Don't know much about the Galaxy other than I like the name
I can say the Nexus rocks...check out what great developement has been done for it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=559
Definitely the Samsung Galaxy S. If you root your phone you don't have to worry about having to wait for Samsung to update your device. It is better than the Nexus One in terms of hardware performance, and its screen is a beauty.
Until Swype comes out on all andriod, Galaxy S at least have one feature that definitely wins N1.

I'm sure the N1 can use Swype too, and if not, don't expect it to be without Swype for long. And even if it doesn't you can substitute with Shapewriter for now.
This whole thread can really be discarded. Just take a look at the Samsung Galaxy S vs HTC Desire thread... because the N1 and the Desire are almost the same device!

hmm ok thanks evryone for the information
I think i choose the nexus one
because it will get more update's of android
you guys think this is an good choise?

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S or Nexus S?

Which phone does everyone prefer? i know the nexus s will be getting ics and the galaxy s will not. But that doesn't necessarily mean the nexus is superior to the galaxy. Please respond
Nexus S with CM7 would get my vote.
Of course a Nexus One would be better!
Galaxy S has microSD expansion slot, thus Nexus should get that option for my vote
do either of you know which of the two is more stable or are they about the same? cause both of them have pros and cons that make them about even.
I would definitely take the Nexus.

Galaxy s2 hercules or Galaxy nexus?
I have a Nexus S and run the CM9 alpha. It's quite stable, though it's missing a lot of the features CM7 has and a lot of the features CM9 is supposed to have when official nightlies start dropping.
One thing I am really loving about the alpha CM9 (using netarchy's kernel) is that deep idle finally works without issue. In CM7, no matter what kernel I used, deep idle would give me sleeps of death.
the galaxy s i9000 or the just the original nexus s
Nexus all the way! only because it is independent of all the bloatware that comes loaded on almost all the U.S. variants of Galaxy S
it appears that i will be going with the nexus s. thanks to all, the posts were very helpful. Im very excited to get rid of my motorola milestone
I preferred a galaxy to a Nexus S, because it has external SD and why there are fantastic ROM available.
There is a porting of ICS too.
Great phone.
Not only because I have one, but i'll say Nexus S!
Nexus

What phone should i buy ???

hi guys
i want to buy a galaxy S2
so should i buy one form At&T or T-Mo or Sprint or globel verson ????
Why buy a S2 when S3 was just released? Or you could buy the HTC One X.
wait for the S3 to come. and the htc one-phones are probably a bit better than the s2. but max. a bit
WAIT for the global galaxy sIII to be released and then buy that
samsung s2
Buy a Galaxy Note
I would Buy a Galaxy note as i had a brand new nexus with official ics and sold it and bourght a note and couldnt go back to a smaller screen then ive rooted and flashed stunner ics i woudnt swap it for any phone now i have a quadrant score of 44130 blows my nexus out the water.massive thanks to all at xda as i knew nothing about phone development untill i stumbled apon this forum and now im flashing custom ics roms
If you must get a GS2, go for the "Skyrocket" model, it's CPU is clocked to 1.5 versus all other models being clocked at 1.2
thanks for the advise but you guys change the topic
i think that S3 is not very impress compare to S2 with the price 600 euro
guys on here telling you get s3.... is nothing so special about s3 apart from faster cpu ....and the design of s2 is much better than s3
Go with tmobile and save yourself some money...
Which phone should I buy now?
I've had the HTC Wildfire since last year but I'm getting pretty bored of it now because of the slow processor, graphics and small screen.
Basically, I need a big screen, good camera(capable of HD recording), nice multimedia features and a decent processor in my next phone.
I'm thinking of getting the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V. Is it a good phone or should I go for something else?
Galaxy S3.
Easy, Global, more development and support. But Galaxy Nexus would make better sense with updates
Sent from my HTC One X
I'd also go for global for the dev/support.
If you have already invested tons into micro sdcard, go for sgs3, note or sgs2.
If not and you want style at the expense of no storage/battery upgrade options .. go for one x.
Samsung Galaxy SII even if for samsung upgrade reason maybe I'll chose HTC One X
Just buy the samsung galaxy siii.. man.. that phone is awesome .. just like a portable computer..

in no order
OG Droid - still used as GPS
Gs3 - so far only issue is reception
LG vx10 - loved the pull up antenna, now a toy for nephew but still works.
Well, we have to put things in context... like when they were released.
1) Motorola Micro-TAC flip phone. I got it in 1994 and it was light years beyond anything else out there. It's competition was the notorious "brick" phone.
2) Samsung Omnia. 2008, it was great to have an alternative to the iPhone.
3) Motorola Razr Maxx. Best battery in the industry. 2 days between charges with a lot of use. Motorola screwed it all up when they updated to ICS and broke Flash video. Oh well.
Samsung Galaxy S III
LG T-Mobile G2x
Google Nexus One
Top 3 is difficult. But here are some of my favorite phones in the last 10 or so years in order of how I got them.
1. Kyocera Slider - Don't know why, I used to love this little phone. It was a Virgin Mobile phone and it worked fine for me back then.
2. LG VX10000 (Voyager Titanium) - Got this phone in 2009 when I first got Verizon.
3. iPhone 3G - Even though I really liked my LG Voyager, the iPhone is what I really wanted. Got me a second cell phone just to get it.
4. Original Droid - Gave my iPhone to a friend so he'd let me use his upgrade so I could get an iPhone 3GS. After a few months of that I got really sick already of Apple. Telling me the iPhone 3GS was now able to do things that I was able to do just fine with my Jailbroken 3G. So I made the switch. Rooted it the next day and I lost count of how many different roms I tried on it.
Fifth spot is difficult. Since the Original Droid I've had the Thunderbolt which was amazing when it worked but I also had so many issues with it. I had a Verizon Galaxy Nexus which was nice but Verizon Kind of kills the Nexus brand. I currently have the Galaxy Nexus GSM with a $30 T-Mobile prepaid and I have the Galaxy S3.
The Galaxy S3 I just recently got but I must say that so far I'm really liking it. Personally I think it looks beautiful and I just really like a lot of the little Touchwiz specific things like the fact that I can call someone I'm texting by putting the phone to my ear. Sadly I wish I could install Jelly Bean but I don't want to lose those little things. But right now if I was to pick another winner it'd be a tie between my Nexus and my S3.
1. SG3
2. OG Droid
3. Fascinate
Fascinate sucked until rooted them became a really good phone. My daughter is running jt's jellybean on it still

2) BlackBerry curve something...it was my first smart phone and it lasted through.... more than any phone has a right to last through. It will still work and has been used as a replacement a couple years back.
3) thunderbolt. It had its flaws but I loved it.

Life after the infuse

I woke up this morning thinking of the future, currently my beloved infuse is running well with a broken backdoor cover (replacement is on the way) - can't help but thinking getting a new phone when/if it dies or become too slow for my need
what phone did you guys get after your infuse ?
what phone are you planing to own after your infuse ?
as there are many out there, I want a phone with same size or slightly smaller, better battery life, and durable as this Samsung Infuse
your contribution is truly appreciated

I fed up with the full touch screen phone so i am waiting for physical Qwerty Android Phone (Like Motorola Defy Pro)
In current models my i did like LG L90 Dual.
I went to the Original Note and then on to the Mega 6.3.

My wife went with the note 3 it is sadly very locked down.
My work supplied me with a RAZR m and I am pretty happy with it but it is locked down as well but does have root available. The size of it is nice fits in my pocket very comfortably and seems rugged enough. I'm thinking three RAZR HD would be a good choice.
