USB Mass Storage reg - Touch Cruise General

Anyone has the default usb mass storage working on the polaris ?
if so can i get some input from you, a registry dump. Along with a driver file for the mass storage to work. It name will be at
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\USB\FunctionDrivers\Mass_Storage_Class
in the "Dll" string. Should be located in the Windows folder.
I will try to make a cab to get it working, for other users.
Regards,
Lord Meshadieme

Very interesting, I expect you to upload it to the cab for test.
Tk's.

BUMP, any help appreciated to providing me info on a working setup with Mass Storage.
I've tried the major roms already most of them dont even have the option, 3lit3 has the option which replies that the sd card is missing. which i can fix with registry edits but i still dont have the driver.

Deleted files in My Storage

Is there no way to take it back. I accidentally deleted it off when I connected it in my laptop using Vista Ultimate, so it is not synced. In Computer, I see it as a portable device, and inside there, there are 3 different folders \, My Storage, and Storage Card.
The files are fairly important to me... Anyway I can get it back?
first thing you need to do is NOT touch the storage card at all.. that is.. don't copy ANYTHING new on it.
now... download Active Recovery 7... read your storage card through a reader..
and you can recover the files..
Um, it is not storage card, it is the MY STORAGE from internal memory.

Click to collapse
Try connecting your device as a card using some program. I don't remember which one. Maybe someone can enlighten you on a program that does that since I have no clue about any.
install nueMassStorage. declare connecting as a usb key rather than activesync.
it might let you use active recovery..
Thank you guys!
Thank you nir36 for the program!!
Though, I lost like 2 or 3 pictures because it was overwritten somehow? But I got msot of them back! Thank you! And very useful tool too!

Reg Issue?

Hi guys,
I have a T-Mobile Ameo 16Gb but im unable to see the internal storage on the device. All i have in the memory options are Storage Card. Not the internal storage.
Anyone got any ideas?
Presumably you don't have it connected to the PC in 'disk drive ' mode do you?
If that's the case then the drive is demounted from the mobile OS.
Have you tried a soft reet? It may also be worth going Start/settings/connections and tapping USB to PC and making sure Activesync is selected.
If none of that works then I'd try a hard reset and if that doesn't work the device is probably faulty .
Or... somebody has uploaded a rom from X7500/X7501, which does not have drivers for 16Gb Flash Drive.

Deleted Driver's Folder in the Registry

I accidentally deleted the driver's folder in the registry.
now I can't access the sd card and activesync doesn't connect anymore.
my device is a PNA called axxion gps 374 with wince 4.2.
I still see the desktop and the resident flash, I can issue commands from the prompt.
Is there a way to re-enable sd and usb drivers or access the resident flash?
thanks in advance
?
really nobody?

Application installed in device instead of storage card

Hi there, i am not sure if anyone has experienced this problem, i tried to install these games ( Xtrat and Experiment 13 ) onto the storage card, but even though i clicked storage card, there were somehow being installed in the main memory of the device. I tried twice already and it is still the same. Any suggestion?
there's file path built-in in the cab...
if the files are hard coded.... I guess the only way is to rebuild the cab file....
that's what i was thinking. The built in memory for HD2 is quite limited. wish there is more....
thanks anyway

[Q] ANY way of mounting internal storage to PC? (for data recovery)

Hey guys.
I realize the SIMPLE answer here is probably no, but I'm in dire straits here.
I don't know how, but somehow, my xoom deleted all of my photos, now I honestly don't know if it was on my external sd or internal storage things got messed up, but I'm currently running a full deep recovery on my sd card to check there.
I'd also love to be able to do the same with the internal storage. Since they took away the USB mass storage thing, this seems 'improbable'. But I really need some of the wise wizards in here to tell me if there's ANY way - maybe an old kernel? maybe there's a way to do it with linux!? If anyone could help me, I'd let you name my first-born child
you should be able to see both the SD card and the internal card mounted when you plug in the USB cable, make sure you have the correct USB driver. Hope this helps..
yeah, the MTP protocol allows me to see it, no problems. But it needs to be mounted as mass storage device for data recovery tools to be able to get to work on it, since MTP doesn't give access to the actual file-system.
