I rooted my SNS with gingerbreak .apk first ... then I unlocked it ... then I changed it's kernel by kernel manager .apk ... so far everything was good ...
then I installed clockwork recovery 3.0.0.0 by rom manager ... after that I installed a rom ... everything in that rom was good but wifi did not turn on.
I changed so many roms but it does not work.
My SNS is i9023 KB3 ... when it was ok the build number was GRI54 and now it is GRI40 or once it became GRJ22 ... I think maybe it is related to this ...
please please help me ... I am going mad ...
First, go through your wifi settings and make sure everything is in order. Try deleting your saved wifi details and reconnecting to them. If it doesn't work, flash a Nandroid if you made one or find a stock one for your original build on these forums.

Unfortunately I did not make a back up from my original rom ....
I tried to find my stock rom and I think I did ... I found it from this thread :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=955719
Stock 2.3.3 Full ROM
I flashed it but again no result ... when I press wifi on in my phone it answers error and does not turn on ... it is so strange for me ... what is its problem??
I think to something else also ....
When I used rom manager to install custom recovery, while phone's wifi was on, the phone got restarted. Can it be related to?
What kind of rom are you using? And did you flash a new kernel after the flash?
-Insert signature here-
How can I find a ROM with build number GRI54 ??
For me it was first GRI54 and now it is GRI40 ... I think that is the reason why the wifi does not work.
By the way my bluetooth turns on but it can not send or receive any data
If you installed the stock 2.3.3 rom and are still having wifi issues go into recovery do a compete wipe of data (Everything), then wipe the cache, install the stock rom again then let check if it's still not working.

Now it is the stock rom 2.3.3 .... baseband version is i9023xxkb3 and build number is GRI40 ....
I tried to install another kernel and I did it through recovery but it did not change ... I do not know why ... it remains as it was before ... it is this:
2.6.35.11-netarchy-nexus-1.3.0.2

when I am in recovery, these messages come up :

Try updating your recovery from rom manager.

I tried but I couldn't ... I open the new recovery by rom manager and it reboots the phone but nothing happened ... there is option in rom manager for doing this but is off ... I tried to update the recovery by my pc and through cmd but it says can not load the recovery.img
That's really odd. I don't quite know what you're problem is, I'll really sorry. My only other suggestion would be to change your radio.

By the way when I flash any rom by recovery, at the end the message is like this:
installation aborted ...
of course the rom works but this message is normal?

Can you go into fastboot? From there you can erase everything and start fresh. Then you can flash a new recovery from there. If you know how to do that then I suggest giving it a try, if not then I'd avoid that and try and find another alternative.

You go to H-boot with the recovery.img in the root of usb storage, from there it'll prompt you to flash it from H-boot.

Hello Geeks
I have rooted my htc sensation last night and Flash CWM Recovery HBoot 1.27.0000.
I managed to root and installed superuser. After i installed a new font installer apk, the problem started.
I reboot my htc after installed it and it stuck at HTC (Quitly Briliiant) screen.
and I tried several times removed battery and put it back. it can't solve the problem.
I can access to Hboot, and i see Fastboot, Recovery, Factory reset, SImlock, IMaGe CRC,
i tried to recovery, it hangs, samething to Factory reset, (didn't try simlock) and Image crc work fine.
And another problem is after i unplug the phone from usb or wall charger, the red light is still on.
i have no idea what to do.
HOPE can someone here help me with something?
thanks in advance.
(will post more detail if someone needs it)
Perhaps you would like to try and re-flash the CWM Recovery again? If you can't access recovery, most likely your CWM Recovery is corrupted.

what if the phone can't be detected by pc? i can't connect to pc via usb last ngiht.
can you boot into bootloader?
yes. i can go into bootloader
from bootloader you can flash the recovery
jus connect the phone from bootloader to pc (phone reads fastboot usb after this)
get the recovery.img and copy it to your adb/fastboot folder
then open command window there
and type this command
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
that should give you the recovery ....then go to recovery and reflash the rom
let me try and get back to u, sorry for late reply, just back from work
btw, how do i get recovery.img file ? sorry for noob q
i m kind of newbie to rooting and those stuffs

Here you go. I'm not going to kill you over not searching, sometimes it can seem like a vast ocean of info and be overwhelming, but you can run a search for the tatoo/click forum and usually in ANY forum the rooting/flashing stuff is stickied to the development forum.
Just wanted to give you a heads up for easier searching next time, here's the link you need.

adb push recovery.img /sdcard/recovery.img
adb shell
su
flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img
exit
exit
then just type adb reboot recovery and flash ROM

hello
I am having a sensation witch runs ViperS1.3.2, and I'm on S-OFF
my Bluetooth doesnt work. it wont find or be found.
I believe its a software prob since the wifi does works perfectly..
I think all the trouble began when I flash a boot.img when i was on Slimbean(flash something according to DennisBold suggestion so
it suppose to be matching that rom)
since that when I flashed a new rom/version of slimbean the bluetooth didnt work
I only remember that when I first tried revelation 1.0.0 it worked, and since that it failed to work(vipers and revelation 1.0.2)
im hoping i gave enough info
thank for helping
I think it is a kernel problem, so flashing the Sebastian's 1.0.2 kernel wouldn't probably hurt.
I had a problem with BT on vipera and revelation. Try to clear data in setting/applications/system application/bluetooth....

Since you're soff, try a gb ruu as well (use supercid), since you have tried ics ruu already. If it still doesnt work then it must be a hardware issue
Hello recently I changed a setting on my phone's build.prop file. I have a ZTE Warp Sync on Android 4.4.2. I believe I changed the dalvik.vm.heapzise=8m(or similar to that). I didn't mean to put 8 in but wanted 148. I have the default build.prop file but can only access the recovery mode. So I am wondering if anyone knows how to make a signed update.zip because everyone I make seems to fail. Also if I try doing any adb commands it says "error:closed." Thank you for any help or advice you can supply it is all appreciated.

Thanks for your response. I just tried out the file manager but every time it says it fails verification because it's not signed.

? which verification, he's talking about replacing build.prop with original one using a file manager, not flashing it

I put it into my SD card and selected the "Apply update from SD Card" option and it would fail and say it was not signed. I don't have a special recovery or anything only the stock Android.

Lol, are you flashing build.prop file? and with stock recovery?? You have to flash a custom recovery then you can flash your ROM or just replace the file using file manager

I just keep trying to push things through the SD Card option. I don't think I can install a custom recovery without getting into the phone. But if I can I have no idea how to.

I believe I've found a rom but I would prefer to not. It needs TWRP installed which in recovery mode I'm unsure how to do. The reason I would like to not flash a rom is because I've got 400 pictures or so from my Italy trip and would like to save them. Other than that I don't need anything on the device.
I don't think flashing a stock rom will delete your photos because they shouldn't touch the sdcard partition of the phone. At least it's been like that on the numerous phones I've flashed to and from stock

My photos aren't on the sd card unfortunately. This is the only rom I've found for my phone and I don't know how to install it because it looks like it needs twrp.

Edit: I still do not believe I have fastboot mode. From what I see the phone just reboots.

Ok thank you so much. Ill be sure to try this as soon as I can. Very much appreciated.
Edit: I tried the install of TWRP with the .zip but it again says "Signature verification failed" I am trying right now to fix the error:closed on ADB so I might be able to fix it that way.
I have tried out the TWRP.zip installation but it doesnt work for verification error. I used http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=997180 to sign the zip but it still comes up with a verification error. I also installed the SDK but I still receive error:closed when trying to run adb commands.
