I made a thread in the General Accessories forum (cuz it fits there best), but wanted to really post it for Nexus One forum folks.
We can make our own Docks using a tool called the "MakerBot"
See the thread here
here is a sample of something for the iPhone...so why couldn't we start with something for the Nexus?

It appears that imagination is the limit!
And let's face it, the Nexus One users are the best at imagining what they need!
I think it's a great idea, if you can come up with some cost effective and at least as attractive as what HTC has slated... that being said, I don't know what functionality the dock pins on our phones have provided yet.
Hopefully someone with CAD experience will chime in. I imagine you could make a killing marketing these overseas as well.

My primary job is mechanical design using autocad and solid works... maybe i should email this fella
I was thinking about a cool app and an idea popped into my head. I can't code for **** and don't have the will power to learn since I have other things on my plate.
The app would function like the Overlay Skin (Free App) in the market. It's basically a live wallpaper that displays info. Here's a screenie of Overlay Skin on my Evo. The skin basically tells me the time and date and doesn't hurt my battery life.
The app I was thinking about was if someone can make a Live Wallpaper Skin (just like what Overlay Skin is) and have the background change automatically according to the temperature of your phone.
I think it would be a cool thing to code. Does that make sense to anyone?
Yes it makes sense and I am sure someone out there might take a look at it. But it would take a lot of coding to make it do what you want. Plus it would only make sense to have it display more info such as mA, battery % and clock so that it could completely clear the task bar. More coding than I am comfortable with and not sure many people would pay for it, but just maybe.

It would be awesome. Hopefully someone its reading this.
I'd pay for it if it were in the $1-$5 range.

There is already an app like this on the market, and if fact it looks a lot like the screen you posted.
Ok.. What is the name of the app?
I don't know if people would buy it. Such a niche. Maybe if it were cheap enough. There are enough people wanting their names our there for free that charging someone for an app like that seems steep. Just my $.02.

Well if they charged for it I'd buy it. I paid for Launcher Pro and many other apps so it isn't a big deal. I don't mind paying for hard work because I know it isn't easy. Plus you have to keep up with the demand of people wanting new features. I think this app would have the potential to be big and very customizable.

I also paid for Launcher Pro. People should expect to give away work for free until they make a name for themselves. I do and it works. People can feel free to charge whatever they want for it, but this guys sounds like he's in it for the money...not the hard work. Hard work takes time and pays off in the long run, not right away. Good apps should cost money, brand new ones (like this one) should make a name, then charge. Just my $.02 again. I am not against capitalism, nor am I against hard work. When you are in it for the money, the product gets sacrificed...

I don't personally agree being that there are thousands of app developers out there.
Can someone develop this you can make it customizable to show date, time, memory, sd card space, etc.

what the app
I've just updated my Payday Android app and I'd like to start a new project. As they say, necessity is the mother of all invention so I'm asking you guys. What kind of app would you most benefit from? What app have you longed for that just isn't out there yet, or if its out there and doesn't meet your needs. I want you guys to send me PM's or Email at [email protected]gmail.com with your ideas for an Android application. I'll take suggestions for the next week or so and pick several realistic ones. I'll then add those to a poll and let you guys vote on which one you want, or the one you would get the most use out of. The person who made the original suggestion will get a special prize and a free copy of the app once its finished.
In the case of more than one person suggests the Same winning App, the first person who contacted me with the idea will get the prize, however everyone who contacted me with the winning idea will get a copy of it free.
And please send me a PM or Email because I've read too many articles about forum lurkers on here snatching ideas, so this should help deter that somewhat. So let the suggestions roll. Thanks guys.
I think it's best idea
I know that people looking for call recording app on Froyo (Android 2.2).
There is idea that OS don't let this, but, maybe, you so good programmer that is not prolem for you.
Ill add it to the submit list, thanks.
So, what you are saying is you want a bunch of ideas on new apps from people and you want them all to your self, by offering up some free t-shirt or something?
Nice. Wish I'd thought of it.
I'm thinking a tax helper, for like tax season lol. And help with balancing your checkbook and junk. Sounds good.

I admit, I haven't had the big android flagship phones.. But I've used them plenty, done my research, etc, and while I am impressed and excited for the future updates to come, I must say the iPhone 5s has intrigued me. Build quality is good, I like the OS, even though not open source, it's so smooth and apps work fine with its processor and other insides. Androids ROMs and hacks interest me greatly. Which is why I'll be buying a new nexus 7 soon. But I do want an iPhone. Guess after I have one I'll see which OS I truly like. Guess the reason for me making this thread is I want to be persuaded to stay.. If there's good enough reason to. Don't get me wrong, I love android, but I really like iphones as well. I'm very conflicted at the moment.

Nobody is going to persuade you. What you buy should be completely your choice. If you want to try the iPhone, I don't see any reason why you shouldn't get one. iPhones are by no means bad phones.
No need to persuade, do what u want. Waiting for Nexus 5 myself. IPhone doesn't intrigue me, what do you find intriguing about it?

To be honest, I don't get the point of this thread.. :| . If it is your last android phone, then it is ! Big deal. Why create a thread about this ?
Nobody cares, i guess. No one really give's a ---- about your problem. But dude, come to think of it, why don't you just ask yourself what made you love android vs iphone vice versa, then write it down in a list then compare and decide. Done! Problem solved!
No need for threads like this.
iPhone threads usually don't fair very well here:laugh::silly:

Can any one suggest me is it gud toh buy xolo phone?

It's up to you. Google some reviews for the exact model you are thinking of buying and see what others say.
It depends on your budget.
Buying phones from lesser known brands doesn't give you much in terms of support and customization. For more mainstream brands you can find tens if not hundreds of people that are working on ROMs and customization options or that can help you should you have any issues.
Going down a lesser known path might leave you more open and isolated than you may wish to be.
Vitesse.
