If you had read the kernel thread this was explained. Because the kernel is still beta the dev, morfic, simply hasn't updated the build.prop file for the kernel to read 2.3.2 instead of 2.3.1. It is simply a textual error and has no effect on the real version you are running. In the future, please read and search before posting.

yeah i know but i heard this was a beta kernel. im looking for the stovepipe 0.32 kernel that's included with the pancake rom.
that should be the most recent kernel that ghbil released, it was burried in a thread on android forums that didnt have the title of kernel, I think it was .32 or later. I know I also have a kernel from ghbil that has the overclocking ability, that doesnt really work, for setcpu built into it, and I think it was .40 but this kernel I posted came out after that, if you could report back on what version number it is that would be great so I can rename the file.

the kernel I posted isnt the .31 beta because I also have that one, if that is what you are referring to above.
just tried it, it's a stovepipe but not 0.32 it says 1.5c.
hopefully bike will come on here and he can post it considering he made the pancake rom.
It's a modified .27 kernel. Not sure what it does, meaning whats been tweeked.
here, i took this out of gumbo 1.5c, which has the 0.32 kernel. flash in recovery.
PM me if you want GCK .40 TEST OC
heres the 0.32 kernel for anybody that needs it... thanks to gbhil for the help!

Can it be flashed on 2.1 roms?

Weird issue: Beautiful Widgets+SZ 2.1=problems on cm7

I'll be honest, I'm not sure if it's the kernel or cm7, but the bottom line is that adding superclock 4×2 results in super laggy adw ex. I wish I would have added it prior to flashing the kernel, but who would've imagined that a widget would cause a collapse like this. Additionally, the unlock animations do not work. Fyi.
Feel free to chime in.
Your using a eclair kernel (2.1) for cm7?

wheres the download link? after all this is a DEV right??

They are saying since you posted this in the dev section, they want to download whatever you are dev...
That said I run sz 2.1 on cm 7 with adw ex and have zero issues with bw.

Here is the discussion on that kernel where you can post your Question. They also have official forums which you ask Questions if you think the kernel is the issue.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=917755
Here is the CM7 discussion. Post here too, maybe it's CM7 related like you think it might be.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=956187
The point that people are making is that this is Android Development. Not Q&A. The Evo forums also have dedicated Q&A sections.
As to your problem, flash a different kernel? Or wipe /system and /boot and reflash CM7 + GApps to get CM7 stock kernel back and a clean CM7 install while preserving /data (as in, don't wipe data).
Edit: To the guy thinking this is Eclair kernel... the kernel version is 0.2.1. For some reason people like to call it 2.1. It's a 2.6.37 based Gingerbread kernel.

I can appreciate that, and I suppose I should've posted in the nosbc SZ thread. Sorry about that.

[Q] [i9020-T] Trinity UV Kernel Flashing

Hey everyone I'm kinda new to the whole kernel flashing business and I'm trying to flash the UV Trinity kernel to my Nexus S. From what I've read I only need to flash the zip from recovery without having to do any sort of wiping. The main problem when I tried this is that the phone went into a boot loop and wouldn't go past the boot animation for the kernel. I'm not sure if it's because the kernel is based off of 2.3.4 and I'm currently running CM-7.0.3. Morfic's thread indicated that the kernel was made for CM7 so I don't know what's going wrong here.

You have a ROM based on 2.3.3, meaning it's not compatible with a kernel made for 2.3.4.
Try flashing the latest cm7 and then the kernel.

Would it work if I tried a CM7 variant that's based off of the 2.3.4 source? I'm going for a stable phone and unsure about the nightly builds at this point. If not I'll probably just wait CM to update and release the rom.

[Q]Netarchy 1.4.1?

Was using netarchy 1.4.0, saw there was an update, and updated. Now my nexus s 4g won't even get past the google screen....advice/help appretiated.
Flash previous kernel you had or any other one. Or restore a backup
lol....right. thx man
So what made you post a new thread instead of asking this in the netarchy thread?
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using xda premium
Pretty sure he couldn't post in the netarchy thread. I don't think I could post in the Nexus S Dev board until I hit ten posts...
I had the same problem, I fixed it by wiping cache and dalvik-cache after flashing the kernel.

I don't know, but on the netarchy thread I see that the kernel supports ROMs with a version of gingerbread 2.3.4 or higher.

How i can make my nexus caf ?

can i convert aosp kernal to caf ? and how ?
Flash a CM based rom. CM is caf.
You can't run a caf kernel on an aosp or stock based rom.... As far as I know.
There's custom kernels for aosp or caf... But again, you need the correct kernel for the rom you're using.
Build the ROM/kernel from CAF repositories or cherry-pick a whole lot of CAF commits from them.

Can't help there. Never heard of that. No longer own an N5.
Did you look through or search the cm12 thread for similar issues?

You need twrp for caf-based ROMs. Search the forum for it.
