Ok how about sharing your most extreme mods, just as a point of intrest please post pics of your modified pda casing or detailsof some wacky internal mods
I'd just like to see how you can go and some off the wall stuff, maybe others may also find this intresting
thanks
Who has gone to far and how far os too far?
Well it's as extreme as I've gone, but I bet there are much more adventourus people out there than me...
First I enlarged the speaker hole on my apache, then it became, upgrade the actual speaker...
Posted near the bottom of the page at:

Second took the nice extendable stylus from a i730 and modded the apache to fit it!
I am currently working on some mods on my Magician, new paintjob, possibly some LED ligting along the edges, and some wire mesh, and tubed edging to give it an industrial look and feel.
Things are going slowly on it at the moment though as I am trying to find some silver or black paint that dries with an unusual texture, and some rubberised finish paint for the sides, and buttons.
When I find those, the rest will come along quite quickly. I have my Dremmel and drills at the ready
sounds great I'd really like to see the pics when your done,
btw I have a krussel case for a compact, your welcome to it as its just sat in a draw since my compact fired and got swopped for an exec
great what you've done but takes to guts to start messing with your device
Well thanks for the offer, but it's not going to fit in the cases after due to the mods down the side, and even if I don't go that far, I will want it seen, not shoved in a case hehe.
I decided to do the paint mod because I messed up the front after trying to remove the Orange logo, even when the paint was off, it had a discoloured square, so I tried a little harder, and ended up taking the anodised coating off, so I thought, to hell with it, I will strip it down, and paint it with something cool.
Then I thought as it's in pieces anyway, I may as well do something else with it and make it unique.
Will see how it goes though.
Hi
Am sorry if this has been mention before but this site is sooo huge I come on here clean shaven and by time I finished have a full beard
OK, my post - Today I just bought a screen protector and it will not sit flat on my phone around the edges, due to the concave or convex whichever I mean one of them the area around the edges is not flat it kind of curls up ever so slightly
Has anyone seen this and bought a different one?
Thanks for your help

This site is huge, but thats why we have different forums for each phone.. And THEN we break them down into categories (general, accessories, development) and then we break them down EVEN MOAR into separate threads. You could have read just ONE thread on screen protectors and seen this answer.
But to answer your question... No, I bought the hTC protectors off a UK seller on ebay and put them on, and pressed real hard with a slim credit card, which was inside a microfiber cloth, up against the edges of the phone and it seemed to work.
You could go read the FIRST POAST of 'the best screen protectors' and he'll teach you how to do it.
I'm replacing the screen and digitizer. Whilst prying off the battery I have torn the outer foil-like material around the battery ... see pic attached.
1. Is it safe to seal it back up with a bit of electrical tape (or otherwise) and put it back in the phone?
2. The smell coming from the battery is quite pleasant. Am I going to go crazy and have tea parties with cheshire cats? Should I go to the hospital immediately?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
The touch screen glass of my Nexus 5 is broken but the screen is working absolutely fine. I need to change the glass of the phone but customer care charges me Rs. 8000 (INR) for replacing the whole LCD DIsplay. Should I go buy a duplicate glass from ebay for approx Rs 1500?
Anyone had experience of how the quality of duplicate glass is would be of great help. Thanks a lot.
Get LG to do it. Replacing the touch screen is not simple like replacing the whole screen as it's bonded to it. You are not likely to get oem glass
The screen and glass are connected in one piece isnt it?
@ OP I have already moved the same thread from general to Q&A. Please do not create duplicate threads in future and use the original thread here.

I posted this in the screen protector thread but since so many people have had this problem with TGSPs on the 6P I thought it deserved its own thread. After applying my Intelliarmor TGSP I noticed, like many others, that the lower right corner had an area that was not sticking properly. I am not sure whether this is due to a defect in the screen or the screen protector but this seems to be a common problem. After not being able to get it to stay down by using pressure overnight I decided to try to see if heat would work. I took a hair dryer and turned it on high and focused the air on the unruly corner and heated it up for about 30 seconds while making sure the phone did not get too much heat. After the TGSP was pretty warm I removed the heat and held the corner down till it was cool. Low and behold this worked to get it to stick! Not sure if it subtly allowed the screen protector to bend to the screen or if the heat allowed the adhesive to bond properly, but either way it worked and has held for the past day. If you are having this problem give it a try. Can't hurt.
I had the same issue with my nexus 5. I did the exact same thing to fix it too.
I had this issue with my nexus 6p except on the top right corner. No amount of heat and pressure fixed it. I ended up doing an rma. The screen protector went down perfect on the new phone.
There are no females in my household, nor do I know of any close friend females that is within 50km from me even tho I live in a megacity, so I have to now go to Kmart to buy a hair dryer. Damn you intelliArmor.
It's just too risky to use a candle or a lighter.

Sounds like you need to get more than a hair dryer while you are out.

Walmart / Lowes / Home Depot / etc sell inexpensive heat guns. More useful than a hair dryer, I'd bet. Just be aware: They get hotter than a hair dryer.
I don't have any issues with Skinomi TGSP
I tried this two days ago for about 30 seconds then another 30 seconds about 3 times total. It helped and the lift is only in the very small corner but I still see it. I will wait a couple of days to see if it gets worse. Then I'll try it again. Maybe longer time, just didn't want to burn or damage the screen with heat. Don't really want to waste my spare that I have just to fix this corner thing. Is yours lifting at all? I will request replacements from intelliarmor when they get there thinner glass I suppose. Not sure if thinner is weaker. Sounds like it would certainly be.

No curved screen on this device, likely that the one you received was a defective one. Sounds like a pain if you're going to have to resort to using heat to keep it down!
Question, I'm new to Tempered glass. MY TGSP is lifting in the bottom left corner. I'm going to order a new one. Anything special I need to do in taking the old one off to avoid damaging the screen? I still have it on the phone. Appreciate any advice, new to this.

No, just lift it at one edge, it should come off easily.
I can recommend the TGSP by Orzly. Sticks very well to each corners and is pretty slim.

Thanks, I just wanted to double check. I just ordered the Supershieldz because of free shipping and it is a 2 pack. About every TGSP I look at has good and negative comments.
