I am on this rom [Rom][ODIN] Stock Gingerbread 2.3.3 Deodexed + Root KF2. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1146145) For some reason I am not able to reboot into Clockwork Module Recovery. On ROM Manager when i reboot it gets stuck on the Samsung galaxy S 4g logo and i have to do volume up volume down and power to get to the rainbow screen and boot into gingerbread. I recently replaced the update.zip and pushed the recovery file into /system/bin using ADB, based on the CWM Final Samsung galaxy S 4g thread. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1099374). Is this why it won't work. Do I need to revert to the old update.zip and recovery file..if so where can i download that? Sorry if this has been answered somewhere I am still noob to this. Thanks.

There is currently no cwm support for gingerbread as of this moment
but to get into the stock recovery for gingerbread use adb goto your command prompt and
cd/
cd androidsdk (or android-sdk, whatever your file is named)
cd tools
adb reboot recovery
I think its because of the boot loaders it's been addresses in the original threads for the ginger bread roms as well as other threads. Try a search and you should find answers to this: no cwm for ginger bread yet

I Just rooted my Sidekick 4G and its great but I want to install a rom on it . When I use rom manger and try to get clockwork recovery it says I downloaded but when I boot into recovery It dosent give me the option to choose the rom zip file . Please help
Has anyone got the new ClockworkMod Recovery installed?
I got S-OFF/recovery using revolutionary (http://revolutionary.io/) and it all went well. When it finished, it asked if it could install Clockworkmod Recovery, and I let it, all good. Then I got root through flashing the su zip file.
Then installed Rom Manager and it said that I needed to install ClockworkMod via Rom Manager and the one that was offered was newer (5.0.2.0)... it asked me to confirm the device, and so I selected HTC Slide 4G and it downloaded, and flashed successfully.
but now when I boot into recovery, I just get the 'T-Mobile myTouch 4G slide' boot screen, and no recovery. I have to pull the battery to get it to come back.
Is there something wrong with the Rom Manager version of ClockworkMod recovery?
I flashboot installed the 4.0.0.8 to get CWM back....
ps - is there a better place to report Rom Manager bugs?
Ours is a custom version. You can't use the one from the App. You should look for Paul's version 4.0.0.9

Use the unrooted file and flash with cwm. Then use nvflash to restore factory recovery. Your phone will be 100% stock.
