I want to send text information from a PC to my mobile phone via USB for displaying and then receive the (touch-)keypad response from the mobile at the host PC. The host PC uses windows - but I can't use Outlook.
Is this possible? Can you point me to instructions?
or
Do you know of a test program that does what I need?

How do I sync MANUALLY. I want to take a file from a PC to my XDA.
However, an XDA II is set up on the same PC and I want to only use this temporarily.
How can I copy just one file across without ruining the other person's synchronised files?
Thanks.
just connect as guest and then copy the file over in File explorer on the PC
Mobile device just be listed there as a "hard drive"
How do I connect as a guest?
Also, when I try to connect, I get the "Connecting" box which doesn't actually connect (see attached picture).
it should give you a popup asking if you want to make a patnership or
connect as guest
if it's windows 9X or ME it could act up though
and make sure you are using the latest version of activesync

It allows you to control your phone on the pc, so you can type and send your text on your pc. Dont know if that what you were after, but i use it.

This is an excellent program. I put it on my microSD card on the phone so I can copy it to any machine I'm at. It even runs in WINE on Ubuntu! You can connect to your phone w/o Activesync via the Connect IP option.
Hi, I have been struggling for days, to try to get internet on my Smartphone via Bluetooth on my Desktop PC, is Data is massivly Expensive in this country. Whenever I go to Connetions > add new connection for Bluetooth, and I add a new Device, I see my Desktop PC there. However when I see the services, all I see is Activesync, I select that, push save, and it just goes back to add a new device again. I also tried, to connect via the Bluetooth PAN Device, on my PC, and I choose connect using access point, it gives me an error. "The connection with the Bluetooth Device failed. The device may be already connected to another computer, or it may be need to be configured to accept connections from this computer. Consult your device documentation for further information.
Please can someone help me?
Thanks
Hi,
These days I try and try to send data(stream) from an Android-Mobile to a PC VIA USB cable,
I made it good that a socket("10.0.2.2", 6543) on the android emulator sending data stream to a ServerSocket(6543) On a PC , before which I had run "adb forward tcp:12345 tcp:6543".
But when I setup a socket("10.0.2.2", 6543) on a REAL Android-Mobile and a serverSocket on the PC, the socket on the Android-Mobile can NOT send data to the ServerSocket on the PC.
Please help me. Why can't I use the socket on the Android-Mobile to send data to the ServerSocket(6543) on the PC. What is the different between the REAL device and the android emulator. Or , is the IP setted to be wrong? How can I get the IP of the PC VIA USB ADB?
On the other hand, I make it out to send data from a PC to a REAL Android-Mobile as socket and serverSocket.
Thx all for focusing!
My English is so-so. Did I describe the question clearly enough?
