you can use ZDBOX, you can download it for free from market.android
it show you battery and data usage in addition to that ,it has Application killer function and Uninstaller , and you can use it to move application from main phone storage to SD.

Whats Best way to free up the ram???

Whats best way to free up the more ram? I have root and froze the safe stuff. The lowest I can get free is about 185MB / 328MB.
Rooting and freezing apps doesn't give you more RAM, since there is only 512MB of RAM and the OS takes part of that to run.
You can free up internal app storage space, by deleting bloatware, or cut/paste the bloatware into a folder on the SDcard (I call mine VZWBloat) and that will save you space.
You can run a task killer to kill off apps that you don't need but you have to be careful, Android does need certain apps to be available in the background and it will just reopen automatically and that will put them into a cycle and drain the battery.

Freeing up that much RAM is probably detrimental to the overall efficacy of the memory management system, I've never seen mine at 185MB, and if I did I'd worry something was wrong.
If you really want to free up more RAM, for no benefit whatsoever, use something like Advanced Task Killer and set it to allow killing of the lowest level processes it can, then kill everything. Bam, tons of free'd up RAM. Again, this has pretty much no benefit whatsoever and for a short time will probably make your phone more sluggish and slow.
In Android (Linux) free memory is considered wasted memory.
That said, I remember on my galaxy S that the phone ran snappier when I tweaked the memory management of the phone.
Task killers are generally considered a bad idea on android, so I would avoid using one of them to free up memory. However, there is a poorly named app called auto killer that is actually just an interface to tweaking androids built and memory management. I recommend giving it a try, here's a link: http://market.android.com/details?id=com.rs.autokiller
Note that it is not a task killer per se, it is just a tweak for android phone memory management schemes.
I haven't used it on my droid charge yet, but play with the settings maybe starting with aggressive. Good luck and let us know how it works for you.

I don't have my phone with me right now, but you need to make the folder read/write and then hit menu and multi-select or select multiple. This thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1082588 shows what is ok to freeze, but I am not familiar enough with those to say you can remove all of them. Typically I would look for the Verizon specific apps, games like lets gold, guitar hero etc. If you remove anything related to touch wiz (widgets) you need to remove both of the associated files. I am pulling this from memory on my previous TB.
These are the ones I recognize, but the others in that long list I would like to see better clarification of what they are and how they are tied into the TouchWiz UI so we don't get errors. Please exercise caution when doing this.

BY FAR.... BAR NONE.... The best way to free up memory and keep it free without messing with task killers is to use a program called startup auditor. This app prevents apps from starting up automatically on startup and throughtout the day without interfering with normal app processes. You can shut down or enable any app you want.
Even cooler, if you select the option menu and hit disable all, it only disables programs that won't interfere with the phone operation so it knows which apk's are critical for phone integrity. PRETTY COOL!!!

DON"T USE A TASK KILLER ON ANY SAMSUNG DEVICE. See other post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1106265
I wasn't really condoning the use of task killers. I disagree with them 99% of the time (there are some edge cases). I just gave the OP an option if he really, really wanted to for no reason whatsoever.
@OP: I would recommend leaving the pasture gate open.

There is an app called Greenify. Its available on Play store.
Just check it out.
It also helps to maintain the juice of the battery.. !!
To Free Ram
A more easy way to delete a minimum of 1gb of space which by doing so also frees up ram is to delete the dump state log cat. See every time your device has an error or force close issue, date is collected / written to the log file and this can take up ane enormous amount of space which when space is low also means your device user more ram. To do this go to your dial pad and type in *#9900#
This will automatically brings up options and then just choose to delete the dump state/log cat. Let it clear for a few minutes and that's it's. Try seeing how much space you have before and after and you'll realise this is a blessing.

[GUIDE] Ways To Speed Up Your Device

Are you tired of the fact that your device is lagging a lot when switching between screens or in gaming ??? Here is a little guide to speed up your device in most cases
1. Most common thing which is now popular with lovely pico owners is the new cute_price's oc kernel technique which could overclock your device without harming your nand, which we call as nand burn. cute_prince's thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2337886
In this case you can use these kernels- Jarvis kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2325345
Pandora kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2238754
2. you can use some task killers and an app called ram manager free & pro versions: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smartprojects.RAMOptimizationFree
this app helps to clear all the task running in background and freeing up maximum ram, you also get different profiles like more free memory, hard multitasking, hard gaming etc.
3. You can use an app called Greenify: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oasisfeng.greenify
this app hibernates apps that are not in use to maximize free ram space and boosts up the speed of the device.
4. Reboot your device atleast once in 2 days so to load all the processes and apps to bring back the smoothness.
5. clear cache under recovery of the device
6. as mentioned above you can try some kernel that can overclock your device uptill 800mhz or higher (higher the speed, maximum chances of nand burn ) you don't need to create any special partitions for these kernels.
7. don't move data to sd-ext if you have a sd card partition, this decreases the speed for loading apps and lags your device.
8. Avoid live wallpapers because these acquire ram as well as cpu and drain battery with a faster speed.
9. Disable auto sync of data.
10. Disable unwanted apps to freeze the process completely
11. Uninstall unwanted apps so as to increase internal storage and increase performance (menu loading time and os loading time)
12. Decrease use of widgets because these use hell lot of ram and cpu usage.
To determine which process is running the most in background, better use better battery stats app from the play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.asksven.betterbatterystats
13. Hit Thanx the most important thing that would speed up your device
Reply some other techniques that you use and i am gonna add them too, these were my own ways to boost up
I don't use scripts because they don't help a lot (no offence )

[GUIDE] Maintaining Your Canvas 2 Smartphone

Hello Everyone, As we know, developing support for our Canvas 2 is increasing day-by-day and there are lots of Custom ROM’s and Kernels available. They bring lots of performance improvements and added features.
While Flashing ROM’s and doing modifications, it is important for everyone to know, how to keep our Canvas 2 in good health and in proper working condition. Keeping this in mind, here are my few tips and suggestions that I hope, will benefit everyone.
Preventing Data loss while installing any mod or ROM:
It is recommended to take Nandroid backup before you flash anything on your handset. If something goes wrong, you can always restore this backup, and prevent your data loss, instead of flashing whole ROM again and losing your apps and data.

Backing up your private data regularly to ensure it is up to date:
Always take a backup of Your private data (Messages, Contacts, Call Logs) using Titanium Backup or on PC, using software like Moborobo and WonderShare MobileGO.
All Contacts can be exported as a single .vcf file from Import/Export menu in Contacts app.
Also, You can use ‘Backup Data to XML’ option in Titanium Backup to seamlessly backup and restore Bookmarks, Call logs, Messages and Wi-Fi access points.

Everyday Use (Cleaning cache, Maintaining RAM, App Locking)
Using third party apps like Clean Master is a good idea to clean cache stored on device like browser cache, icon cache. Also, using lightweight launchers such as Nova, Disabling live wallpapers, helps to keep the consumption of RAM in control and prevent drain of battery.
App lockers, provide protection on per-app basis. You can even prevent uninstalling and Force Stopping of apps by enabling the app locker as Device Administrator if it supports this functionality.

Advanced Maintenance (Backing up IMEI, Using Swapper)
Back up your IMEI using MobileUncle MTK Tools app. It will create a file named ‘IMEI.bak’ on your SD Card for restoring later in case it is lost. If the Kernel supports, you can use swap to increase the RAM. Download Swapper or Swapper 2 from play store and set the necessary size of swap file. Keep in mind that excessive use of swap degrades the life of SD card. It is recommended to use a SD card with Class 6 or above to avoid performance issues.

Hope this information will help!
A Good Share
Thanks for sharing this info Bro,
I am sure we all have our own invented ways of maintaining our phones so I do hope that we all will continue updating this thread on a regular basis with our valuable & working inputs
With regards to maintaining our phone, I always keep it on Airplane mode instead of turning it off once I am in the office coz Camera Phones are not allowed in my office, now by doing this I save a bit of battery which is consumed in rebooting the phone

Yes, You are right! Airplane mode does save a lot of battery! I also use it whenever i'm in No Coverage area or travelling.
Rebooting each and every time takes a significant toll on battery. Keeping the phone on Flight mode is generally a wise choice.

Using scripts to increase ram and making swap file in cache partition has got much more advantages than swapper.
AND SWAPPER 2.. DON'T USE THAT.

Yes, I'm beginning to wonder myself. Because Swapper 2 caused my handset to reboot thrice and SD card became unstable. Also there were more lags when using swapfile on SD card. Would you like me to update this in OP? Or discuss here?

Lag issue.
Hey Guys,
After reading many posts, and trying myself, I found that using Xposed Framework makes our device a bit slow to perform and laggy.
Certain slow-downs occur after applying a xtheme.
Can anyone comment on that?
it does

1) Clean Master
2) Greenify would hibernate apps so that they are not running in the background
3) If you rooted I suggest gravity box. It has the RAM monitoring deal where you hit the "recents" key and depending on where you put it it will show used RAM vs unused. Since this device has 2GB of RAM it is not recommended to constantly be killing the apps in the background.
4) you could download minimalistic text there are all kinds of things that it could tell you and as the title says it's minimal. or just look in storage. Also look into zooper, it has a predefined layout for sys information.

Hi, what the system name for data usage ?

i debloaded my oneplus 7 pro but i dont know which system apps its for data usage, i need that app for data usage if you can help me ?
