What version of cwm are you running? I rooted then flashed cwm from rm.. I've seen been told that you shouldn't flash the new cwm...? I'm going to downgrade but I need to know what version I should use.

I reverted from 2.4 to 2.2 from a suggestion I read, when I tried to wipe data/cache using 2.2 it would not correctly wipe.. Re flashed 2.4 and it worked like a charm..

yeah you should be using 2.4. If you have issues, open rom manager, hit menu, clear download cache, then menu, go to settings, and check delete recovery, and then reinstall 2.4.
Any version prior to 2.4 will not wipe data/cache correctly.

Thanks I was looking for that info

thanks! got it working again

Using the newest version which seems to have fixed all the problems.

Someone Please Help

I am at a stand still. I have been trying to get my phone to like it's supposed to, but to no avail. I used kb5 froyo for my base then I used both the kc1 and kh2 to get gb bootloaders. I got my Ext4 partition on my sdcard set to 2048 as well. After that I used the Valhalla ROM for my first gb rom. Everything worked like it was suppose to, but I keep losing my apps on boot, and if I'm on a website that uses a lot of flash, my phone reboots. Even when I select the restart/save in preferences my phone freezes up and then reboots. So I'm asking if someone who is familiar with this rom to please help me.

Did you do a factory reset after installing busy box but before doing the ext4 conversion?
Which browser are you using?

I flashed busybox because every time I tried to install from market it wouldn't work. As for the browser, I'm using the default browser.

So you're saying after I flash the rom, install busybox, then factory reset my phone. After that enable voodoo then reboot my phone. If I do the factory reset, do I have to reflash the rom? Or can I just enable voodoo and just boot the phone. Also when I do the factory reset, do I need to wipe cache and dalvik cache as well?

You don't reflash the rom after the factory reset. I didn't wipe data or cache and am having no issues.

I believe the stock browser is not functioning well with gingerbread, consider "dolphin hd" or "opera" from the market many will agree that they are better and faster.

I would just factory reset, let suit for ten minutes, instal the busy box installer (I believe it's from Stevenson) version 1.19, reboot recovery, factory reset again, enable voodoo.
also, are you restoring apps.

I had a similar issue, this is exactly what I did:
I flashed kc1,
Then flashed kh2 leak(4 files)
Then flashed Dr Honk's kg4 kernel (for root)
Let sit for ten minutes
(All of the above I did with Odin)
Rebooted to recovery
Wiped everything fixed permissions
Made certain voodoo was disabled and off
Checked mounts (ummu)
Flashed ROM
Let sit for 10 minutes (without doing ANYTHING)
Rebooted
Logged into the market...
from there I did everything I suggested above.
There should be no need the partition sd card so I 'd delete that partition.
I know it's tedious but worth it in the end!
Hope this helped

I have a quick question, how do I remove the partition on my sdcard?
I use the mini partition tool from this link...

[Q] can't shut down or restart

after i installed ics smoothie rom on my skyrocket, i have problem to shut down the phone or to restart. i have to pull of the battery to shut it down. I love the rom as it has no other problem other than this issue. anybody has same problem here?
What version of cwm are you using? I had the same problem and my older cwm was the cause. I flashed cwm touch found in the dev section with Odin wiped cache and dalvick cache and fixed permissions and it fixed my problem

What is the latest version of CWM?

Ive recently ran into a problem where every time I installed a rom my Wi-Fi doesn't work. No matter what do( wipe davlik, wipe cache, wipe device) nothing seems to work. Plus if I reboot in CWM it boots right back into cwm. I'm currently on v5.8.3.4

Edgehood tw ROM help

I have been following the ROM for awhile and tried to flash 1.1 last night. (Now I see 2 is coming so I will wait). My question is I have only flashed beans and aokp. Beans had the aroma install like version 2 of this ROM will have which I simply install from clock work. Do you install 1.1 that way as well or do you flash from Odin? I tried to install from zip using clockwork but it just reboots to stock. Thanks for the help
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
Install 1.1 from recovery. NOT Odin. Be sure to wipe data beforehand in cwm or twrp.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
Sorry I'm noobish...but used clockwork wiping all cache ect...then installed zip from external card. It says installing update then I reboot. It installs faster than normal. On reboot it just seems so stock. Maybe I'm just retarded and it installed fine. Anyway to tell in settings?

Incomplete update.

Hi,
I just downloaded and installed the full update for my Shield Tablet ROW LTE and it seems incomplete. I did a full wipe (via TWRP) before installing and the install seemed to go OK, but when I reboot i get a screen like in the pic attached (sorry for poor quality). No nav bar at bottom, no notification bar, no wall paper, no lockscreen. Any ideas what could be the problem? I've reinstalled a few times but no luck.
Thanks for any help.
Are you sure you loaded the correct file?
Have you tried a factory reset?
Otherwise, try to clear cache in TWRP recovery and reinstall the rom?

Dude the SAME thing happened to me just today! Flashing old backups, and the OTA files, the problem persists.
Edit: Actually, I switched to CWM, and it worked just fine... I can only imagine it has something to do with /boot, which as far as I know you can't wipe in TWRP.
Which version of TWRP are you guys using? The one based on v.2.8.2.0 or v.2.8.5.0?
If v.2.8.5.0, try the v.2.8.2.0 instead as some have reported problems with v.2.8.5.0.

Nope I had the issue with 2.8.2.0, the 2.8.5.0 build doesn't even work for me haha.
I guess I'm sticking with CWM for now >.>
I'll try CWM using latest TWRP and continues to fail. I am definitely using the correct update zip.

Did factory reset, definitely correct update zip, reinstalled at least ten times, wiping cache etc. Nothing works. Will flash cwm later and try with that

OK, to update I tried CWM and both versions of TWRP to no avail. I had to download the full LTE RoW Recovery OS Image and flash it via fastboot and now all is well. Thanks for the comments and suggestions.
