I'm sorry if this has been answered somewhere, but I did a search and couldn't find any info:
One of the cool features of ICS was that we could listen to our voicemail messages right in the call log. I have played around in the settings and haven't been able to find how to enable this feature. Does anybody know? I'm using AOSP's v.41 with Android 4.0.3 as the base. I use google voice as my main voicemail platform...is that the problem?
Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

+1 Asking too.
There was a thread about this a while back and that feature is not in ICS yet. Google said it'd implement it later on.
This should do a better job of explaining:

Hello,
Currently on Steel Droid 10, came over from Miui 3.6 to try this ROM...Its Awesome!!!
Now, Couple of things "Under The Hood" that is not working for me..
First,
Is Visual Voicemail from Verizon...I can receive the calls and the messages then when I go and chose the message to listen to it mentions;"Voicemail Not Download Properly"...
It will not allow me to review the Message unless I access my Visual Voice Manually...or *86
Now on Miui 3.5,3.6---Miui 2012 2.30 and up no issues...Is it possible to copy the Apk Files from those ROM's and bring it over to this Steel Droid ROM...?
By the way, I have no Idea How to do that just being up front...
Second,
Noticed that I dont have Group Contacts which I find to be very helpful Organizing My Distributor Contacts...
Torch is not Working either...Not a big deal..

I take NO credit for this! I found this here on XDA and thought I would post a link to it on here:

I flashed it earlier and it works great, no double take and works with voice (on or offline) - I'm stock rooted.
I do not have where I got it on here, since I found it on my phone and I am writing this thread on my computer. I will add credit to where I got it when I find the link again! Until then enjoy!
FYI - This is said to work with any ARMv7 chip.
EDIT: Here is the link to where I found it so credit can be had by all who made it happen!

Is there a method to uninstall? I'm suddenly getting a "Sorry, didn't catch that" error. Immediately closes out once I open it.
Check on the link to the thread scroll down there's a return to stock Google search zip. I had to revert also because it wasn't working for me

You on stock rooted? I have not changed any of my files (other then framework.apk - to bypass verizon charging me to use the built in tether ). I flashed this and works great, from the google search on the main screen i just click on the mic and it brings it right up...
Voice Dialer is messed up
I originally posted this in the Apps forum; but it is probably more appropriate here:
I installed Google Now and the search works fine. However, when I initiate the voice dialer via my BT headset, I hear very fast, unintelligible gibberish. When I say "Call Bill Johnson" it returns totally inaccurate results and the voice is at 4X speed. S Voice, while somewhat inaccurate, worked 80-90% of the time via BT.
Does anyone else who has done this on their S3 have a working BT initiated voice dialer?
Are you having issues with having GN send text to contacts or sending "note to self"? I am having issue with both. I tried to do the work around using Calendar as a contact and then having GN send a sms to it so that it will post but most of the time it ends up doing a google search on "text calendar....ect". "note to self..." gives me a black screen and then an FC shortly after. I'm using the M6 zip file.

I cant get it to send any text messages, i think it might be since i have the software with the phone search removed? - might need to let the original developer know using the link in my original threat.

I sending a text message is hit or miss i guess, however i never got it to actually do it for me automatically. if i say "text mike hey whats up" it will pull up mike (sometimes/not consistently) and have my message "hey whats up" ready for sending but i have to actually go again and finalize the send. It's not like with S voice or Vlingo where it will send it for you if there is high confidence or if you tell it to send. I guess we'll just have to wait until proper version of Jellybean come out for our phones (GS3 VZW in my case). Till then we'll just have to deal with not so perfect Google Now.
Is there anyway to turn s voice back on when double clicking the home button? Google voice dialer calls all kinds of random people.. thanks in advance!

Should be able to go into the applications and clear the cache for Google search/voice - so when you double click home it will ask which you want to use? not 100% sure, but usually that's how you reset options like that.

Yeah that button! :highfive: i was at work when i posted that response and got a call and had to rush the response.
Tried that already with no success. I apologize I should have included that in my post. I however cannot find voice dialer in the app list. Is it named something else? I ask because when double clicking home, it doesn't launch the google now search, it launches a desperate google voice dialer. Thanks

Should just be the Google search one, if you haven't already tried that one. also, check the original threat I posted i belive they have an "uninstall" option? that would be the only other option i can think of. I don't use voice dial. sorry.
So to install this, you just need to download the zip file and flash in recovery? I read through the other link and its seems confusing. I'm not sure if I need 6 or 7. And the warning stated if I don't know what one I need I shouldn't be attempting it. So I'm nervous.
Do the mikey7 version. To get offline and online dload the biggest file. On an s3 you should be Ok doing the big file. Just download put on root of your sd card and on recovery flash the zip file. I've been using it but I don't use the cards to save battery. I just use the voice search. It's much better than s voice or the voice search of ics. Check on howbibused home2shortcut to assign it to the home button by clicking my name to see my posts. You will enjoy it.

I am guessing we can flash v.7 right over v. 6?
I flashed over six and had no issues as of now.

Okay, this is is my very first post in any kind of forum lol. I really don't know where to begin on here so please don't go all rage at me about how I'm in the wrong place cos I know I probably am. If so, just point me in the right direction.
But, if by chance I AM in the right place or you're just willing to help me out then here is my question....
In the CM10 MMS app, I really like the quick reply feature. Though what I don't like is the "select template" thing to the left of the text box. If anyone could point out how to remove this then I would be thoroughly grateful. A step by step instruction would be preferable but any help appreciated.
Also as a side note, changing the "call" button in the notification pull down into maybe opening them up in the contacts app would be cool.
Cheers

So last night I was flashing my stock firmware so I could get my OTA to work (Which failed so if anyone can help me with that, that'd be great )
But anyway, I woke up this morning to check my email using the default email app and clicking the icon on my home screen i get the message "Application Not installed"
I figured perhaps the widget got screwed up and went to go look for the application in my app list and sure enough it isn't there, nor is it in the Settings>Applications menu
how did this get deleted?! and more importantly how do I get it back? Does anyone have the GS3 stock .apk?
Here , I just pulled this one from my phone .
