a) how I can release this cache?
b) and how it affects me have little cache of discharge?
2. open in recovery, I get wipe cache partition,
a) what is it?
b) I can do a wipe?
c) assistance in the performance of the phone?
3. folders in the sd, I get a call ext3,
a) is the folder that is used to move applications to the sd?
b) or is the folder you created when you install rom dexter
c) I can delete some cache in that folder?
4. To improve the performance of my phone, using rom dexter
a) my phone is with dexter v.1.3 Patch 4, overlock to 1 GHz, and is very slow, slow to open and close applications, and when it reaches the launcher is slow to load widgets and shortcuts, I have only two desks with 3 widgets.
Sorry for so many questions, but I wanted to because my phone is too slow.
33.12 mg free internal memory of 173 maximum
26 mg RAM free, maximum 224.
Thanks!
Try Khal's ROM for more performance
+1 for Khal's ROM. V4 is rock stable for me. Also, please make sure you are using a high-class SDHC card. eg. Class 4/6/10. I switched from the stock Class 2 to Class 6 card and the phone "feels" significantly faster.
Also, I strongly recommend Reverendkjr videos to make sure no steps are missed :--

Thanks again Reverendkjr
Yeah, Khal's ROM should help.
dexter rom with this patch (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=995989) more stable than khal v4
I have the patches, but my phone is slow, sometimes I have to wipe cache to improve it, but then again be slow.
And someone can help me with the questions above?

Notice:
1.This rom will be format your 2nd partition automaticlly, so you need backup your 2nd partition first.
2.I don't like deodexed system, because it will change apk's signatur, that I can not upgrade my system app for new update. And deodexed system will take more time for first booting time:every app need dexopt. So I use stock odex system.
3.Don't setup Google account until your TitaniumBackup restore job finish.
4.Some say this ROM will destroy the SD card, I have not encountered, and if SD card is not recognized in Windows, you can use Windows Computer Management -> Disk Management, assigned a drive letter for SD 1st partition, so you can see fat32 partition
5.put bootanimation.zip and shutdown.zip on /data/local will be replace BootAnimation and RebootAnimation.
Optimization Suggestion:
1.use fast SD card, class 4 or higher.
2.format SD 1st partition(fat32) with 32K cluster.
3.use setcpu overlock to 1113Mhz
4.use static wallpaper
5.use ADW Launcher
Requirement:
1.SD card with 2nd partition, 2nd partition is not less than 512M, recommend 1G for large app space and super fast. The second partition can be in any format.
2.Bravo Stock MTD(system:250M,data:150)
Installation:
use RA or ClockworkMod recovery, or ROMManager flash ownheredeisreHD_v1.6_101205.zip.
the first boot take long time(about 5-15 mins).
Feature:
1.ownhere's data2ext, get large app installation space, special for /data/data, which leave in phone memory with a2sd/a2sd+. You can install many many app with data2ext with out memory full warning.
2.ext4 loop device in ext4 partition, speed up IO.
3.kernel base htc 2.6.32.15, add BFS,GPU+,SDFIX,UnderVolt,OverClock,LZMA, thanks to richardtrip and all kernel devs. I disabled HAVS, cause of it lead phone not stable.
4.google maps 4.7.0 ownhere MOD, base on brut17 (thanks to brut.all), internationl navi.
5.ROM base on DesireHD HK RUU 1.32.832.1
6.kernel module:cifs,nfs,utf8,nilfs2,reiserfs,tun...
7.You can replace framework-res.apk with mod version(signed by testkey), because I've resigned some core app/lib for personalize battery-icon.

+1.
I want to know too.
based from a dhd rom, what have you added or taken from it? or is this just purely just a speed increase rom?
just curious.
but aside from that, is this simply a straight flash-able rom? (provided the card is partitioned) or are there other steps involved?
thanks.

Pretty sure that means ext2-4.

When you flash this ROM, you will get data2ext automatically.
It means that how big you size your 2nd partition, you get the same size internal memory. It's just the Desire user needs.
can anyone mirror this somewhere else please?
megaupload are really really slow for me at the moment, i'm getting speeds of around 5.1-5.7KB/sec
says i've got over 10 hours to go
we need more info ...

then we can try it ..

Because this ROM added data2sd, the first start will be very slow, probably between 10-20 minutes (depending on SD card speed)
G9's ROM does not fix a long time, this ROM is based on the previous version repair. Added data2sd function.
data2sd functions need to partition the SD card,
data has been repeatedly tested, as long as you follow me that the district, data2sd no problem.
Recommended partition format is:
Swap = 100M the following can
Ext2 = 2GB or less (this is the phone memory)
Fat32 = as the rest of this partition the active partition is the cell phone sd.
In the previous version based on the updated version 5.0 of Google Maps, rights management, and safety and intellectual market. ROM compared power, and speed very quickly, because data2sd reasons. Will not cause such phenomena as the Tokamak.
I'm sorry, I do not upload images of power,

I'm running 2.3.5 sk particle GIO as os with build in a2sd.(sd card Class 10 (tested))
It was horrible to install and get it running, all the information on the marked is abigious....
The intrinsic quality of a2sd is not that great that creates tons of mis understanding....
(for a relative simple issue sym link and replace batch procedure...
I found out that the commands not executed in the right(specific) order leaded to crash and in usability of the system. It is difficult nearly impossible to detect and confirm you got it working
.... The above are not qualifications of a quality product heavily overrated.
order
su:
a2sd swappy64
a2sd zipalign
a2sd cashesd (reboot)
a2sd datasd (reboot)
>Swap active and only davik activee
a2sd install (reboot)
>100 more mb on sd card
The above is my guess apearently after executing ton's of command lines
All the difficulty needs to be handled by the unexplained user (a2sd last beta version)
But resulting system verry sluggish and slow
needed to install a task killer but now all gets aborted
I guess the data partition was copied, since the memory indication (a2sd titanium) increased by 100 mb, I would have suspected an increase of about 200 to 300mb , but that would mean
the symbolic link is completely corrupted.
Documentation on copying an additional system directory, is 3 lines of code , ok complex but
all transparancy on a2sd has been lost.
It is not possible that a2sd is quality work, all critics welcome, I would love it to work
I do not understand the memory reports :
ex titatium memory internal 189MB (185MB free) near to impossible
sd card 9 gig free
sd a2sd 1 gig 815Mb gree = 185mb used - 64 mb davik
I see no reason the system is so unstable on a symbolic link
restoring and re linking should not be able to help on that except killing the wole system
in the mean time
Did someone come to a working solution on that?
are it all lies and crappy work ???
I realy need help, is it worth the effort ????
Thanks for your comment
I don't understand you at all .

the only thing i understood is that your apps2sd is slow.Try upgrading ext2 to ext3/ext4
I'm running the **SMS* 3.02 by RSK team on my HTC Desire, the rom works great (I wanted the Amaze Cam) but I seem to run out of internal memory really quickly, ROM has only been on (again) for a week and I'm down to 25mb, all apps have been moved to SD.
I do have quite a few apps installed, but surely being on SD internal memory should be empty. The phone has a 16Gb SD card with a 2Gb ext partition created through recovery.
How to I get the memory back? I suspect it's going to be full in a day or 2, leading me to another full wipe
What i did to make more mem is using ''ram manager'' on the market and kill apps running in the background.
Thanks, I'm not sure how killing running apps is going to free phone storage space, though
I suspect I need to find a data2sd rom, ideally with the new cam
getting closer, I notice my Dalvik cache is ~170Mb, so taking up all that space. I installed 2 market apps to move it, the first, S2E just does nothing when IO tell it to move the cache. The second, a2sdgui, exits with the following message
"cannot start for one of these reasons
1. your phone is not rooted (it obviously is to be running custom roms?)
2. A2SD scripts could not be found o
3. No EXT partition found
Did you create a partition on your SD CARD? Does your custom rom support APP2SD (normally is natively included)?
Make sure.
Otherwise, I would suggest to try another rom to see what happen.

Don't assume that because you are running a custom ROM means your phone is rooted - the 2 have absolutely nothing to do with each other. Check that you have superuser installed, and if you do run terminal emulator and type the command su. If you're rooted you should get asked if you want to allow superuser privileges to the app. If it doesn't ask then either you've allowed (and remembered) the permission before or you're not rooted.
If an app's telling you you're not rooted then it's possibly right - always good to be sure.
Thanks, phone definitely rooted, and superuser installed (and titanium backup, which I've just used)
can't see mention of apps2sd on the rom page, though I was running a pretty old version.
Decided to do a full wipe, repartition the SD card and install a later version which has dalvik-cache to sd-ext, hopefully this will solve the problem of it filling.
Showing 174MB free right now, (+8.6Gb)
I take it if the cache does fill again I can just wipe it with no ill effects?
I wipe all my cache periodically with this:
https://market.android.com/details?...sMSwxLDEwMiwiY29tLmFhYy5jYWNoZW1hdGUuZGVtbyJd
I normally free up to 20 MB.
guys help me plz...new to rooting and all such stuff ....
i've successfully rooted my phone and created a partition on my 8gb mem card...the part is of 1.5gb...after that i installed almost 100 apss and still 26mb internal memory is remaining....but now am planning to buy 16gb mem card...so what will happen to those installed apps cause link2sd moves alll to mem card...also my phone takes a long time to boot...almost 8mins...
also i wanna know is it safe to install custom roms and themes and sony xloud and other things on my phone...
Main questions are
1.will i have to install all those apps again on my new memory card?
2.cant i format my phone?(i;ve read somewhere that once roorted u cant restore phone 2 fact settings )
3.is overclocking safe ?
plzzzzzzzzzzzz reply
Answer 1: Unless you are pretty advanced with backups and such(which you are apparently not), yes, you have to reinstall them in your new memory card.
Answer 2: Possible but there's a chance to brick your phone. You won't need that anyway, unless you want to unvoid your warranty.
Answer 3: Be reasonable and careful while doing it and you'll be fine. Turn the phone off if the phone gets unusually hot and after cooling down, tone down the frequency.
About custom ROM and mods: Follow the install instructions of the ROM/mod you want to install, and always take nandroid backups before doing such operations.

another question : everytime phone bootsup link2sd doesnt link all automatically...wil have to relink all files which is quite hectic...also boot time is almost 7mins...any solution ? also which rom wil be best...have read a lot bout jaggyrom but is there any other rom which is better than jaggyrom?
Use S2E instead of Link2sd.
7 minute boot problem should be fixed by fashing a new ROM, so don't worry about it.
JaggyROM is no longer being developed as far as I know. Try CyanogenMod 9 or AOSP ICS. CyanogenMod 9 is an Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich ROM with new features over it, AOSP ICS is like CyanogenMod 9 but without Cyanogen specific features and customizations. They both can't record videos properly at the moment, but progress has been done, and their battery life is temporarily because Bluetooth problems. If you don't use Bluetooth much, you can give Liverpool's boot.img without Bluetooth a shot.

1. Try this method.. i dont if it works with your ext partion. ( this format is not used in windows.. if you try this on linux.. might work.
Format your new SD card.. fat32. Carefully copy entire old card to new one. It should be exact image of the old card. If you are on windows.. unhide all system and hidden files before coping!!
( Long back i had a s/w to make sdcard image which you can flash to other sdcard without any corruption. Search it on Google.. if you dont find it then try this method)
2. You can perform format by going to recovery.. wipe EVERYTHING
and flash that rom again.
3. Overclocking is safe if you use it wisely.. extreme overclocking can brick your phone permanently. ( Dont OC to a very high value.. you cant make 600mhz cpu to 1 ghz processor)
