Hi guys,
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.samsung.remoteTV&pli=1
So - this was launched but will not install on the NS (despite it being Samsung). Is there a way to modify the apk to allow it to install??
Cheers, Rich
I think I read somewhere that it requires the Samsung touchwiz framework which is only in the stock galaxy s devices: captivate, vibrant, etc.
In short, not possible unless the whole framework/rom is ported.

Moved to Q&A
that is very disappointing Can't the frameworks be removed and installed on a different machine - without installing a new ROM?

Hi All,
I am new here, and sorry if this has been posted before, however I haven't had any luck finding it.
I have recently rooted my Samsung Fascinate, and am looking for a complete list of bloatware that is safe to remove using TitaniumBackup.
I am currently running 2.1 -update1
Thanks in advance!
Head over to the Fascinated forums, we have a ton of options. You can upgrade to Froyo, run cyanogen or MIUI, and theme and clean to your heart's content.

Hey guys, I looking for multiboot on my nexus s i9023, and I found boot manager apps on android market
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.drx2.bootmanager&hl=it
, but this app working on many htc and galaxy nexus.
Why this app doesn't work on nexus s?
I asked the dev about Samsung devices and he said that Samsung change the path of some init files from root of the nand to the kernel. He said also that apart from the Nexuses from Sammy, other phones can't really do boot manager and that he will try to implement the Nexus S again soon.
Hello guys, I'm not very advanced in these topics, but I've read this two topics on how to root S5301 first:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2291865
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261823
Does it work with S5301L? I guess that "L" just goes for Latinamerica but they are the same thing.
My main objetive is to install Android's Stock ICS (without Touchwiz, I want it to look like Nexus ICS with its blue icons in status bar), and also try another root features.
PS: I couldn't made use of the search engine, so I don't know if this topic is already discussed.
Hey all..
This is my first post here so....
I want to start a project just for me
I have my original ROM and I have used the kitchen to extract everything... Now I have 700meg of APKs to potentially remove.. First job and question is to find out which ones I can remove please ?
My phone is a Samsung galaxy note 2 n7105 lte it is a optus carrier branded ROM.
Currently I have cm11 installed... Ummmm... I like long walks on the beach
After I remove these unwanted apps I'd like to replace some of them I.e. the default browser with say Firefox and the SMS default it to something etc.
Any advice or links to other post with my same question would be great
Thanks....
Pavle.
Hi,
I was asking myself if someone ported the HTC camera and lockscreen to other phones.
I already tried to install the apk's just like that but it doesn't work. Can this work ?
I am running CM 13 on a Samsung Galaxy s5 Mini
Thanks.
camera is already ported.please use search before opening a thread.lockscreen needs framework to work so no ports
this might work for you too. if not there is another thread
