My not rooted Nexus S is all messed up. It takes about 10 minutes to boot up, when it finally does boot I get about 5 or 6 "Sorry the process *** has stopped unexpectedly" messages...the 5 or 6 of them are email, calendar etc. If I try to go to the dialer, email, market or just about any other app they all stop unexpectedly...the only thing I can do with the phone right now is get incoming calls. I have tried factory resets and USB formatting with no luck. It is running 2.3.4 GRJ22.
I downloaded:

Can I flash this through recovery to try and fix this problem?

Hello everyone, I'm having a problem with my Galaxy S3. I rooted it and installed CWM two days ago, well last night I installed the Paranoid Android ROM on it. Now I get a message on my screen saying: "Unfortunately, ParanoidAndroid OTA has stopped" and when I press ok it pops up SIM network unlock PIN and give me an option unlock or dismiss.I dismiss it and it goes back to normal screen, but then another message pops up saying: Android.com has stopped and will keep popping up on the screen and won't stop until I take out the battery. I have done a factory reset and a clean cache partition on it. The only thing I can think of is that when I change the phone into tablet mode it doesn't automatically reboot, so I manually do it and that's when I get the OTA has stopped. Can someone please help me resolve this issue. I would really appreciate it.
I was trying to go from stock to Cleanrom 8.1. After installing the modem and flashing the ROM I can't view my SMS messages which is a problem because I have Google two step authentication on. My phone vibrates, but I can't see the text message anywhere. As a result, I can't get into the phone =/
The last thing I did was flash d2vzw_ML1_modem.zip however I've since factory reset it and it still doesn't work.
I tried to dial the # and I got this message unfortunately process com.android.phone has stopped
now every time I hit ok it comes back - after 3 times phone reboots and starts over the same message.
Phone is stock - just got updates OTA it is Global version
please advise if anyone had same issue and possible resolution. I checked some solutions from GAlaxy s2 and 3 but all of them require phone to actually work - I cant get to settings
thank you
Well i had the same problem after flashing many different roms. My mistake was forgetting to wipe to factory reset before flashing. Maybe this will solve your problem too.
Having this issue as well!
This started happening to me this morning. I am running CM12 Nightlies. I tried factory resetting...still happens. I tried everything. I even tried fastboot flashing the device to 100% stock...the first time I booted up after flashing stock and locking bootloader....the phone says "Unfortunately, the process com. android. phone has stopped". EVEN AFTER A FULL FLASH BACK TO STOCK UNROOTED 4.4.4!
HELP PLEASE!
after downloading an update, i get a message 'unfortunately, email has stopped'
i searched for a fix and after trying all suggestions i could find did a factory reset. it is on version 4.2.2 but the problem is still there. this flashes up every 10 seconds and makes it impossible to do anything. i did try downloading fixes but they will not open but can download software apps. i removed the sd card when i carried out the factory reset and have used a different email account for the setup.
has anybody encountered this issue or know how to resolve it.
Hi, I am hariharan. I need help guys. i restored my nexus 5 from cyanogenmod 13 to stock android 6.0.1 by wiping my device completely and format data option in TWRP. Everything went fine during formating the data except one error
"flash image /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/metadata /dev/zero process ended with error: 225"
And normally i restored my device with stock android 6.0.1. My device booted up normally.
After skipping the initial setup i made a call to my dad,it went dialing for 20 seconds with out any ringing sound and ended. When others tried to call me they heard that my phone was switched off.
I rebooted and once again tried no change. I changed the SIM to another mobile and checked the SIM was fine. I tried every stock rom released for nexus 5 but no luck. I also tried many roms but still no change. I also installed modems from the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...t/modem-nexus-5-flashable-modems-efs-t2514095 no luck in it.
But the data is working.
How could i solve this?
It could not be a hardware problem, as everything worked before the whole mess started up.
