[Q] nexus s 4g titanium backup - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Sorry guys i bet this has been answered a hundred times but i've been super busy and i just need a straight up answer. Will titanium backup work with the nexus s 4g since it doesn't have an sd card? I just upgraded from my htc hero.

I just came over from an Evo and yes, titanium works. Technically, the Nexus has an internal memory treated exactly like an SD card.

K thanks atoy

is rooting it going to be like my evo once i rooted it it got slower
No. And if your evo got slower you didn't use the right rom or did something wrong.

I followed the rooting guide for my Evo 4g and my got kinda slow, but I had it for a year so not sure if that was battery issue. Either way that's why I got an NS4G cause of the lag. Seems to be perty fast, but that depends on yer rom and whatnot . now

Looking for Pure Google Rom

Is there a Pure Google 2.3.4 Rom out there for the Sensation? The Sensation lacks int memory and I think this phone would be perfect with a pure Google Rom ala my Nexus One phone. Install all my apk's on ext sd space and I would be very happy. If there is such a Rom I would be a happy camper.
Thanks,
Vinny
No there isn't. Please stop asking this question as it's been asked many, many times.
There isn't a fully working one yet.

[Q] Nexus Sense Rom?

Hey guys,
So I keep seeing this Nexus Sense Rom pop up all over the place, but it seems like it has disappeared and can't be downloaded anymore for flashing. I just got the Nexus on AT&T so go easy on me, as this may be old news...lol.
I remember seeing a video, not too long ago, showing off a sense rom on the ns but I'm not sure if that ever made it to prime time here on xda. Its possible that it did but alluded me if it was a non 4g build but the closest thing I recall to that is a port from the Droid x to the ns4g. I believe its called nexusblur or something to that effect.... it was a solid port btw- only missing a few things like 4g and maybe wifi. Also worth noting that I'm pretty sure it never made its way over to your device on the non 4g side of things. Hope that helps

I need help deciding

I currently have the sensation. I'm up for an upgrade. I have a choice between the one s and the Samsung galaxy s3 . I hate touch wiz and I feel the dev presence is awesome on HTC. But the Samsung is completely awesome. So if I could get feed back it would help. It seems a bit off sided because I can only get one s and not x

Well, if you hate touchwiz, then there's not really anything you can do about it. Of course some experimental sense might come, but they aren't gonna cut it. Go for the one s, you'll not regret it

GS3 has more features. But touchwiz could be gone with cm9 when it comes out or apex launcher to get u by. I will probably return my one s on the 19th since its my last day to return it. But this phone is good though. I just need a removable sd card since u only get 10GBs

I think you should wait for review on the phone. Usually some site will get it before release date ( phonedog, etc).
I like samsung, but its too plain for me and big.

Go to engadget.com they have a review on both phones.

Development on the GS3 will be greater, and faster, since Samsung doesn't lock bootloaders, or lock the phones with S-on.
Now ask yourself; did I really just read that? Yes you did.

They also release source in a timely fashion. They dropped source for the SGS3 the day it went on sale in Europe.

Yeah I think I definitely getting the s3 I need removable sd. I just ain't feeling the unibody. I loved my galaxy vibrant but I'm a sucker for.new devices

I would go with the S3. It has a bigger display and its hd compared to qHD. Plus it has a micro sd which is incredibly useful since the one S barely has a lil under 10GB of storage.

If it weren't for the size of the GS3, I would say absolutely go with it, since really the only thing the One S has over the Galaxy is its a reasonable size...and sexy slim. Other than that, the GS 3 either matches or trumps the H1S in every other category.

I got this phone free w/ 2 year contract. Its a great upgrade for me. But if I were choosing a phone that money didn't play a part in it, I would get something else.
Get a phone w/ a removable battery and micro SD card.
Sure I'm happy now, but cell phone batteries only last 400 - 500 charges. No way around that. Good class 10 SD cards keep getting cheaper.
I will be sorry after a year or so with this phone. But I'm happy now.

Android device that use micro SD card, does it drain more battery?

Well I'm comparing phone that use only internal like the HTC one x and one s,phone with micro SD like the galaxy s3 or note 2..A retailer once tell me this,I don't know is it true or not..but I'm asking here..to make sure. Thanks in advance.
