I have a line of pixels out on the left edge of my screen and its not too obvious, but it's annoying nevertheless.
I was just wondering who I would contact to see if I can get a repair or a new device. would I contact Samsung or Google? or even T-Mobile maybe?

I have PHP plan wondering how much it cost to fix the screen and are their any cheaper places. I check T-Mobile can't find it and I never used a third party. Has anyone used any other company than T-Mobile? Thank you for your time and all help appreciated

PHP is insurance. They send you a new device, not repair yours. I dont remember the exact pricing, but i think its about $120.
Damn I rather just have the screen repaired oh well. Thanks time call them any idea how long it takes

They say 14days and your deductible is $130.
http://www.phoneclaim.com/t-mobile-program
Not sure if this will do it but it may and its only 70$.

Edit: After thinking about it, you would need the LCD not the touch. I did not see any but if you look a bit harder then I did you may find them. But let us know what you do.

I talked to one of the reps and they said the only way they could change your color is if your original color is out of stock /:
Idk I know standard insurance with a defective product you have to send in the older model. Idk about going through asurion if I pay $130 they should send a whole new phone.

Not a whole new phone, only a refurbished device.
Well I'm going to do it I was one of the lucky ones to get a good screen hopefully I don't have to go through them again

Ok paid 130 free overnight shipping and they change the color for me was reluctant at first though.

Whenever I search for a screen on ebay it brings up glass fronts. I need to know where I can get an actual LED display. I dropped my phone and the glass is fine but the actual display has dimmed the screen to the point I can't see the top. I need a link please ?

Actually the galaxy s3 uses LCD.
Secondly. The screen part is largely referred to as a digitizer.
So you can search eBay for that.
However. I believe if you ship to Samsung
They will replace for 180 with parts and shipping included. (So I've heard)
I think this is the cheapest unless you find a used donor phone
I hope I helped
Don't mind if I ask for a thanks? Haha
Jk. But PM me if you have any questions. Might be able to help

In case I need to RMA my phone I bought my phone from T-Mobile do I just go from Google RMA process and do they still accept it with the MEID sticker peeled off?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Nope, go to T-Mobile. The Google RMA is for Google Play purchases only. The sticker on the back doesn't matter.

You can't go to Google. You have to use tmobile and get a refurb.
Slight correction. You can go to Google but for convenience Tmobile should be your first point of contact.

No you can't. I've tried. They'll help you troubleshoot, but won't replace the phone. Tmobile or LG needs to do that. LG takes about 3 weeks and isn't free, so I didn't even say that.

Yeah that's pretty sketchy of Google. T-Mobile is going to get the stock from Google anyway? Doesn't make sense to go through carrier than to google.

Exactly. When tmobile runs out of options, it's redirected to the phone's manufacturer. Google isn't the manufacturer. LG is, but their CS is terrible and you have to pay for shipping both ways.

I was talking about myself
So my friend sent in her s4 for repairs and Samsung sent her a galaxy nexus. She dropped it this morning and the screen cracked. Since its a temporary phone, what is the procedure for this? Does anyone have any experience
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
You might get some answers in a Samsung forum. Hopefully their insurance will cover it.

For starters, that girl needs to keep a case on all her phones if she's just breaking them left and right. lol. But the insurance thing is something I doubt anyone here will be able to answer. She needs to talk with Samsung

I think their expectation is going to be that they get the temporary phone back in the same condition as it was when they sent it. So your friend is going to be liable for some damages.

You can't really say that without knowing the conditions she probably signed when getting the phone. Samsung might as well have insurance covering such cases.

I worked in wireless for 3 years. I can tell you that she will have to pay for the damages. That's why most companies don't do loaners anymore. When she got the temporary, she agreed to return the phone is the same condition as received.

Would Samsung care if she replaces the screen? I'm guessing that's cheaper than whatever Samsung would charge
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
The screen has a digitizer that would take not only technical know how to replace, but is very pricey. It's your call though. Might cost you more in the end if you try and fail at doing it.

Anyone know why is Lg charging me this much for a screen repair? I will call in the morning but that is ridiculous for that price. All I want is a screen repair.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
That price is pretty normal in Denmark. Here its usually cheaper to buy a new smartphone, than getting it fixed. Its only iPhone that is cheap because so many unauthorized store use cheap China spare parts

I'm not passing any judgment on you so don't get offended, but my guess is they figure since you took a drill to it, either a. they think you don't care about the money or b. you're an idiot and will pay without questioning.
But from the pictures, it wouldn't surprise me if it's not just the screen.
good luck!
It should be just the screen because I replaced it with an eBay one but the screen wasn't a original. It kinda work with the eBay one but it didn't. I sent it back and I'm guessing it was the screen. Everything in it is not damage and I live is the united States by the way.
Edit: Can anyone link me to an OEM screen ? On eBay or Amazon only

I'd get a new phone. As hinted already....you'd be lucky if the only thing wrong is the screen. Probably more damage than that. I wouldn't potentially waste money on trying to fix it.....only to discover there's other problems too.
