Reverse chrome-to-phone, essentially phone-to-chrome/comp - Droid Incredible Themes and Apps

I use to never surf on the browser when I had the G1 but now I have the Incredible and I'm always on the browser now but I got some websites I want to be able to push straight to my computer. Is it possible to do that (a work around) or an app that can do so?

i would like to know too. i really need this app!

Yep, its called android2cloud. it's great

THANK YOU SO MUCH
I have been wondering about this since I got my phone. You just saved me a huge hassle.

is there an easy way now?

there's also one called phone2chrome that uses dropbox to push pages to an extension in google chrome. works pretty well.

Blackboard Application

I'm looking for a Blackboard Application for Android (obviously). If you don't know what the program is here is a link. It's used for class work at a lot of colleges. There is a mobile app available for iPhone and I believe one is in development for Blackberry.
http://www.blackboard.com/
I previously have worked with Blackboard as both a student and an instructor. Aside from the fact that Blackboard, eLearning, WebCT, etc are all crappy tools, I believe their API for access is completely closed off so developing an Android app relies mostly on Blackboard's end to develop it.
I know it's not the answer you're looking for, but there are other tools on the web like Blackboard that provide your own private course set up to keep track of your documents for class, etc. If you just keep on top of what's being uploaded for Bloackboard then you can keep a pretty nice management suite for all of your coursework, but it obviously won't be up to date with what your teacher uploads.
I hope you find something that works, cause I've looked into this myself. Let me know if you have any luck.
If I recall, blackboard is basically implemented as a website.
That being the case, just point your browser at it and be done.

Yes I figured as much. I wrote blackboard on the situation and I've not received a response and I don't think that I should. I had heard however that certain rooted Android based phones are able to run iPhone apps. I don't know if thats because of developers converting the apps or there is actually an emulator available.

That was my initial attempt actually. Their are various plugins with the site that make that complicated. The website rejects logins from mobiles. I actually have trouble accessing the website unless I'm using either Firefox or IE.

You sure about it rejecting mobile sites? I do remember accessing the site via Opera Moblie 9.5 beta(when it was just leaked) on my WM phone and via Opera Mini 4 with out an issue.

Yes it actually has to do with the school. While Blackboard is run via a website that website is administered by the school. The school I go to blocks all connections from cell phones for some reason. I've spoken to the IT support guys but they don't seem to care about working with me. I'm transferring schools next semester so hopefully I won't have to worry about it after that.
Im not positive, but i am pretty sure i have accessed blackboard with my mytouch. i am running CM 4.2.8 and enochx. what you have to do is go into the browser and go into settings, there is an option called mobile web settings and in there you can choose desktop and it makes you phone like a regular browser. thats what worked for me, hope it works for you too.
Works on Dolphin for me, check my grades there often.
I have also been able to access blackboard just fine on the default browser and Dolphin Browser.
A stand alone app would be cool, but would require alot of work and possibly authentication from the school? which would not happen
I use blackboard with my g1 browser quite often. I cannot say that there are no problems, but can that ever be said in regards to blackboard?
as a student I've used Blackboard, WebCT and Moodle..and i gotta say I found Moodle to be the coolest (and as I recall it's open source).
Anyway, if your school blocks connection from mobile phones, you can use the Dolphin Browser (or the default one if it's modded) and change the user-agent to Desktop instead of Android. Maybe that would work?
Bb on G1
It's always been a bucket of headaches, but i can confirm that perseverance pays off. The main issue is endless loop/failure on trying to login. My most reliable way around this is by accessing my school's main student portal page first and after logging in there, using the Blackboard course link. Kind of a backdoor in but if your school provides that sort of portal, it's worth a shot. Also FYI, when I had a BlackBerry I never had any luck with stock browser, but Opera always worked. Good luck, hope this helped.
so apparently there is a Sprint only Blackboard app out now for Android phones, does anyone know why it's only for Sprint phones or if it'll ever be a standard market app?
YES!! my school has quite a bit of trouble working blackboard, and there are always issues getting students into class, allowing them to see the class shell etc... And on dolphin I can check it, but sometimes it would block me. This app is extremely needed. Sucks its only on sprint....but I'm glad i got a sprint hero!
I am desperately trying to find this app so I cant install it on my phone even though i am with T-mobile.

Why doesn't someone just use skyfire, let's you fool a page that you're a desktop and not a phone.

Nice!
I've been looking for something like this. It's very useful if the phone is in the docking station.
Thanks for the hint.

So where is the app? Ive been looking for something like this for quite some time. What about if we can also access the SDcard thru wifi on our browser like some of the apps in the market such as aFile....which the developers abandoned.

Same here... this is a pretty sweet concept! It definitely looks like a draft, but works great. I've noticed that you can switch back to your normal input method from the WiFi Keyboard input method and still use the URL to type, indicating that the service is initiated by selected the keyboard but doesn't end when the keyboard is switched away from. (Sure enough, Linda Task Manager shows that it continues to run in the background until reboot.)
This will be great when the page gets polished, maybe gets an UI on the phone, or even just an on/off widget in the future! Are there any other programs like this, even VNC servers or programs like MyPhoneExplorer (which is for Sony Ericsson phones)?
EDIT: I take that back, the process continues but eventually does end itself (or at least stop functioning), but there are a few minutes where you can continue to use the browser input before it terminates.

[Q] Chrome to (multiple) phone

Does anyone know how Chrome to Phone reacts with multiple devices?
I have Chrome to phone nicely working on both home/work laptops and Chrome to Phone on my phone
but now I have a Xoom I'd like to be able to push links to either phone or xoom depending on what I am planning on using... I recently tweeted a link from laptop to pick up on Xoom... when I thought it'd be simplier to C2P it...
Had a quick google and search on the forum but couldn't see any/many people doing it without logging out and logging in and using multiple accounts...
just a simple 'where do you want to send the link' a bit like the Android Market works would be good enough...
Thanks
Have the same question! Got a phone+xoom and unfortunately the one i install chrome-to-phone apk the last is the device that gets "registered". no way to choose the device to which to send to!
bummer!
It sends to both. I can't see a way to change it.
Sent from my phone
I wonder if its something we can bug google to add as a feature in an upcoming update...
Would so love to see something like this - send either to my phone or my tablet: it makes perfect sense! Wonder why nobody has made anything like this?
Apparently more than one extension exists for this function.
Use the correct extension, this allows for selecting a device from all recognised devices in your Google profile:

What have you done with Blue Stacks?

Well this is my first post on XDA, but since BlueStacks came out and I've had a chance to play around with it, I had to ask how other XDA members were utilizing it. I've managed to get ADW Launcher EX on there with a bunch of apps including podcastr, halo reach stats, IMO, 4shared, appBrain and more. When I pull up the emulator the ADW desktop is set to the largest amount of icons on the homepage so it looks just like an Android Desktop OS would look like. I'm pretty excited with home snappy it runs and wondering if this could ever become an actual OS - this is really clean compared to Windows. It definitely needs to be fixed up but I like it.
Seems like BlueStacks might be taking it in a "Premium" direction though. The market won't work so the only way to get APK's is with there cloud app or via 4shared or the browser (apks). Also you have internet but not on your own wifi, I believe it connects to there server and routes you through it so watch what you are doing on it - when you pull up the browser its there homepage and there is no wifi settings even though I turned wifi on with the power widget.
Check out the screenshot and tell me what your doing with BlueStacks
This software dose not have a proxy so don't worry about it, its just a virtual player and its still a baby.
Here is a little post I did on FB about what I use it for
Hey guys, the posts have been a little slow so I thought I would as a question that we all can reply to, when you do use bluestacks what do you use it for?
I use mine for testing my apps I make or apps I want to use on none supported android devices, I also sometimes use it to play that piggy game that comes with it lol I also use it for web dev when I want to see how it looks like without finding my phone out lol
I still don't feel bluestacks is able to do what we all need it to do, I feel its down the bluestacks trying to limit us on how we use it and the player is good but at the moment still very unstable, I really hope they will get better and I keep watching, what about you what do you use it for and what's your view on it so far.
I would give there app 6/10

FreeStacks Group Here
The web uses the connection of the pc and the browsers home page is just set to bluestack so your ok, people have been moding bluestack with no problems, your right they are heading for a pro version but you can install apps via the adb or web and other things like that.
I use bluestacks as a small window I made gizmostack that lets you resize the window, so I hope this lets you see one others might use it for good luck.

[Q] Web Based Text Messaging

So I am looking for another solution for a very serious problem. I need to be able to send and receive texts from my computer and I have tried a few out. I'm looking for a crowd suggestion here. Which one is the best? I have used Pocket.do and it kills my battery like crazy. I've used chrome extension based apps, I've used installed phone managers, and I've used completely web based ones. I prefer a web based interface like MightyText, which is what I currently use. My only rule is, it can't rely on WiFi. I work in an office building and I am not able to get on the same network my computer is on, so wifi apps like Airdroid won't work(Unless it has a USB tether option). I had an issue with DeskSMS too. The only reason MightyText isn't perfect is just how buggy the app site is. It takes an average of 20 seconds each time I click to read a text, much less send one. I'm constantly having to refresh the app.
Anyway, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and might just be the perfect app for what I am looking for.
Thanks in advance.
