[Q] Lost Android Market!!

I have a Motorola Photon, and I had tried to get the old Market backet back with a process I found in the forum. It didn't work, and somewhere along the line I lost the Market all together. I tried wiping the phone back to factory and the Market app did not come back. I tried to just install a version from 4Shared, but still doesn't work with any version I install. It says that "com.android.vending has quit unexpectedly" and then it FC's. It only seems to do this when I go to download an app. I can browse and search fine with no problems, just no downloading!! I admit I'm a noob, and probably messed with something I shouldn't, but I figured this would be a nondestructive thing to learn on. Man was I wrong!! This sucks...please help me!!
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

Yes...I was rooted but no custom rom. I don't know how to do that yet. This is going to sound stupid, but what exactly is a custom rom? After I wiped to factory condition I tried to install a vending.apk from 4shared and that still gives me same error. I will uninstall again and try a market.apk now. Is that the same as vending.apk?
A factory reset will only delete user data, it won't put back something that has been removed. You need to get the vending apk for the version you want and instead of installing it normally put it in /system/app. You can do so using Root Explorer or another root level file explorer. If you don't have one installed, I can post the apk of a free one for you. Mount system as r/w and copy/paste the apk into /system/app, then set permissions to rw-r--r--, then reboot. You should have your market back up & running.

That's what I originally tried to do and didn't work, but I will try it again...If you could post an apk of the market you know is good that would be great. Can u post an apk of a root explorer also? I havent checked 4shared yet. Is there another free download service other than 4shared? Thanks for your help!!
Just download Market and install it. If it FC then check the permissions.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1231290
(It's the new market btw. I know you don't want it, but you don't really have a choice at the moment)
Ok so this is weird!! I left the Market that wasn't working installed by mistake. I installed the OTA update that Motorola did, and then re-rooted my phone again. Now the Market is working for the most part!!! Only thing is...it FC's every time iot installs an app. It downloads and installs, but right after it installs it FC's!! It doesn't always close all the way...sometimes just goes to Market home screen. All the functionality seems to be working though, so I can deal with that.
Does anybody know why after the OTA update I can only get EDGE instead of 3G on a Rogers SIM card?
Did you clear Google Services Framework data and Market data?

in sd card you will find a seperate folder for app data if you have installed apps on sd.....if its in internal memory go to data-data and find that app folder check screenshots...and backup that folder before flashing a new rom and paste the folder back where it was to get all app data and setting...this is a lenghty procedure...to save time just copy all the folders instead of single one...this will serve as a app data and setting backup
dont forget to press thanks.....
bricking chances are zeroing these days....i am creating a seperate thread for do's and dont's of flashing read that....

use titanium backup!!
no need of separate apps to take backups of different things...
just a few clicks, and you have all your apps + personal data + app data + cache (optional) backed up, and ready to restore...
and titanium auto restores its data (from previous roms) when you install it in a new rom...
Thanks for the suggestion
I will includE it too

I cant clearly get U.
Anyway..
1. If it's an ordinary app,
U'll need root permissions in case if u want to uninstall it.
2. If u mean it as an app that requires root to work on things,
Then root permission is required even if it is a system app.
Hit thanks rather than typing it now Free

first you need root permission to move apps from data partition to system partition, once you made it as system app it gets root access automatically because system partition user id and group id is 0 that means root. so it has full access
infact all files inside system folder are in userid 0 so all apps get root permission without any restrictions and it will not ask you to give root permission

[Q] How to uninstall apps installed from recovery?

Hi I'm still new so i don't really know much i hope you don't mind me asking this! If i installed something via the clockworkmod recovery can i uninstall it back? If yes, how?
Thats why u need backup. If u can find the exact files that you flashed u can delete them ... And its not easy for mods.
You cant uninstall apps from recovery but you can clear data on what application you want , Clear data means the app has restart like a new apps installed on your devices.
By using aroma file manager (aromafm) By Amarullz from XDA Developers you can do it.
But you need a root.
In cwm/twrp you need to mount all in mount and storage section.
Then go back choose install zip and select aromafm.zip
After that go to system/data/app and find the that you want to clear data and just delete that file. And you're done.

Moving user apps to system apps.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post.
I rooted my Samsung j7 sm700t, I'm trying to move a user app to system app and nothing is working. I've tried we es eplorere and changed permisions, tried lucky patcher, tried system/app/mover same thing.
When I more the app it disappears from user interface but is still in system/app folder.
I've searched a long time on the web but no answers, from what I can tell allot of other people have the same problem.
I'd be super grateful if you can help me out.
Have you installed custom recovery? Try compressing it in .zip & flash it from recovery.

What are you doing? Moving user apps to system? Or moving system apps to user?
After moving the apps, did you immediately reboot to recovery and wipe cache and or Dalvik/ART cache if you have custom recovery? Of you didn't do this then that's probably why you're having issues.
Any time you move apps "to" or "from" /system/app or /system/priv-app, you have to boot to recovery and wipe ONLY the cache partition and Dalvik/ART cache then reboot.
It has to do this because before you make the move, the app is already loaded and has cached data that was created when it was in its original location, after making the move, if that cached data is still in cache then the device thinks and acts as if the app is still wherever you moved it from. This causes a conflict and it doesn't know what to "do" or "not do". Wiping cache and rebooting let's the system load and create new cached data for the apps new location.
Also, did you enable root explorer in ES File Explorer, did you also set mount r/w permissions in ES File Explorer.
Are you using the most up to date SuperSU and updated su binaries?
On a side note I suggest you read the Forum Rules here. Don't ever mention or use any kind of warez(Lucky Patcher is an example of warez) while you are a member of XDA. This website is created by developers for developers, it's not a good idea to use or discuss software designed to steal their work(warez) in their own kingdom.
