Can the Thunderbolt be flashed to Cricket? Or is it too soon?
Anyone done it yet?
i think chances are less as it is running on UIM card from Verizon
No there is basically no chance of getting cricket cause of the sim card.

AT&T lied.
I hear that there are 4g sims, but speeds don't seem to be effected by swapping.
The 4G sim card is only for LTE wince HSPA still uses 3G or 3.5G a new sim card will make no difference.

you dont really need a new sim. i am using my sim card from 2006 and i get 3-4Mbps download and 2Mbps upload on the ATT network. sim card really doesnt play into it from what i can tell.

Hi all. Just wondering if the Inspire can be unlocked and ran using a T-Mobile USA SIM card and if it'll work? Will it be limited?
Sent from my HTC Vision using Tapatalk
It'll be EDGE only. No 3G or 4G. T-mo and AT&T use different frequencies.
Just get the Nexus S. Inspire is a great phone but so is the NS

You tryin to sell something that us free, and if you sim is working why would you wanna change it?besides that you would have to register the sim card under your number, you got some kinda access to vzw's system?

I didn't know they were free I was just saying, but you have to call an 800 number to set up the sim (activate) just like you had to do to your bolt when you first got it. Why would they send a new sim card with each new phone? Knowing I already had one? verizon and the insurance company. you never know a new 1 might be better my data speed just a thought?

Your sim has nothing to do with speed. You can't sell something that is free.

Why are people paying for them if they are free? Ain't nothing free

They don't always send out a new sim card with replacement phones. They sometimes do it to eliminate the possibly of a bad sim.

I don't know if I am putting this in the right place but I have a motorola backflip (temp phone, using a samsung infuse now) and I am wondering how can I unlock it so it can be used with another network? Like T-Mobile because I really want to give it to a friend of mine who is in need of a cell phone but she is on T-Mobile. My Backflip is rooted, and running cyanogen mod 7.1... so with all that done im wondering what can I flash to the device to allow it to work with a T-Mobile sim card?

So here's the situation. I plan on activating on Sprint. Then waiting until my contract expires and then heading to T-Mobile. Anyone know of any issues I might run into. I would think it would be as simple as a SIM card swap.

The only thing that you might have to do is manually enter the T-Mobile APN. Probably not though, I have a Sprint N5 and my APN's were set automatically when I put in my T-mobile Sim.

Simple as a SIM swap. I bought a Sprint nexus 5 and am running it on straight talk with no issues. Just needed a reboot. You might have to add the correct APN settings for your carrier. But that is pretty straight forward.
Ok thanks for the info. I just wanted to make sure. Didn't want to accidentally lock it to Sprint somehow.
