i remapped my search button with the button remapper app. it has ALL the power button options except wake the screen. to wake the screen, ics has an option. go to the main phone settings, security, lockscreen, press none. now you can wake the phone with volume button. cm9 also has a wake device with the volume rocker option.

Thanks.
So a friend dropped his C5303 and the power button is now a little sticky.
Any way to turn the camera button into the power button?
Cheers
TIA
EDIT: This device isn't rooted and he'd have no idea how to!
yesterday my power button died, but I was able to turn on my N5 somehow. after, I've enabled the double tap to sleep on the statusbar and on the lockscreen and volume buttons now wake the device, but I wasn't able to remap the power button and if I accidentaly press it, I don't know what will happen. So, there's any method to completely disable the power button? I've tried with gravity box but there isn't any option to do this.
someone knows how to disable the power button from the .kl files in system/usr/keylaout?
And then, can I use the volume buttons to turn on the device when it's off or I have to keep it on forever?

Dear all,
Pls help how to turn off vibration in Messenger app and Volume, Power (when turn on screen) button on HTC U12+
I can't find where to turn off?
I assume you're speaking about Facebook Messenger.
Open Messenger app. In the right upper corner tap on your profile picture.
You will see settings. Tap on Notifications and manage vibration and sounds.
Sorry I can't understand how the Power button is involved.

If you are referring to the “clicking“ when pressing the power button and volume buttons which is a haptic feedback. Install one of the two custom kernels in this forum. They both include a companion and configuration app where you can turn this off.
