thought 4.3 would be too big for me at first) also as much as I love a physical keyboard they reported it's pretty heavy and thick. So just because the camera software is better (which I'm sure we will get a port when we can) and it has a keyboard doesnt mean it's an upgrade as you put it. I would say it's more of a downgrade than an upgrade IMO hehe It's got the same amount of ram and same speed processor as the sensation as well.

i agree 100%, the app WILL be ported days after the phone is released (thanks moto for unlocked bootloader ;P) and this is the real benefit to this phone, the camera hardware is practically the same as S4G/SGSII

Umm isn't it an HTC phone? It's running Sense 3.0
Anyway, I'd really like the camera they put in there, but on the Sensation.
Umm....since when is the mt4g slide made by Motorola with blur....? It's an HTC device running Gingerbread with Sense 3.0. Also, it has a better camera lense for a wider viewing angle.

motorblur? sense 3.0? wth? I was under the impression the mt4gs was shipping with iOS5!!
considering almost all of the new features in iOS5 are stolen from android, that actually wouldnt surprise me
EDIT: off-topic my bad...continue
As someone who upgraded to the Sensation from the MT4G, I'll pass on this one. With a smaller, lower resolution screen, as well as appearance that's almost identical to the MT4G, this is certainly not an upgrade. Taking into consideration what's already been stated about the camera software, the Sensation is a better phone. Moreover, why downgrade from Sense 3.0 (which I happen to love) to mySense?
No way.I love my sensation.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA Premium App
You can't upgrade from a Sensation to a myTouch 4G Slide.....thats a downgrade.....well in my opinion anyways!
I always loved N1 and DHD for the Sense UI and overall quality, I didn't buy a Sensation because mainly of root, death grip, speaker ringtones and screen under sunlight...
Ok!
Now that it finally got root (thanks for the devs) I still don't know if the other things can be dealt with:
-Death grip occur in which situations? putting the phone on the table will kill wifi?
-Can you ''really'' boot the volume of ringtones via volume+,Equaliser or DSP? or the results are the same as on N1 and DHD meaning just a high treble sound?
-I have read VERY DIFFERENT reports about the screen lisibility under sunlight, my ex-DHD was pratically not usable between 11am and 3pm outdoor, I know sgs2 can do better than Sensation but is it miles better or slightly better?
Of course people who used both phones (sgs2 and Sensation) can have the best answers
I have a sgs2 now and will be getting the sensation on wednesday. I will pm you on how both compares, if I post here it will turn into a flame thread in no time

In answer to your deathgrip question, for me at least, putting in the phone on a table does not kill WiFi. Even putting it on something squishy like a cushion or pillow doesn't kill it Only covering it with your hand kills it really, and who holds their phone like that? That said, it is a slight problem when you hold it in landscape mode
Hey redbull good to see you again!
Did you try a speaker hacking tool like DSP manager? The result is the same as on N1 speaker?
And what about the camera compared to N1,DHD or even Arc?
I hate the pink camera spot on my sgs2, it was also there on DHD but when viewing it on PC it went off...but not with the sgs2 photos (its permanent)
Yeah, good to see you too!
The camera is quite good. No pink spot or anything, which is nice. One thing I have noticed, that when you zoom in, the pictures go slightly blurry. Not sure if this happens on other HTC's, but it's definitely apparent on my Sensation, at least. Could be software; I hope so, because then the CyanogenMod camera app will fix it
I'll try out a speaker hacking tool and report back
OK, so I've tried Audio Manager and Volume+ FREE and both appear to work fine. I've only used the free version of the apps, so you may want somebody who's bought the apps to try too Especially Volume+, with the EQ Settings in the paid version.
EDIT: Just tried Equalizer and that works too
Oh another thing that's annoying on sgs2: there is a lag between when you press the wake button and the screen going on.
Some dudes said it's normal since it's a dual cpu phone, is it the case with Sensation?

For everyday usability i would go for the sensation
i am not bothered if the sgs 2 can load an application a split second faster
Sensation: beutifully designed, aluminium, Sense 3D, Higher resolution
SGS2: UGLY! PLASTIC, Touchwiz (****wiz more like), lower resolution
yea aluminium is good but promotes death grip and what about the volume button falling off?

Swyped from my HTC Sensation
I've always been a Sensation lover but I'll tell you what I feel honestly after using both the phones.
The Sensation is GREAT! It's my baby! The build quality is just perfect! Although the Gorilla glass isn't that powerful as compared to say Galaxy S's or Galaxy S2's I'm pretty sure about that. Other than that, the physical appearance and build quality is the best I guess! HTC excels in physical looks.
The Galaxy S2 is well, quite nicely designed but the quality .. Meh! Plastic? Seriously? Not good. What if it drops from the stairs or something, it'll break.
So we know that Sensation wins in the physical category.
Performance : You may be knowing that the Galaxy S2 is the fastest phone in the world. Well yes, I agree. But the prebuilt UI, touchwiz, is PATHETIC. It's probably the worst company rebuilt UI ever. Even LG's UI sucks. Sensation has sense 3.0 and it's AMAZING BUT if you will be flashing custom ROMS, I'd recommend the Galaxy S2. Galaxy S2 has a much better Dev support according to me as MANY devs have got it for free and many bought it as it's the fastest phone. Although I think Sensation can still beat it in many aspects.
So I'd go for the S2 in this category.
Hardware :
It is been told that the Sensation's hardware is much better as it is 2011's latest technology whereas the Galaxy S2 uses a 2009 or 08, I don't know chip. Although we can clearly see Galaxy S2 beats the Sensation in benchmarks results about which I really don't care. The Galaxy S2 has an nvidia Tegra 2 processor so that means you can get nvidia tegra games from the nvidia tegra marketplace or whatever it's called and SERRRRRRIOUSLY those games are AMAZING.
Other than that : Samsung vs. HTC? .. Umm, HTC DUH'UH.
About service center help and support : I'll go with Samsung (India)
About software update support : HTC, anyday. (So what if the bootloader is unlocked, they are working on it).
Both the phones are great.

6MM people would disagree with you.
I don't get what I am so suppose to be in love with when it comes to the SII vs Infuse 4g.
Now I am strictly comparing the US Specced SII (european I suppose as well since it is the same) vs Infuse 4g.
The infuse has a bigger screen and bigger battery.
The S2 has dual core and a small battery and smaller screen.
So I am going to get dual core eating monster with a smaller battery? Battery life on the Infuse is OK, good, but nothing crazy. The S2 must be awful?
Now if we were getting the 1.5ghz dual core with some form of LTE I could see a little more attraction.
personally though I'll be olding off for something better.
Dual core
1 gig of ram
It's only slightly smaller - actually feels better in your hand.
Gingerbread 2.3.4 from the carrier
Better GPS lock
I'm still wondering if it has the chip needed for voodoo sound though...
It's not a huge difference but you get gingerbread out the box, touchwiz 4.0, dual core, 1080p recording, hdmi(infuse as well), thx soluscado totally slipped my mind, etc. The infuse is ok but i'm probably getting rid of mine. The checkered loading is driving me crazy.
I agree with the OP. The dual core proc seems like a "meh" addition, especially considering the battery trade-off. I just don't use TouchWiz anyway, so that's irrelevant. The bigger screen is a BIG deal to me, and any video I take with my phone is displayed on my phone, so 1080p recording is irrelevant. I'm pretty sure you get HDMI out on the Infuse as well, but I have no use for that either. And the Gingerbread enhancements are so minor (to me) that I really couldn't care less whether it's available OOB or not.

Yea no point. I'll stick with my infuse until samsung releases an lte phone on att like ours or the s2. Or wait for googles next phone and hope that is lte as well.
Dual core is not enough reason to upgrade, I want real 4g speeds.
Infuse running Serendipity VII
If the GPS chip is better than that of the infuse then I'm switching. I use the GPS more than anything else on the phone and that is a deal breaker for me. If the infuse had a perfect working GPS, I'd take it over the s2 anyday.

I know this topic has come up a few times in the month or so I've owned my infuse and watched these forums, and I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering if it's worth the switch to the AT&T-branded SGSII. Honestly the thing I'd have wanted most from the European SGSII was the physical Home button, but that didn't make it over here (needs more patent litigation).
I do agree that the .2" off the screen is actually a bonus; 4.3" screens feel a lot nicer when using to chat--somehow the AT&T SGSII is more than .2" off in both dimensions (4.96" x 2.60" vs. 5.2" x 2.8" according to Samsung). Still, a fifth of an inch either way isn't a deal-breaker for me either way.
The dual core SGSII processor is obviously the big difference, and I have yet to see anyone post a compelling, non-anecdotal reason to have a second core on a phone. I don't know many people who have felt their Infuse was insufficiently responsive, and no game I've run has had any noticeable lag on the Infuse, though my experience is hardly extensive.
Does anyone know how much RAM the AT&T SGSII has? If it had the full gig that the Euro version has, that'd also be a nice bonus, as I have managed to fill up the sub-half-gig that the Infuse has available.
The last feature I think deserves mention is NFC, which the ATT SGSII does have, reportedly. Not that I really expect to be paying by NFC any time soon, but what are we if not nerds who want more features on our phones?

There isn't a single thing that the Infuse beats the SGS II in. It ties in a few places like camera, but that's it. The SGS II is the best Android phone in existence, and the Infuse probably wouldn't have even been the best of 2010.

I don't think i can agree with that. I havent yet used one, but i cam say that having the largest and brightest display on the market is a huge plus for me. Regardless of whether it may seem like a better deal, i feel that the sgs2 is basically a smaller infuse. It looks the same and does all the same things. Really can't count gb as a plus either since we already have it on the infuse and an official version by the time the sgs2 is readily available to most. I can't see any advantage to 1080p either since it will just eat up more of that inferior battery. Just my 2 cents.
Edit: on top of all that, i don't know why u said 2010? you meant 2011? even if that was so i find that hard tp believe also. Considering that feature for feature, the Infuse was the best overall android device you could buy here in the U.S. when it was released. That said, the only real reason the Infuse hasn't out sold the competition is the lack of hype behind it and a very quiet release by Samsung. Quite unlike the sgs2 which is released first in their most local market. It obviously is pointed towards the more general technophile audience. The infuse i feel was directed towards the huge media phone freaks.
