I have created a custom boot animation from the TV comersial from the Droid X.
Believe it or not, I recorded the video with my Incredible then made the animation frames in Photoshop.
I extracted the sound from the movie to make the mp3.
Here is an animated gif of the animation, the gif will loop for display purposes but the animation on the phone will end at the last frame and then a looped animation of the eye fading in and out will continue until the boot sequence finishes.
The animation looks better and is smoother on the phone, the gif is rendered in 256 colors.

Sick bro, looks great!
I like the other version better where after that sequence, it turns into the regular droid x boot animation eye and that loops. I'm trying to find the link though. I think its posted on another forum though :/

Hi,
I'm sharing this very cool boot animation. First of all, I didn't make the graphic. I found the original animated gif on a free mobile wallpaper website.
Then, I asked mudknot2005to make a boot animation with it. He kindly made it for me and even added a cool entrance scene.
From there, I added extra frames to slow down the bouncing motion that was too quick. Then, I added "Loading..." to make it more appealing and appropriate for the booting process.
*Animation is quicker than what you see here. When I made it into gif to post here, my software didn't allow me to make it quicker than this. It also depends on your phone's processing speed, I think.
I'm really loving this one!
If you don't have a dropbox account, you could help me gain extra storage by creating your own 2GB free account by following this link: http://db.tt/77uk7GA
If you already have dropbox or don't want to create an account, you can still download it from here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/23148420/Bouncer_bootanimation.zip
I created a custom boot animation for my Dinc last night and figured I would share it with the good folks of XDA.
It is basically an Apple logo being shot a few times by the Android figure, then blows up. This was my first attempt at creating a boot animation so any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
I haven't been able to set it out on my Dinc due to some issues accessing the system folder on a new ICS ROM that still needs to be worked out. But, I did test it using the Boot Animation Previewer and it worked fine there - so I am making the assumption it works on my device.

Updated: So I realized that this file is never going to work because the original is 151MB, so I severely cut down the size, the links above now post to a new file that is 3.8MB. This should work now.
Sweet bootanimation.
Favorite movie! will download

The Nightmare Before Christmas Boot Animation.
It's summer break and I have nothing to do, so I am just making some random Boot Animations. I know its not Halloween or Christmas, but I love the movie and so I made a boot animation from it. I choose a certain segment from the "This is Halloween" scene because the whole thing would've been too big.
Anyways I hope you like it. I would upload the whole boot animation as a gif so you could see it, but I have no idea how to make a gif with thousands of pictures. Remember to rename it to bootanimation!

I love you. =D
Little by little I will make more of these boot animations. as they will eventually take part in a new system. I have one currently made I hope you like. If there is something you want me to change and many go for out and say so I will most likely make that change. I will attach the boot animations in the post below so they can have a dedicated place.
Note: I have a poll set up unfortunately you won't see it through XDA Labs app so if you wanna have a chance to vote go ahead on a web browser.

Swinging Skeleton will be up in the next few days, followed by Skeleton Using Phone.
Unfortunately I don't own surnia anymore; but, I will finish the rest of the the animations the voters asked for and upload soon. With that said, I might create the rest of them later; but, that is all I will be doing for surnia if so at this state.
