That is one thing we are lacking right now...

Other than cwm and rooting. I am stock. Give me some instructions on how to download the modem and I'll get it posted.
I am also 90% sure that I did a nandroid backup before rooting. Otherwise it's stock with root on the backup.

[Q] GPS Connectivity Issues

I had installed CM7 on my phone, but didn't work right, so i flashed back stock rom (tweaked w/o bloats)...everything is great...but still the GPS is giving me issues. If the issue is RADIO related, can someone just tell me which radio is the real At&t stock radio? There are a few of them out there and i am not sure now which one is the TRUE radio....also if there is any other tweaks you guys think i should do, please elaborate as i am about to throw my phone to the nearest lake LOL.
Thanks.

Either post in the CM7 thread or in the general section. This doesn't belong in the dev section. Also look for the thread AngelDeath wrote, it will help with gps issues.

Yup - I followed step 1 and 2 (flash radio and RIL) twice, and my GPS is back. Hasn't worked for the last 3 or 4 ROM/Radio combos I've had. I've tried every GPS "fix" on these forums. But flashing ATT's latest Radio/RIL (from your thread) restored GPS functionality for me.
please show me exactly where i need to find this fix...went to your link and didn't find anything. Thanks for your help
Regarding the posting in the wrong section, i didn't see this CM7 section....and since i Don't have CM7 it doesn't apply.... i am back at stock. Thanks for your concern though

Do these steps:
Instructions
Prerequisites:
A basic knowledge of flashing ROMs and Radios on the HTC Inspire 4G and ADB commands
S-Off HTC Inspire 4G with CWM Recovery and AT&T service
MicroSD card inserted in phone
Root capable file explorer (I prefer Root Explorer, as it can set permissions)
Download the following three files and extract to the location of your choice on your SD Card: MultiUpload
Steps:
NANDROID BACKUP BEFORE BEGINNING!
1. Place PD98IMG.zip(12.39a.60.19x_26.06.06.30_M) on root of SD Card (location: \mnt\SDCard) Reboot into bootloader to install updated Radio(If necessary, if you have already flashed this radio you do NOT need to reflash radio.)
2. Once radio is installed, reboot into ClockworkMod Recovery and install the Speed Boost .zip from CWM. This includes the updated RIL files for the radio as well as propeditor for the next step

Upgrading firmware/radio on rooted Thunderbolt

I'm very confused about this topic, and have searched and read a lot, and am still not sure I understand. I have a rooted Thunderbolt, with S-OFF, firmware: 1.12.605.6, baseband: 1.16.00.0223r.
If I install an official update RUU from Verizon.. will it simply unroot my phone and provide me the latest update? or will it actually brick the phone?
If it will brick the phone, is there a way around this? Un-rooting, updating, re-rooting?
I'm experiencing some data connectivity issues and thinking an update may help me. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!
Do not install a full RUU. There are radio leaks in the development forum, use one of those.

1 Make Sure you rename it PG05IMG.zip and put it in the root of your SD Card
2 Flash it like you would through HBOOT (Power OFF Tbolt and power on while holding Volume)

This notes it's for MR2 based ROM's only. I'm using the original Pre-OTA firmware from Verizon, so my understanding is that I can't use this.
Regardless, I just flashed using the new deodexed, rooted, radio and rom from the development forum and it worked great. Thanks for the responses.
HELP!

So I also have the same setup, and pretty n00bish, the TB is my 1st Android based phone, and I flashed it on the 2nd day, and have the same exact settings you had. Virizon is trying to shove a firmware update down my throat and I keep declining.
Can you please point me to the instructions you followed so I can also do the same thing.... THANKS!!!
UPDATE: I followed these instructions: forums.androidcentral.com/thunderbolt-rooting-roms-hacks/77350-guide-how-backup-restore-install-roms-thunderbolt.html
Good ROM to try
Try out the Eaton ROM 1.5.3 with the MR2.5 radio...if you search Eaton ROM 1.5.3 on Google it will take you to the correct forum and they have easy instructions to follow, you shouldnt have any issues and this ROM is flawless

[Q][RESOLVED] Flashed Radio - Cannot find networks

EDIT: Ignore this post! I had flashed using install from zip within recovery, used fastboot to push the .img instead and it works again! Hope this helps someone in the future (or rather hope that it is never ever needed again)
Please help!
I flashed the KF1 Radio for I9020 found in the main post on the dev forum, had no luck so tried reflashing the JK8 radio which is what my phone originally came with. This didn't work, so I restored my ClockworkMod Recovery backup (which I assumed would contain the /efs folder) and I'm still not getting connections!
Have I seriously messed up my phone here?
Edit: Was going to post some info on it, but just discovered that Baseband Version is Unknown, previously this was I9020XXJK8 I believe. I take it then that the ROM backup doesn't touch /efs at all then? Bugger. Anybody know what I can do short of sending it back?

HTC One S radios?

I'm seeing all these posts about updated radios and s-off, but I really am not following, because I feel like I am jumping into a discussion midconvo and so I am lost on a couple of things.
My phone says 1.64 not 1.5x or whatever. How do I get it to 1.7x?
To my knowledge, I cannot flash this update via CWM, I need stock recovery, so basically I need to revert my phone back to stock recovery? Once I revert it to stock recovery, do I flash the update via recovery or through an adb push?
Hopefully i'm making sense, but if im not, then at least you know how clueless I am, and would be able to guide me.
I really appreciate any and all help! Thanks everyone!

1.7x is the rom base that is used which includes an updated radio, for example TMO US roms have a 1.58 base as the OTA has not come out yet. In europe the OTA came out for 1.78 base with updated radios. If you follow the guide i link below you can get updated to the latest radio, and can have more confidence that you are on the latest radio. That being said you can still run the same radio that you currently have on new roms with a 1.7x base but your radio wont be the most updated.
here is a great post from the other thread with exact instructions

[Q] Radio version and flashing

I can't really find an answer to this, so I hope someone will shed some light for me. I cam3 off 1.73 stock. After rooting and unlocking bootloader, I flashed Clean Rom SE. Now build number shows as 1.85.502.3 and Kernel 3.0.8-01158. Did this ROM also flash my radio via boot.img? Or do I still have a radio from 1.73, how can I tell. I have been experiencing weird network drops where I get no signal and have to turn on airplane mode on and off to get it back, like some of the people on the forum, so was hoping new radio would solve that. Or do I have to RUU first to update everything then flash custom ROM? Thank you in advance.
Unless something has changed that I am unaware of your still on the radio from 1.73 the Rom.zip has the boot image enclosed (kernel) but not the radio. You can flash the radio separately here is a link to the flash files for radios
