Password Protect

Hi guys when I first setup my phone it asked me if I wanted to password protect it and I clicked yes. Now every 3 minutes the phone locks and asks me for my password, this is a good security feature, but its getting annoying. I cant find out where I can change the settings so it locks up every 10 minutes..Please help.

The button on the top left of the screen that turns the screen on and off, my finger always hits this button when I am typing and it turns off the screen and when I press the button to turn the screen back on it takes me the home screen without saving what I was typing (i.e. a sms or something else)...is there anyways around this?

Hey, to take care of your password issue, go to Start > Settings > Lock and in there you will see the settings on how long your phone will wait to lock again after inactivity (after you type your password). You can also use this area to chang your password. Hope this helps.
As far as your issue with the power button, I'm sorry but I don't have any suggestions.

At&t S6 pissing me off too many Bugs

As stated above I have the 64gb AT&T S6 and so far I found bugs
1st Home button when in the APP draw only goes back to the APP Draw after closing a APP
2nd Media Vol is always off even after I check all my apps to make sure I didn't mute something
3rd listen to Bluetooth volume is up and when the phone screen goes black the volume shut down to Zero when working out .
I have to manually turn it up with the screen off. but if I get a text message that wakes my screen it goes back to zero
4th cant access camera menu open up than closes
5th cant access Samsung gear app pass the main screen they also close after I try to open it
6th finger scanner is set to screen off and even when not in a trusted location it wont lock. just swipe and open phone
7th camera way to much on double press from the off position
going to do a factory reset and see but sux because I have to log in and DL my apps
anyone having these problem and is there a fix before I wipe and reload

Not sure about fixes but I have an att model and none of these issues.
As for the camera settings from what I've seen you'll need to factory reset. As for the lock screen not locking, is it connected to a Bluetooth device, it treats that as as trusted place and won't engage the finger print lock, this can be disabled in settings I believe.
The rest of it I'm not sure as like I said, I don't have these issues on my end.

Note 7 Pro Screen lock pattern forgot how to recover without erasing data

Hello Mods,
In this lock down periods my kids always take my phone, however I changed my pattern lock for screen and same day I unlocked my screen lock by finger. After two days when I turned my phone off and on it asked for pattern lock and my bad I somehow forgot what it was tried many times now it taking 64 minutes. Today is 3rd day and I am not able to recall my pattern.
Writing down all pattern sequence and predictable patterns to be but till now I am not able to unlock my screen lock.
Earlier it used to ask forgot password and reset through MI account or Google Account but now it is saying to wipe your data only option by vol up and power button.
I dont want to hard reset my phone I want my data it is my stupidity I forgot my password and even after trying many attempts not able to unlock screen. Even when I used my finger the screen got lit up but not allowing me to go.
I remember my MI account and Google account but there are no option where I can unlock or reset my phone.
Please advise me in this any way to reset by writing email to MI or any else.
I want my phone to be unlock without reset or erasing data.
Your help will be so kind to me.

I have attached the zip file, download it and flash it on the custom recovery. This will only work if you have a custom recovery and unlocked bootloader. !!

if u have custom recovery installed then flash remove lock zip. else afaik there is no way u can save ur data nd unlock it.

My self same problem. I Forgot my note 7 pro pattern lock. Please any one help to unlock without data lose. Because all data r important.

Pattern lock suddenly not recognized (bug)?

Samsung A21 keeps saying that I'm using the wrong pattern.
Steps taken to try and resolve:
Samsung account, find my mobile or whatever it's called. I was able to log in and see the location of the phone but when I tried to unlock, it said that remote unlock was not turned on, on the phone.
Google account: Said "notification sent" and that was it, nothing more.
Last thing I want but would do is a factory reset. Problem is, it asks for the pattern to shut down the phone.
Was going to pull the battery to shut it down, but the back is glued on and I don't want to damage the case even slightly. It's my mothers phone. If it was mine, I'd take the chance.
I'm at a freaking loss and can't believe this bug exists to this day.
Edit: I've set it to the download mode screen (the screen stays on and will drain the battery) and will let the battery die. I think, once dead, I should be able to plug in and quickly hold the buttons and get into recovery mode and reset it. Yes no maybe?

[SOLVED] Half of the screen flickers black between unlock and home screen

Couldn't find any similar topic except in forums for s10+, OnePlus and other phones. Sorry if I missed anything.
As in the subject, after unlocking, approximately half of the screen flickers black and goes to the home screen. It takes less than a second. Always top half, bottom half shows home screen right after unlock. This does not happen on each unlock, but also, there is no pattern - it can be after 5 or 30 unlocks, it can be after 5 minutes or 10 hours of not using the phone. It started mid-July and not only annoys but is starting to worry me. Solutions from other threads didn't help. For example:
Fingerprint sensor problem - I don't use it, I have pin lock.
Samsung Pay issue - I don't even have it available, so, don't use it either .
Animations - setting them off did not help.
I cannot guess anymore what would be the cause, if it's some app which wakes up after unlock or what else. The only thing I've changed (except updating apps) was adding another sim card, but my tiny little brain cannot find connection. I didn't test removing it as I need this sim active and don't have backup phone right now. Also, I would really like to avoid resetting the phone...

are using Samsung or some third party launcher. Did you wipe cache? Latest firmware updates?

Yes, I did both, firmware update and cache wiping, no change. I'm using stock launcher.

did you try in safe mode to exclude some app causing it

Thanks for trying and all the steps. There's nothing like that where I live, neither any advisory place except for hotline. I can drop it at their service but will need to wipe it down before, which I keep as the last resort. I'll keep waiting for another firmware update and if nothing changes then I'm willing to do the hard reset. I just hope it's not a symptom of some virus - I'm trying to be most careful, scanning device periodically, didn't root, so I naively count on being safe...

hi again, just to let you know, I think I know what was causing this flickering and now I feel silly . Home screen rotation. I had this option turned on, and it's possible that sometimes, when I put my phone on the table, home screen rotates to horizontal position. Of course it locks after few seconds. I've noticed it completely accidentally, because one time, when screen flickered black there was slow-motion rotation animation in the background (which I've never seen before). That's why flickering was completely random to me, not connected to any type of notification whatsoever. Well, it's not, it has a pattern . I've checked it plenty of times and each time I lock my phone with home screen in horizontal view, but unlock in vertical, half of the screen is flickering black. That's it, at least I believe it must be this, because it happens each time and never when I lock my screen in vertical position.
