[Q] HD2 AmericanDroid GB233 CM7 volume button problem - General Questions and Answers

Dears
I jumped from iPhone to HD2, and flashed it with AmericanDroid GB233 CM7. Everything is great and run smoothly and I love it very much, and think I would not go back to iPhone ^ ^.
However, I found a little bug that the left volume up/down button does not work. There's no response pressing the up/down keys when in main page, sound setup page, listen music, watch video..etc... They only response when the screen is locked.
Does anyone have the same issue as mine?
Much appreciated someone can help. Thanks.
regards
Matthew

HTC HD2 Leo & IGO volume button problem

Hi guys..
When i press the "left arrow" button (near of shutdown button) on my HTC HD2 IGO volume is up... Do you have any idea to solve this problem ???
? i'm still waiting
Same problem here and I'm searching too! So all I can I say so far is... you're not alone ^^
My left arrow button also randomly stops working
i have flashed to and SD based ROM "CMYLXGO" and some NAND based ROM's, and the left arrow and sometimes the windows emblem button randomly stops working.
any suggestions would be appreciated.
me too. When i try to change volume when i'm in the music onglet, there is no reponse

(Q) Music player hardbutton control

hello,
i just wanted to ask, if there was a program that would re assign the hardware buttons (or just one) to make the music player pause while the screen lock is on? i get quite annoyed when walking around, or into market, listening to music, and then when i have to pay, i have pull my hd2 out, unlick the screen, scroll over the music app, and then hit pause... lock the screen again, and put it back in my pocket... just to do the same thing again as soon as im done paying.
i could take my headphones off (earbuds) but that is getting annoying really quickly too. i just thought if one you reassign the home button. or the call send button to play/pause the music player... and/or the others to skip tracks, without unlocking the screen. (similair to the volume rocker)
and, i once saw (or think i did) an app that would make the volume changing less dramatic, so it wasnt such a huge difference between one click up and one down... like 1db or something (or one bar i dunno)... because i would like to find a nice volume in the middle, but an stuck with: none, low, medium, or high.
any help woudl be greatly appreciated.
sorry if its the wrong section.
thanks!
yeah great idea!

(IDEA) Volume Rocker as Camera Button

Another idea...
sorry if anyone is getting annoyed with me posting ideas all the time, and nothing else.
maybe there is already an app like this, i havent found one though...
i was taking pictures today, and couldnt help but notice, if you turn it (hd2/leo) upside down in landscape mode, the volume rocker (volume up, the top end) is in the perfect place for a hardware camera button, to actually take the photo. with the softkey camera button, its a little awkard... but the volume rocker would proved a nice feel to taking a photo, and improve things like timing, maybe.
Also, you can't listen to music while taking photos anyway, let alone make a call, so actually, in that moment in camera mode, those buttons are sitting around with nothing to do...
but, alas, i know nothing about things like this... mapping hardware buttons and such.
i should learn, but right now time is just something i dont have too much of.
let me know what you think, and if there is an app like this already, please, link it!
personally i think the "pick up" key would make a nice "shutter" using the volume rocker as zoom in and out. This topic has come up several times about mapping the shutter to a button.

Shutter!!!! thats the word i was looking for..
I think it would be great if these functions could be configured by the user.
i think for me, the pick up key and other buttons would make a better zoom.. but i think the volume rocker has potential as a zoom function given that it is in fact, a rocker.
but the zoom on the hd2 isnt very substantial, that could nee improvement too.. if at all possible.
found
found this:

try it
on the pro2 with the KB config app i used to always remap the vol up key to take pictures but for some reason when i remap the key the same way i have for a long time, it just wont work any more!!! its to bad because i used to love having this as a option!!!

Faulty volume up button

Hey everybody, this is my first post on xda , so please don't flame me with " Wrong category " replies and stuff like that.
I own a Sansung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300T. Everything is fine with it, except for a stupid little volume up button. Before you jump to conclusions, the volume rocker is not the problem. What I've done is removed the volume rocker and used a pin to press the ACTUAL VOLUME TACTILE BUTTON. The volume down works perfectly, but no matter how much pressing, depressing, and holding, the volume up tactile won't do jack s***. Ive had to make do with just pressing down then using the on screen slider to turn it up. Frustrating.
I haven't modified the Android (4.3 Jelly Bean) or installed a custom kernel or anything like that, everything is OEM
Anyway I could fix this myself?
Thanks for your support,
