Gingerbread Update Enhancements - Thunderbolt General

What exactly will Gingerbread bring to the Thunderbolt in the way of enhancements since it features Sense? Any comparisons from other HTC phones that went from Froyo to Gingerbread?

G2X vs O2X

If you had a choice between the two, which would you pick and why? I was thinking of getting a 2x but I got confused by the two different versions.
Well, it really comes down to a choice of software: stock Android (G2x) vs. LG overlay (O2x). I personally like stock Android because it is faster and simpler. Updates become available sooner for the stock as well (Gingerbread is still not available for O2x).
Depends what 3g bands you need?

Thats a lie lg hasn't released 2.3 ox2 which happens to be the g2x with o2x's name on it lol

Up in canada anyways

I think o2x is better since it comes with radio tuner and g2x is a stripped down version of it. I know people can always make stock Roman for o2x.

Question about stock Sense 3.0

Will this come to our phones without having to root? Finally got Gingerbread up and running and a few themes from a post to work but cannot find anything about Sense that doesn't include rooting

I don't think we will get sense 3.0. The devs port 3.0 over from other devices so I think rooting is the only way you can get it. Though it seems very confusing and overwhelming at first rooting is really very simple and opens your phone up to all kinds of possibilities you might want to give it a try

On the HTC Twitter page, they said it will eventually come to the other devices, but it won't be a full version because we don't have dual core processors. I have sense 3.0 after rooting my phone and it runs just fine, so that was upsetting to read.

[Q] Stock gingerbread themes for AR?

I'm currently running ARHD 3.0.4 and love the ROM, and the sense UI. I was wondering if there was a way to get the stock Gingerbread notification bar and icons as I hate the Sense ones. If this is not possible can someone direct me to some roms that do have the gingerbread bar so I can take a look at them.
The bar can be done using a simple Sensee theme like thyparency

I am also trying to find a GB theme. All of these ROM Developers that have something close have it muddied with a bunch of other ugly junk.
I too would love this

Ice cream sensewich.

So I think this would be a winning name for a 4.0 sense rom. Who agrees

I absolutely agree... now all you gotta do is make the ROM!
I'm newly rooted and learning. I've only been rooted for 5 months and flashing things for 3. So I'm not quite at that level yet.

Are there any sense 4.0 leaks for any device yet? If not I can just do a quick build.prop edit and we got an ICS rom

That would be great. What's the eta on that. I give you till the end of today or I'm keeping the name
