Hello there, just wondering what browser people think is best? I'm using dolphin at the mo but I'm getting annoyed with it now. Some links I have to click 10 times before it does anything and its feeling a little slow. So what do you recommend? Thanks.

I'm just trying out opera but so far Dolphin Mini's my favorite.

I tried Opera Mobile but I don't find it that good. Web pages are displayed weird.

I've been using Miren for a while and prefer it over the stock browser. It has tabbed browsing and a nice home screen. I haven't tried any others though..

By a huge margin. Anyone notice how crazy fast this browser is? Blows my vibrants away..
I wouldn't say "smokes" it, but it is a little quicker. Although I've noticed a little choppiness when scrolling occasionally that my vibrant doesn't have. Definitely a better phone overall.

I see how you are still using the 2.2 browser. How you tried the butter smooth 2.2.1 or even smoother 2.3 browser on the Vibrant?

My Captivate definitely gets its ass kicked in browser performance by the G2x, especially if there is flash on the page.

I did and 2.3 was much smoother but my G2X is still faster with loading, scrolling and zooming. I also tried Opera on both and that is much faster on the G2X.

Does anybody know if any of these ics roms have a smooth operating browser. I'm tired of looking at blurred pictures, super slow gifs, and half loaded pages, not to mention the extreme lag after maybe 5 10 minutes
why not try out opera mini instead? or another browser?
Stock browser smooth fast for me
Using brainmaster 4.0.3 rom got same performance from stock IC also

I noticed significant browser improvement after doing a full complete reset. Then flashing a rom.
I do full wipes every time. Stock and dolphin run like poo. I'll give opera a try
Oh yeah. Im on ns4g
That's why when proper 4G ota and roms built off it it will be smoother

Opera is very smooth ´cause of GPU rendering (like the stock ICS browser)
and yes http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1397358 best Crespo (Nexus S) Rom so far
I'm giving my Nexus S to teh wife, and I'm wondering which ROM I should put on it? I'm using Kalimchoaz CM9 Kang, but I wonder if it's too complex for her. Don't really want her mucking around in low level settings.
Looking for a a stable, low maintenance ROM, with excellent battery life and no crashes. She mostly uses for text, phone, contacts and facebook. Very little browsing. Facebook contact sync is a plus.
I tried Brainmaster's stock ICS but it was slower than the AOSP kangs.
Any suggestions?

I did a clean install of Weapon. Rebooted and let it sit for 10 minutes. Rebooted again and let it sit. Then I flash New Clip and let it sit for a bit. New Clip flashes over Weapon. Then I flashed my favorite theme. Stayed with the kernel that comes with it. I have never had great luck with alternative kernels and I really have no need for overclocking.
Kwes has an ICS like theme that looks great. Then I added ADW ex and loaded an ICS theme for it. I am very happy with the setup. Been running it this way for several months.
I have been playing around with the V6 Super Charger script but for whatever reason I seem to run out of memory faster when web surfing. I am still learning about everything it does, so I am not 100% sure that it is set up correctly for my needs.

Using latest version of Eaglesblood with faux kernel. It's stable, and battery life is awesome. I'm not into ROM swapping. When find one that works, I stick with it, and it's looking like I'll be with this one for a while. Maybe when an ICS ROM gets refined, I'll give it a go. I would like to have Chrome on the android.
Using CM 7.2 RC1 with faux ds kernel. I get about thirteen hours of medium use, light use lasts a couple of days.
It's a great stock rom without the problems of LG based ones.

Im currently rocking...The latest and greatest... seriously Sooo many INCREDIBLE roms to choose from its hard to keep still. however... i recently gave miui (singh)another shot just for fun and am currently hooked. AMAZED at the smoothness and utter sexiness of the theme engine and GIGANTIC selection of themes. This will definetly keep my interest for some time! the ui is different and fun too. Only Con so far is the normal CM7 quirk (upside down video chat), nothing too big to keep me from rockin it for a while.

Actually looks fine. But I notice more stutter than before, perhaps the ICS animation is bogging it some down.
Still a fan of CM7/Cm9.
I can honestly say, I'm sticking to the G2X despite having a Galaxy GS2. I truely enjoy the Cyanogen ROMS and can't wait for it to come CM9 on G2X and GS2
Also that Samsung is too big. Should have waited. Not sure I'll get any device over 4 inch screen. But thats me

Is it just me or does the ICS browser suck?
I installed chrome, but it has the same issue where it takes awhile for it to be responsive.
ICS+ browser is a bit better, but not leaps and bounds.
Dolphin is ok, certainly better than above. Still doesn't feel very responsive or fluid though.

I'm having no love with the browser. Feels like browsing on a 56k modem using some ancient linux distro. I tried all of them, with Maxthon being the fastest. Unfortunately Maxthon became unstable within a day.
The browser is turning into a dealbreaker. Maybe my expectations were too high.
please tell me that they fix this!! a quadcore and browser cant run smooth?!?
i'm using chrome and dolphin HD and it seems to be working fine. why would you all use stock browser anyways?
From what i've read, the browser is handled using the Tegra 3's "companion core."
Because it's clocked at such a slow speed, it has some lag.
I have been using Dolphin on both my TF300 and TF101. I really can't tell any difference in the time is takes to load a page on both tablets.
I have tried other browsers but keep coming back to Dolphin.

Totally disappointing experience. Browsing is a nightmare on my tf300t device. it's slightly better than tegra 2 devices (acer a500 and asus tf100), however still not ready for prime time.

Safari stock browser is flawless! That's not a good enough reason for me.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G with Beats Audio using xda premium
Stock browser is definitely sluggish. Downloaded Dolphin Browser for the first time and it works great, no issues here.
After testing just about every browser available, I have found that Dolphin and ICS Browser+ are the best options for me.
There is still an occasional lag when loading a new page where all input is ignored for upto 3+ seconds.
Flash in dolphin plays fine, but you cannot go full screen, then it crashes.
I and many others have same problem on prime (tf201)
and the whole tab isjust freaking slow.
I believe it's definitely asus crapware and maybe bad tegra3 optimization from asus.
as far as I know, htc one x (also tegra3) runs browsers just fine.
hell, my amaze 4g (dualcore s3 snapdragon) is just flying on ICS... while prime is dragging its tail
I'm freaking disappointed with asus... I really thought this will be my mobile workhores... but ist a piece of crap
Opera mobile runs flawless for me. My prime performance is great. no lag at all. UI super fluid & browser scrolling super fluid. I can't speak for some but me along with others have primes that work great.
Browser issues and other things are very well documented across majority of different devices on ICS. so not an Asus specific issue.
don't believe the hype. lol
I use the Chrome beta. Turn off page preloading and it runs fairly smooth. I'll give Opera Mobile a try later on, though; I like Opera on my desktop.
Just ran my TF300 through Vellamo. It scored pretty much exactly where you'd expect: slightly worse than the Prime, but better than most anything else. So, if a web benchmark is saying our device is great on the web... the issue must lie somewhere else, e.g. slow cache speeds (hypothetical idea)
I like Dolphin, but it occasionally crashes when I have multiple tabs open. However, when you reopen Dolphin, it forgets all the tabs that you had open just before the crash. Is there any way to fix that?
Mx browser no problems at all.....
