If you get the NS for ATT. Use the Nexus S dev section. They're slightly different, but many of the ROMs are cross-compatible. Just don't look at the NS4G dev forums (dont flash anything from there either)
thanks for the info!

You're welcome!
Could someone please tell me which phone I need to purchase if I want it for Sprint. I think it is the Nexus S 4G SPH-D720 but I also see people selling a Nexus S 4G i9020. Is the SPH-D720 just Sprint's name for the i9020?
I just don't want to make the mistake of buying a phone I think will work on Sprint when actually the seller was just trying to get as many damn keywords in as possible for ebay searches.
Also, do all Sprint Nexus phones have the Super Amoled screen?
Thanks.
The D720. And I do believe that all the Sprint NS come with SAMOLED. I know mine did. And coming from the Shift it's flat out amazing =)
All Nexus S models are AMOLED exept I9023.....
Sph-d720 is the sprint nexus s 4G as was mentioned, and that sph is significant. Don't go ordering a samsung d720 or you will be a very unhappy camper.

hi there
currently i have htc mytouch 4g and was planning to change my htc mytouch 4g
i was planning for taking nexus s is this recommended upgrade ???
is nexus s 4g available on gsm career???
what are the main cons of nexus s ???
please help me to decide i have shortlisted 2 phones htc sensation and samsung nexus s
I have never owned a sensation/mytouch but have made the following observations on the Nexus S.
Pros: unlockable boot loader, massive number of quality custom ROMs, quick OTA updates, quality hardware
Cons: None yet
Don't get the nexus s if your contract is 24 months, in two years this phone will be outdated a lot

No the 4G version is only for Sprint. No GSM carriers. I would wait for the Galaxy Nexus to come to the US as a GSM.
So excuse my ignorance in advance. I am one of those few people on the planet that actually has decent coverage where I live with Sprint, so thats why I dont buy a GSM addition of this device. My question is are there any roms for the Sprint addition of this device? I have been through a ton of threads and do not see anything specifically mentioning Sprint. I had the Nexus S and the Galaxy Nexus and the development was there for those devices, of course not to the extent that the gsm carriers received but it was there. I am getting that Nexus twitch but I dont want to buy the Sprint version if there isnt any development for it. Thanks all, in advance.
No questions in general forums.
The Nexus 5 is just the Nexus 5 no matter what provider it's running off.

There is no Sprint edition of the Nexus 5. The same singular Nexus 5 has radios compatible with Sprint (CDMA/EVDO), AT&T and T-Mobile (GSM/UMTS/HSPA+), and LTE for all three. Simple as that.
There is only a North America version (D820) and a European/Rest-of-the-world version (D821). Difference is only the LTE bands.
Google did it right with the Nexus 5, no variants of the Nexus. They're all the same:thumbup:
Hi all,
I picked up a nexus 5 recently which is a Norh American model no isn't compatible with the 3 network in the uk. My own fault but I'm pretty new to android and crap on the techy side! Is there any workaround so that I can access my 4g network? Would really appreciate any help.
Thanks all ;0)
