I've installed ADWLauncher Ex on my Nexus S.
The problem I have is that the 1st time the option came up to choose which launcher is used with the Home key, i select "Use as default" on the Nexus launcher ><
Now I can't seem to find the option to change the launcher used by the Home key manually. I've tried going through Settings, but no luck.
Is there an option that I must have missed?
Thanks

After unlocking my phone, I get to my home screen with all my folders etc. As soon as I swipe to the right, I get Google Now!
It's as if it's an always on widget. On my N4, I would invoke Google Now by holding the Home key and swiping upwards (which I can also do with my N5).
Is this something that can be switched off or is this an integrated function of the system?
I'm not looking to switch off Google Now before anybody asks.

As far as I can see the only option would be to either A) Uninstall Google Now, or B) Install a different Home Launcher ... Neither are suitable resolutions to your question. I personally like having it as a home screen since I turned off my softkeys in Lieu of LMS
The only thing I can think of is switch launchers to nova or something similar. You would lose the "OK Google" function from the launcher though., so not a good solution if you use that function. As far as I know there is now way to remove it from the stock launcher.

Long press the homescreen, click settings, then uncheck the Google now option.

Thanks guys.
I don't mind having it but just wasn't sure if it was a feature that can be turned off without completely disabling Google Now.
Battery life is quite impressive on this thing even with it always on!

It does not disable Google now entirely just the extra screen, maybe you should try it before you respond with useless replies.

This page is the same page as if you went into settings from Google Now Directly. This will turn it off.
EDIT:
For Sh*ts n Giggles I went ahead and tested your method. Guess what? It turned off Google Now Entirely.
Hi Guys ,
I am having this weird problem that my Widgets get stuck when ever i restart the phone. They just sit at " Initializing " and nothing happens. I tried UCCW / Zooper / Missed it and all have the same problem
I am on stock 4.4.2 ROm with Xposed + Franco kernel + Nova Prime launcher !. I searched around and found no one facing this problem .
Anyone ?
I tried re-installing Nova Prime . But to no avail. Should i factory reset ? install any other rom ?
Hi,
A bump after about 1 hour is a little fast... the rule is 24 hours
In Nova/Labos (when in settings long press volume down and this setting will apears) have you ticked or unticked "Restart widgets on resume"?
What do you mean by "I tried re-installing Nova Prime . But to no avail."

I am sorry sir. Got carried away a bit apologies .
I could not find the option you are referring to in Nova prime. By re-installing i meant , delete -> then install from playstore

Re,
In Nova go to the general settings (where there is Home, Drawer, Dock, etc...) then longpress on the hardware button of your phone "volume down" and you will see a new setting named "Labos" (just below "Backup and restore"), open it and check if "Restart widgets on resume" is ticked or not.
Yes you can try to re-install Nova, but have you another launcher (stock or...) before?
Have you take a look in the Nova thread?

The setting was ticked or unticked (I don't remember how it is the first time)?
Hello everyone
Yesterday Nova Launcher 5.0 has arrived and comes with pixel like swipe to open drawer and dock backgrounds to draw under navbar.
When I apply to draw under navbar first it works then when I use the navbar it switches back to black background? I hope you understand what I am saying
Can Anyone who tried the new Nova Launcher help me please?
It only works on the home screen
I know that. it was black background at the home screen too. But I solved the problem you need to turn on the transparent notification bar. Now it looks as it should be
Thank you though
Anyone using Nova 5 on B320? Each time I set Nova as the default launcher and press the home button it reverts back to EMUI and I get the Smart Recovery message telling me my phone has recovered from a serious error caused by Nova. Anyone know of a fix?
Thanks

Set Nova as your default launcher.
Black background or u got the stock launcher again ? if u got back to stock then set default if u got black background might be an issue with the app update .
Reverts back to the stock launcher. As for disabling Huawei Home it isn't listed under Apps so how to disable?

This is weird. I never had this problem with Nova.
Maybe something to do with the fact I'm running beta firmware. I've emailed the developer to see if they can can up with anything. Thanks all for your input.

not related to beta or any thing just try to reinstall i download the nova 5 and was awesome ! ...
Hi all, was there ever a solution to this? Using an honor 6x and experiencing same issue. I downloaded and set Nova launcher as default. Works for a while only to revert to home launcher after a warning message "smart recovery- device recovered from a serious failure...".
Previously i had disabled the home launcher and it rendered my device useless until I restored a backup through twrp...
Forces me to uninstall and reinstall Nova to be able to use it.
However this time around I hid Huawei home launcher in magisk and it seemed to last longer without the warning.
Morning All,
as described this is annoying for nova launcher users. So is there a button remapper that works with the note 20u? I can skip the gesture navigation for now if needed. or is there an actual solution for this?
TIA
Could you please elaborate? What do you mean "launcher won't stick? You cannot set Nova as default launcher or what? I'm using Nova Prime and it's working just fine, haven't noticed so far anything unusual. Even the new gestures works with it...

I'm with @Rapier on this one we don't have enough information to help you.
He probably didn't set Nova as the default launcher and it defaults back to One UI every time he restarts

It is set as def launch, when I swipe up it deselect the def launcher so it defaults to the one ui(samsung junk)
maybe more clarification is needed, goto recent screen then gesture the 'back" it will revert to one ui. Or with nav bar press home button and it will continually ask if you want to set as default launcher. Also when you goto default launcher nothing is selected. Hope this clears things up a bit.
That's strange. I have Nova Prime working perfectly since day 1, never faced the issues you're describing. Have you tried to reset to factory then install Nova first thing and try again?
Using Nova also and no problems here.

Check if you installed any new apps.
I faced this issue, when I installed cenlar (bank) app. Once I uninstalled it, it all good.
Did you ever find a writing result for this? I'd really love to know how to fix this issue.

I had this issue on the new update. What I did as a workaround is to first go to app settings and set One UI as default launcher. Then clear its cache. After that, I go to Nova Launcher and set it as the default launcher. As long as you don't restart or turn off your device, it will stick.
Hi, does anyone know how to reset developer options to default? Or can you send me a screenshot of how they are by default?
I have activated them and scrolling through them I have accidentally pressed something but I do not remember how it was before.
Thanks for your time.
Almost at the end of the list, you should have "reset to default values."

Hi, I don't have that option.
Could you send me a screenshot with the default options?
Thank you
Looks like it's about 5 or 6 from the bottom.

Thanks and how do I check that it really restores the default values?
If I leave the HD audio option activated, it remains the same after using that option.
