I'm loving these G2X love threads. It's about time we heard some of the positives of this phone over all the complaints. Not to say there aren't some legit issues for some people, but not all of us got lemons.

Of course the G2X is a lambo, but you want to know what else it is? A chic magnet! I was at the library today sitting next to a dime piece, as I reached for my phone to answer a call (I forgot to put the phone on vibrate) she glanced over and asked me what kind of phone I had. A story about 2.3

Sorry this is general chit chat but I went to best buy to get my nexus and had cm7 on my evo. Here is the deal:
Me:evo getting nexus s
wife:evo
son:bb tour getting my evo
When they did the swap on the lines my evo with cm7 wasn't working so my son handed it to the salesman w/out me knowing about it. And the salesman was practically jumping saying how did you get 2.3 when its not even released? I was red in the face and told my wife why did he give that to him. I got home put .ruu on it and fixed it for him. WOW never again will i give a salesman a rooted cell; well actually my son did. What an experience. I love my nexus s but starting to want the 3d now.

I have the Evo, the 3D, and the Nexus S 4G. The 3D has a better screen (yes, actually better than AMOLED! More accurate colors, no blue-tint, and brighter) and is dual-core and 1.2 GHz and has double the RAM. It feels just as snappy as the NS4G. I'd say stick with the NS4G until they root the 3D, unless you love Sense.
The Evo is kind of like a Nexus One, a ton of ROMs and mods.

It got it very recently so the idiot salesman probably didn't know about the update. Also, he probably was baffled by lack of Sense.

Seeing this thread in development section ruined my whole day :/ made me forget about the update we were suppose to get....

They tend to not care but some wont service it until it returns to stock. Most sprint employees use roms as well

Girlfriend wins, but seriously that's a pretty small thing to complain about unless you are spending hours looking at your shiny little phone instead of staring into her eyes................turn off your phone and live!!!

Title was misleading I'm not choosing between them. She just hates my phone. Didn't know if I was the only one who seems to be diagnosed "obsessed" by the girlfriend lol.

For my wife, she's not a geek but writes nearly everything down to stay organized. She had a Pantech Feature phone. So when my upgrade came, I got a Captivate. She wasn't too impressed until I got Netflix on it then told her that she can search all things Google with it and check her email.
So she says that when her upgrade came up, she'll upgrade to an Infuse, give it to me and switch SIMs with the Captivate and she'll take that. Cappy is running Continuum.
Since then I never hear the end of her praises for the phone and me. She loves Evernote and we share stuff all the time. She barely turns on her PC now(which used to be mine but that's another talk show).
Plus I'm running the Infuse....WIN!!!!!
Help your woman love the Super AMOLED goodness and ... you'll get a 'reward'!!!

My wife does not say anything at all,poor girl.Anytime and every time I sit on the sofa or recliner I start using this beast.Always hanging out with my Streak.She says you always find something to do with it,regardless of what you do,I try not to show it to her much so she doesn't get hooked.
And of course the Netflix app just make it super duper much better.

My wife hated it and always complained about my free time I spent with my smartphone habit. She is an iphone user, so her opinion doesn't matter anyway!
My new GF is almost as bad as me and thinks it's hot that I can do all this cool stuff. She is getting a Nexus S this weekend and is so excited. She uses a Nexus One now. I'm getting a SGS2 next month.

Considering they sell on eBay for under $300 LNIB he may as well buy one there and sell his Sensation. The Sensation's going for over $400 on eBay. That way he'll make $100 vs. giving you $200. You may like your phone but the market determines price/value.

Dont, the nexus is actually an inferior phone to the one x in a lot of ways. Firstly the camera. And secondly its using a last gen snapdragon processor. Wayy more heat and lesser performance. And dont expect the nexus to even come close to the hox in battery life (owned both phones)
the only thing the nexus has on the hox is jellybean, but that isnt worth all the cons.
Total ripoff trade for you imo.
